We stopped by for a late dinner and had a really great experience. The staff was very nice, friendly, and accommodating, and we enjoyed sitting outside for the evening. We ordered the spicy tuna roll (chopped tuna, kimchi sauce, masago, scallions, sesame oil instead of sesame seeds), the salmon skin roll (crispy salmon skin, cucumber, scallions instead of sesame, and eel sauce), and a seaweed salad. The rolls were absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and prepared perfectly. The only thing I didn't love was the seaweed salad because it also included cucumber, which wasn't my favorite combination. The restaurant is conveniently located next to MD Now and across from the 5th Avenue Shops. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. Osha is a place I pass everyday and perhaps because of its Thai-Sushi combination I never tried it as usually the Thai-Sushi mix is often average Sushi and average Thai with no real focus and often compromised authenticity. I should have trusted my instincts because that's just what Osha was with every item we tried being average or forgettable. A Thai dish disappointed and was just basic and seemed like ingredients were left out and this was ditched. Sushi was okay and nothing more and I've certainly had worse. After looking around for cars; the family surveyed the area for where to go for dinner. Looking for something not too heavy or light, our eyes were on sight for Osha Sushi and Thai. Going inside, the place was jumping, but we were seated rather quickly. For dinner, we got 1x ginger salad, 1x rainbow roll, 1x Osha roll, and 1x pad thai medium spicy with no peanuts. Moving on with the review, the food was pretty tasty! Out the gates, the ginger salad had fresh veggies, but ginger dressing tasted bitter (not as sweet as most restaurants). The rainbow roll came with fresh and savory cuts of fish, which was delightful. The osha roll had fresh and savory cuts of fish and paired nicely with the crunchy tempura flakes, eel sauce, and spicy mayo drizzled on top! The pad thai had nice flavor on its own, but with some extra chili powder and chili vinegar sauce on the side, it then was next level! Moreover, we found everybody inside to be very friendly and attentive, which was a plus. Clean, pleasant and attentive service. We went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but the service was excellent. Water was promptly filled, food came out pretty quickly. We had gyoza dumplings which were pretty standard and good. We had the combo drunken noodles and pad se eew with chicken. Both entrees were very good and spice levels perfect. Ok, we walked in at 7pm on Christmas Day. The place was lined out the door! We were greeted by a guy named Duke who told us he would make our take-out order as fast as possible but also told us it would be close to 30 minutes. Fair enough as I've owned a very busy restaurant and I understand what busy is like. I absolutely love the positive attitude from Duke, AJ and especially Katie! She is amazing!!! The thing I was a little annoyed about is they charge you 4% for using their credit card machine without telling you I think you should be aware that whatever you order, if you don't pay cash, you're going to be paying an extra 4% they have a big chalkboard with some of the specials. First time at OSHA and we recognized the owner from a previous restaurant. He was very friendly and welcoming, and offered us drinks right away. We started with lychee martinis, which were absolutely delicious. He had the chef make us a complimentary tuna tartare appetizer, which was over the top yummy. We shared a Thai papaya salad with salted crab. I have to say I did not enjoy it so much as the crab pieces were very tiny and they still had the shell on so it was hard to pick through and it was a bit too fishy for my taste, however the sushi was amazing. We had the Ruby spider roll, which is basically a spider roll with tuna on top. My friend had the bomb and she loved it so much. She also got one to go home. We had a great lunch here today. I'd bookmarked this place a while back and finally made it. It's located on the west side of US one/Federal Highway. There's parking right around the building. Inside there are tables, a banquette, and a sushi bar. There's also a small patio, if you prefer to dine outside. They have a number of lunch specials including boxes and Thai entrees. Prices for lunch are $8.95 and $12.95. During the week soup and salad are included. On the weekends, you can choose either soup or salad. We both chose the salad to start. It's the usual mix of iceberg lettuce, grape tomatoes, cucumber slices, and carrots with a better than average ginger dressing. Ok, I admit, I "drank" the remaining dressing in the bottom of the bowl like soup. We both chose one of the Thai dishes. He had their mixed vegetables and had it with pork. The vegetables were a mix of squash, mushrooms, cabbage, snow pea pods, baby corn, and broccoli. I had their red curry and upgraded to shrimp (for $2 more). The broth was savory and had bamboo shoots, red peppers, green peppers, and Thai basil. Both dishes were served steaming hot. The rice was a huge mound. We'd chosen medium spicy for each dish. It was very good -- but my nose was running --so next time I'd try their mild version. They also have a full menu of sushi and more elaborate (and larger) Thai options. Service was good. The soup was also ok. Big fan of the Thai Iced Tea. My husband thought his dumplings were spectacular as well as the JB Roll.
