Ok. Beyond the fact Mama (rice) has monopolized Ventura county, I absolutely am in love with Thai Fire. My girlfriend and I got lunch (no drinks) and was UNDER $40!!!! She ordered a vegetarian bento box and it was filled to the brim with food. The presentation of the food AND the quality is amazing. Hands down, my favorite Thai place in Ventura. Highly recommend and am so excited to go back. I love the edible flowers! I understand why they have a 4.8 ratings.

As locals who have tried just about every Thai spot in town, and as self proclaimed very picky, Thai food lovers, this place absolutely exceeded our expectations. Tie is our favorite cuisine so we don't say this slightly, this place is amazing! Everything was incredibly flavorful, but the yellow curry was next level, Rich, comforting and seriously one of the best we've ever had. It's a small smaller spot, so definitely expect a wait, but it is 1000% worth it. Their service is friendly and fast, and the experience feels really personal. The owner even came by to check on us and spend some time chatting about the restaurant and his role in the community, which made it feel even more special. (bonus, it's locally owned by a fire chief who just adds to the heart behind the place) the decor is super cute and unique, with art, props, and firefighter touches that give it so much character. We already can't wait to come back, and honestly, no other Thai place is going to live up to this one anymore!

Whomever is reading this review, words can't express how amazingly wonderful our food , service, ambiance was at Thai Fire. Upon entry, we were greeted with a smile and a very small wait. They were full. After being seated we were greeted by a sweet young lady that asked us if we had any questions don't hesitate to ask. We ordered Tom Kha soup, we all agreed it's the " Best we've ever eaten ". We ordered Dumplings, Spring Rolls and Mango Sticky Rice!! All served family style. The place was very clean. If we didn't live 2.5 hours away, we would be there probably weekly. We highly recommend trying Thai Fire. You will not be disappointed. Here are a couple pictures I took. I forgot the soup. lol

Delicious food and excellent customer service! Great ambiance and lovely music. It's a small restaurant but it definitely got full quick after 5 when they opened for dinner so you know it's good food! Lots of food pick ups too. If you're in the area, stop by and grab dinner after 5. Looks like they are also open at lunch and I saw lunch specials on the menu too.

Our first time here and everything was great! The food was great, the service was great, ambience was good. I've tried a couple of Thai restaurants here in Ventura and they always disappointed me, specially coming from LA and after visiting Thailand, this is the only Thai restaurant we will be going to from now on in Ventura county. Food options are great, we tried the fried rice, pad Thai, pad see ew, tom yum, and Thai tea. All were great! Even if my husband's ordered came really late, they were so generous about it and the portions were amazing! All shareable! Happy to know there's a Thai restaurant we'll be going to from now on.

Quaint, small restaurant with a really nice ambience, very attentive & kind staff. The food was amazing very fresh. We ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer. I have eaten many spring rolls in my life and I love to make them, but I have never seen any done like this very artistic & the peanut sauce was spot on. I had a delicious Shrimp Pad Thai and tasted my nephews Pad See Ew the black soy sauce was perfect on the flat rice noodle. I want to try the Egg Plant next and I bet the curry and soups are delicious too.

Wow !! The Tom Kha coconut soup was delicious, with a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors. The Thai lettuce wraps were beautifully presented, followed by flavorful teriyaki chicken and an amazing pineapple fried rice. Every dish was impressive.

Delicious food. Best Thai I've had in a while. Huge portion, everything tastes fresh and flavorful. The red curry lunch special was also great with lots of fresh vegetables and a great portion. Everything was plated beautifully. They have a lot of crowd pleaser dishes. Thai Fire Valentine's Day Takeout Review To celebrate Valentine's Day, I ordered takeout from Thai Fire a day early to avoid the Friday rush. While I had high expectations, the overall experience was somewhat disappointing. However, my family enjoyed the meal, so that was a plus. Restaurant Atmosphere Despite the rainy weather, the restaurant was fully packed. It was small but clean and well-organized. It seemed like a popular spot, which raised my expectations for the food. The staff was busy attending to customers, creating a lively atmosphere. Ordered Dishes & Ratings (Out of 5 Stars) Egg Rolls - 3.0 As expected, these were vegetable-only egg rolls with a rather ordinary taste. They were decent but not impressive enough to reorder. Tom Yum Soup (Chicken + Shrimp Added) - 3.5 Even with the added shrimp, the broth didn't stand out. The balance between sourness and spiciness was good, but it lacked depth in flavor. Papaya Salad (Medium) - 3.5 The vegetables were fresh, but the sourness was a bit too strong for my taste, making the overall flavor slightly unbalanced. Combination Fried Rice - 2.0 One of the most disappointing fried rice dishes I've had recently. The rice wasn't fluffy or well-separated but felt slightly mushy, and the seasoning was too mild, making it quite bland. Pad See Ew (Chicken) - 3.8 This was the most enjoyable dish of the order. The texture of the noodles and the soy sauce-based seasoning were well-balanced, but the price felt a bit steep. Overall Rating * Taste: (3.0) - Some dishes were decent, but none were particularly memorable. * Packaging: (4.0) - The food was well-packaged and arrived warm. * Price: (2.5) - The price felt high compared to the quality, especially for certain dishes. * Likelihood of Returning: Low - My family enjoyed it, but I personally wouldn't be in a rush to return. Since it seemed like a popular spot, I had high expectations, but the overall value for money was underwhelming. Additionally, the flavors felt too Americanized, lacking the depth and authenticity of traditional Thai cuisine. As someone who prefers authentic Thai flavors, the taste was just okay for me--but of course, this is just my personal opinion.

This was a stopping point on our way to Solvang. Based on location I wasn't expecting much, but turned out to be a great place. My whole family loved the food, and would consider this one of our favorite Thai restaurants. We ordered the lunch special of Pad See Ew and Spicy Basil, as well as Beef Salad. Beef Salad had excellent flavor and beef was tender. Pad See Ew had the perfect texture on noodles and flavor was on point. Spicy Basil (we got it with ground chicken) had perfect balance of flavor. I really have nothing to complain about. Service was attentive and friendly, although it could've been due to coming during off hour. We were the first customers on Memorial Day.

I've read some positive reviews on this restaurant and been wanting to try it for quite a while- today was finally the day. It has a fairly small dining area, cozy but tastefully done. The server was extremely pleasant without being overbearing. The Thai Ice Tea was excellent- not overly sweet. The tempura shrimp was crisp fresh and light. My wife's chow mein was as mostly noodles and chicken, kind of boring but still tasty. My Pad Kee Mao was delicious loaded with chicken and vegetables. All food was served hot, fresh and with excellent presentation. Whenever I tell my wife we're going to try a new restaurant she balks as she is happy just returning to the ones she knows and likes. For her to say she would definitely return to Thai Fire is epic, which tells you this is a pretty darn good place. Last year we discovered Chili Basil Thai on Ventura's east end, and that became our go-to Thai restaurant. Now we have two to choose from. read more

This is my new favorite Thai restaurant in the Ventura and Oxnard area. The food is fresh and really tasty. With just the right amount of spice for me to soak a napkin with sweat. Which for me is the sign of a good time meal. Plus the staff is super friendly. read more

The food was good accept for the rice, and we ordered ours to go. When we got home all the white rice was completely mush. It literally looked like a snowballs. That is the first time in my entire life that I had rice from a restaurant that was so overcooked as that. So, whoever loaded the rice containers on our meal either didn't care, or could not recognize overcooked mushy rice. I tried to call the place after and let them know, and the phone was not working. read more

have been here maybe five times and three of them amazing and two of them were off... The food can be a bit inconsistent. The Thai lettuce cups are great. The Larb is great and sometimes the noodles can be good, but I have had times where the pad see you and pad Thai was very flavorless when it's on it's really good though. I'm not really sure why there are so many good reviews. I don't often review places but I feel compelled. We ordered three dishes. The Thai lettuce wraps were fine, a little heavy on the cilantro. The panang curry with chicken and mild spice was almost tasteless. Mild spice means not a lot of heat, it doesn't mean get rid of the flavor. The pad see you (not sure spelling) was NOT normal and actually had a bad taste. My husband and I love Thai food. We get these same dishes everywhere we go. Rice my mama, moons (amazing), sawasdee...those are our favorite places and even the other restaurants that aren't as good all have the same basic flavors. Thai fire though was an incredible disappointment. Could it have been an off night? Maybe? It was also expensive. $60 for the three dishes and the wraps were an appetizer. Eat with caution if you know your thai food. read more

The food here was absolutely amazing and the service was great too! I ordered for the first time here. Called 10 minutes before they closed and they were so polite and allowed me to order for take out. They also made a dish that I saw in Yelp, the beef jerky combo. It was absolutely delish!!! Came with one of the freshest papaya salad's I've had recently (fish sauce on the side), sticky rice and the yummiest beef. They knew I had a puppy in the car so they brought my food to the car. I could not ask for better service! read more

The food was great. The fresh spring rolls were beautiful and artistically presented. I loved the fusion of flavors from the vegetables, fruit, and herbs combinations. Very unique, fresh, and delicious. My lunch plate of Pad Tai was satisfying and plenty enough to take home for dinner. This was my first time a Thai Fire and I intend to be back. The food here is fantastic. I recommend you branch out from your usual go-tos here and just order something you never had before. The salads are crazy good. The specials reflect the current market, as with the asperagus dish today in late April. There is always a friendly reception here and it's right away obvious that your hosts are true professionals at managing a small, busy restaurant. I always leave here feeling glad I came. It seemed to take a while till someone brought us water and another little while till our orders were finally taken. We requested two Thai iced teas which were quite delicious with coconut milk subbed for the cows milk. We told the server we would be sharing our orders. We shared a vegan hot pot and a Pad See Ew with chicken. The hot pot consisted of broccoli, shredded cabbage, carrots, steamed tofu, corn, udon noodles, two vegan dumplings, sliced squash, spinach and baby bok choy. Veggies were tender crisp although the broth was rather bland. The Pad See Ew was a bit disappointing. While the sauce was tasty, the broccoli and carrots tender crisp, the chicken was not only dry but quite tough and chewy. I must add, as were sharing these dishes, the server neglected to bring additional plates and a serving ladle for the soup. So my hubby had to go inside find someone and request the serving utensils for both dishes, plates and eating utensils for sharing. So we waited again. Not sure what folks ate that gave a five star review . What we experienced fell a couple notches below that rating. Would I return? Probably not, there are better options in Ventura.

They were among the top 5 for Thai restaurants I've had, though they do face stiff competition from my top 3, two of which are also less expensive. The spice level was also a lot less intense than what I expected from reading reviews. If you know that you can typically handle spice I'd recommend level 4 or even 5, which I'll have to try at some point. However, it's not particularly likely I'll choose this one again soon over some other less expensive, friendlier, and more consistent options in the county.

I asked if they can atleast help find a table for all of us to sit together and they said it's up to us to find it ourselves. $60 for gratuity on top of high priced foods. I questioned the policy to the cashier who literally just said it's the owners policy, ran my card with the 20% gratuity, and that was it. I would have just eaten somewhere else if my family wasn't so hungry. I know my review won't mean much to visitors, or even to the owner. I rarely ever leave negative reviews. I have been coming here since they opened and was excited to share the food with my family on our vacation and the experience left such a sour taste in my mouth. This is definitely the last time I will be coming here or recommending this place.

For our mains, we chose the classic Pad Thai and, for me, the Yellow Curry - a personal favorite. I was very impressed by the level of cleanliness and organization I saw. All of the staff work very hard, and it's evident. They are also extremely kind and informative on different dishes, which is so helpful, especially if you're new to the cuisine. The food is absolutely delicious and has so much flavor. I was recommended by a friend to try their Ginger Fish, which is in the picture. It was so delicious, and is my regular order now. I'm glad I remembered to take a picture because I finished it so fast. I also ordered the Thai Tea with boba, which was such a great pairing to go with my meal. The portions for the dishes are very generous, and the presentation is always beautiful. You can tell how much time and care is put into every aspect of this restaurant, from the ambiance, to the staff, to the delicious cuisine. I'll definitely keep coming back! read more

The staff were incredibly welcoming, and when I mentioned that I had a nut allergy, they were more than accommodating, making sure my request was taken seriously. It's clear they really care about their customers' safety and comfort. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! The portions for each dish were large and the presentation was spot-on! I especially loved their green curry -- it had the perfect spice level, not too hot but with just the right kick. Everything here is so incredibly delicious. Seriously, you can't go wrong with what you order here. I've had my fair share of Thai food, but nothing beats this restaurant. The staff is also so incredibly sweet and attentive. The portions are so generous, and the drinks are really delicious too!
