Walked into this place with high hopes bc of the reviews from friends. This is a small and quaint little spot. Looks like there may be new owners bc the regulars, according to my friend, were not there to greet us. We go a table in the corner and the server took our drink order immediately. The decor is and pleasing to the eye. You walk into a delicious smell of curry. I was really excited to have the salad with the peanut dressing. The top layer was great but it was all water underneath. Either they washed the lettuce and it was dripping into the dressing or the dressing was watered down. I was starving so I ate it. We both had the chicken pad Thai. I had mild and my friend had the 3 star. This pad Thai had to have been made with pure sugar be I aww it was easy too Sweet to eat and the noodles were all struck together like they had been sitting out. To boot, I had about 4 little pieces of chicken on this dish (they charge extra for the chicken BTW). I love pad Thai and this was a no go. My friend stated that they must have changed the chef bc she was not pleased with her order either. It was too much sweet mixed with hot. The lunch prices are good and o just wish the food matched. This is a thumbs down for me. I love to support local business but won't be back unless I see something different. I am always willing to give a business the benefit of the doubt but when a regular patron says they've changed completely, there has to be a reason. read more

Actual 4.5 stars. The half point is for the chicken I had in two dishes. The chicken was dry and tasteless. The bright side is that all the dishes were excellent. The soup to the curry flavors were off the chart! The service was excellent and friendly. The dumpling dipping sauce was among the best I have ever tasted. My Wife had shrimp with her Penang curry and it was very nice. I highly recommend with the reservation regarding the chicken. read more

Shame on me for loving this place so much, but never writing a review. I come to this place often because it's really close to my office and I am always really impressed by how consistent the food is and how great the service is. When I think about shrimp pad Thai, this is typically the place that I think of when I am craving it the most. The inside isn't really that big and the place can get really crowded for lunch so we usually go a little bit early to grab a booth but other than that I'm really happy that this place is somewhere where I can get too really easily and enjoy some of my favorite Thai. read more

I've been going to Thai Delight for years. When the previous owners told us they were retiring and selling the restaurant my heart sank. By far one of my favorite restaurants. We tried it not long after and weren't too impressed. Prior, the food was phenomenal. We'll, we returned the other evening and I'm happy to say the food was fantastic. Restaurants just seem to get lazy - and instead of using spices/herbs/seasonings they just throw in more oil and sugar and hope people won't notice We ordered: Papaya Salad Pad See Ew Spring Rolls Pad Thai Red Curry Chicken with Basil Sauce First, I would be being generous if I said that the $13 or $14 papaya salad had even 1/2 cup of papaya. It looked like a lot, but it was a small mound of papaya plopped on top of a bunch of iceberg lettuce. Papaya salad should be sour/spicy/funky/sweet. But it was ONLY sweet. No fish sauce, no spice, no lime, no dried shrimp. Just sweet chili sauce of some sort. 0/10 Spring Rolls - tasty, typical nothing extraordinary Pad Thai - inedible. Super sweet and missing any complexity at all. Tasted as if they opened a jar of grocery story pad thai sauce - didn't have dried shrimp, tamarind, garlic.... just blech. It went right in the trash Pad See Ew - tasty but again, overly sweet Curry - good flavor , far too sweet. No funky flavor from fish sauce, just canned curry paste with a ton of sugar Chicken with Basil - ok, but again way too much sugar Never again..... read more

I have NO IDEA where these 4 star reviews come from. Are the advertisements? We spent $80 to pick up 2 appetizers, 1 soup, 2 noodle dishes. Crab Rangoon- if there was crab in there, I don't believe it. They were terrible. Spring rolls - they were okay. Wonton soup - chicken and shrimp wontons? Hmmm, probably not. Pad Thai - my husband ate it, even though we asked for medium spice and he got high spice. Pad Woonsen - chicken and noodles. No tomato or egg, bland. Does this look like pad woonsen to anyone else who eats it? Not everyone should have a restaurant ‍. Gave it a try based on reviews, but would never spend another penny there. read more

A mom and pop restaurant, hospitality amazing, the food delicious, always consistent. They cook to order so " hotness " can be adjusted. Small storefront restaurant, they do a huge takeout business as well. I get crispy tofu in red curry with veggies, so delicious. The Pad Thai was also very good. My husband and I stopped here for lunch the other day. We both really liked our meals and everything about the place. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with a number of empty or closed storefronts. Don't let this stop you from coming here. It's small and unassuming inside. Casual and comfortable. Service was very good. They get a lot of regulars who were warmly greeted. They have quite a few lunch specials from which to choose -- as well as their regular menu. I liked that the menus are on each table under the glass tabletops. No need to handle them plus they are easily readable. Each lunch special comes with a Thai chicken noodle soup. The clear broth is flavorful and the noodles are light. There are pieces of chicken and sliced scallions in it, as well. My husband ordered their pad Thai with pork. It came with white rice on the plate as well. You don't normally get to choose a spice level for pad Thai, but they made it medium spicy per his request. It was quite good. I ordered their duck curry. I requested that the sauce be served on the side. The duck pieces were nice and crispy. The bowl of curry sauce had some kick to it (at medium spice) -- enough to tear my eyes -- but was wonderful and packed with bamboo shoots. The dish also had white rice served with it. I recently started working in the area and was craving Thai food. I took to YELP to read some of the reviews and decided to head over. I arrived around 1PM on a Friday and the restaurant was active. It's also a small place. All the tables have the menus under glass and are simple. The proteins are listed, which you select one of, and then you decide how you want it prepared. There had to be over fifteen choices. From different types of curry, peanut sauce and pad thai style and many I cannot remember. Each entree comes with a clear broth noodle soup, that tastes great and a side of rice. One also gets to select how spicy they want their dish prepared. From #1, no spice, up to #5, really spicy! I had chicken pad, prepared at a #4 for spice and it was absolutely delicious. Lunch was also under $13, which is a rarity today. Service was great and I'm looking forward to returning. read more

This is literally my favorite Thai restaurant in South Florida. I have been to Phuket & have tried authentic Thai food as well as many places in South Florida & this is by far, the best. I used to come here all the time when I lived closer & I am so sad that I've moved farther because nothing compares! Thai delight is owned by the sweetest couple which makes the experience even better because the customer service is great. They are so welcoming & friendly. I always order the chicken pad Thai & green curry & I ask to make it Thai spicy because I love spice. I remember each time that I've called, the owner is shocked by my spice tolerance because of the way many people usually cannot handle Thai spice. She is literally the sweetest human. Actually perhaps 3.5 stars. The food is fine but not outstanding. The main dishes are listed by method of preparation. E.g. Peanut sauce, garlic sauce, etc. Then you select chicken pork, shrimp, beef. The problem is that the dish becomes monotonous. The few vegetables provided are not enough to provide a balanced plate. This was certainly true of the garlic sauce. Again, nothing bad but not interesting. However, on a Monday night one very big plus. The restaurant was less than half full with no ambient music. My son and daughter-in-law were visiting and she has celiac, requiring gluten free food. We called Thai Delight to find out if they have gluten free options, which they said they did. We told them we would come there. When we arrived, we were asked if we were the people who had called. While we were on our way, they double checked all of the ingredients they use and informed us of a couple of items they thought were gluten free, but wasn't. They made the dish requested, careful to explain how everything was kept separate. Recently had an office built nearby and have been trying different places for lunch. This has to be my favorite thus far. Great lunch specials, clean restaurant, very nice people running it. I needed help with the menu as I don't eat Thai food. I tried the spicy noodles (3 star spice) and they were so flavorful and spice level was perfect. It was served with white rice and noodle soup. New owners. Old owners retired. Food is awful. Smaller portions. Crab Rangoon was frozen and over fried. Spring rolls taste like Costco frozen product. Edamame was soft and tasted like it was very old. Pad Thai hardly had any chicken in it and noodles tasted weird. Should have know when I picked up my food and saw NO ONE in the restaurant, that times have changed and the new owners are looking for ways to save money by buying cheap food and holding longer than it should be. When I ordered the Pad Woonsen with tofu instead of meat he wanted to make sure that I was OK with egg in the noodles and chicken noodle soup which was included in the lunch special. Absolutely love this restaurant. I would eat here everyday if I had the funds. Nice and quiet with few distractions. Highly recommend the massaman curry. The old owners were amazing and we were worried when it changed over but the food is still amazing and so are the new owners. Can't expect the dishes to be exactly like before but they are equally exceptional. I haven't tried everything yet but am close. If you like it spicy, like I do, they can deliver. For reference I like the spicy thai flavors and if they don't make me break out in a sweat while I'm eating then I am disappointed. Took me a couple visits to develop a repor with owners before they got to know that when I asked for Thai spice level 8 or 9 that it was safe to serve me what I asked for. My girlfriend can't take spice at all and she has never had a complaint about the spice level when she asks for a level 1. To all those people that make a judgement on one visit because it was too sweet or too spicy I'm sorry but perfection is hard. Maybe give it another try before posting. read more
