We have tried about 9 different Thai restaurants in the greater Denver area and Thai Flavor is one of our two favorites. We base our Thai food off of the curry, and once a Thai place passes our curry test, I move on to try their noodle dishes and other entrees. We have had their massaman, penang, yellow, and green curries. So far, our favorites are the penang and green, which is surprising because usually my husband and I love yellow and massaman the best. That's how great their penang curry is. Unlike some other Thai restaurants, Thai Flavor is not stingy with their rice. You get a whole pot of rice! We have encountered a few places that have great curry, but will only give you a tiny bowl of rice and then charge you for each additional extra rice. Thai Flavor gives you so much rice at the beginning that you don't even need to request more! Atmosphere is nice and quiet, and the service is great. Aside from the curries, we have also had the drunken noodles and pad si-yew. The drunken noodles are a big favorite of mine. Portions are HUGE by the way, with very reasonable prices! I've been on a Thai food kick lately and I have to say this is a good one!! Ordered delivery through UberEats and the food was ready to go quickly. I ordered green curry with chicken (thai hot) and also the chicken cashew stir fry (also Thai hot) and both were delicious with good flavor. The green curry definitely had more flavor than the stir fry but I'd order the stir fry again. Thai hot is definitely very very hot, which I LOVE, but almost too hot for me. Also, the curry had broccoli (which isn't in the description) so if you hate it, like me, make sure to say no broccoli ! This will be a place I order from regularly! read more

Not only is the food outstanding, but the staff is so considerate and friendly. Especially if you are looking for a Thai restaurant to order delivery from, the restaurant is so thoughtful and careful in how they prepare and package your food. I really recommend! Finally got to have the Tom Kha soup with tofu and it was fabulous! The Fresh Spring rolls were just that...FRESH! The wrap was nice and soft and the veggies were very fresh and crisp! I've never had Thai Sausage, it's different from what I'm used to, but very flavorful nonetheless. The Short Ribs were very tender and also full of flavor. The best part was the positive experience and exceptional customer service! I ordered via DoorDash and didn't get my whole order. I was offered a refund immediately, but preferred to get the food I ordered. I called Thai Flavor directly and the young lady was very apologetic and willing to make it right, but I would have to do everything via DD. Long story semi shorter, I reordered via DD since they gave me a DD credit and Thai Flavor gave us an extra order for the trouble! They even wrote sorry on my to go box! I had to call back and thank her again for making it right! So overall... the food is bomb, the service is top notch, so yeah... I highly recommend! Thanks again... Not for me, I'm afraid. My body screamed for Thai today and my go-to place was unfortunately closed for the day. So I gave Thai Flavor a try. I got a bona fide feast delivered of pork larb, panang curry, meat combo eggplant, and beef pad see ew. All of the dishes were SO oily, watery, and one-noted; really lacking the depth of flavor good Thai is famous for. Also really skimpy on the veggies. I really want to love this place especially all the wonderful reviews on Yelp. I ordered the chicken pad thai. The noodles were too wet and it was lacking that complex, rich and vibrant flavor. All I could taste was sweet and tangy. I got large slices of chicken that wasn't well marinated. It had a strong "chicken smell." I ended up eating some noodles and tossed the rest away. Being on this side of town with my go-to closed on Sundays forced me to explore a new Thai spot. We had is as carry-out and ordered: papaya salad, chicken special dish, chicken satay and larb salad. I got the F 12 which I thought was a stirfried barbecue chicken but was actually half of a barbecue chicken with rice and veggies on the side. First off, just a little trick, you're almost always going to get authentic or close to authentic when it's close to a large asian market (Pacific Ocean), because they will make up a lot of their crowd. Now let me give you another FYI: Maybe, if you're deciding between mild or medium, take it down a notch and add your own spice (they have the typical spice station at each table). I got a medium and my mouth was on FIRE! I ordered the spring rolls, which were great. The sauce wasn't as thick and heavy as I'm used to, which I enjoyed. For my lunch I got the Drunken Noodles with tofu. There was a great balance of noodles, sprouts, tofu, and veggies. Again, I ordered Medium but was in pain. It was a sweet pain, because it was also so delicious. But that's how you know it's good, I couldve just not ate, not subjected myself to that torture, but nope I couldn't STOP! The portion size was very good, enough for two meals worth of sweet torture. The staff was very friendly and quite comedic at times. One of the waitresses/owners?/family friends?/lunch guest? was joking while she was clearing off our dishes that she simply came in for lunch and they made her work, among other jokes. Definitely the best thai food in the area! I've ordered delivery a few times but have never eaten in, so I cannot comment on the service, decor, etc. But the food is very good! I usually get vegetable egg rolls and tofu pad see ew. Vegetable egg rolls are crispy and delicious, the sweet and sour sauce with it is really tasty. Tofu pad see ew is my favorite Thai dish and these guys do it very well! Packed with flavor, lots of fried egg and crispy chunks of tofu. There are 2 downsides. As others have said, the portions do feel a bit small. I would love just a bit more value for the price. The spice level is also inconsistent. I always ask for medium spicy. Sometimes its more on the mild side, sometimes I'm sweating and chugging water. It would be nice to have a reliable spice scale to order from and know for sure what you are getting. read more

I just ordered from this place for the first time based on reviews and I was very disappointed! I have ordered from other Thai places and portion are always big enough to feed at least two people and/or a family. I spent almost 40 dollars on a 16oz cup of curry with barely any chicken and was only given a small rice which should have been bigger based on my other item that was supposed to come with rice as well, it wasn't even filled to the top! Thai flavor has been here for a long time. Their consistency is incredible. I've probably have eaten everything off their menu by this point in time. I just stick to the classic stir fried noodle dishes here but the curries are so savory you can't go wrong. Get Thai tea here too, it's good. I wish their lunch special could still be taken out but it's ok I'll eat in. Their staff is very attentive. Your food usually comes out promptly, I do not remember waiting for food more than 15 minutes or so. Most of their portions are very large but the pad see ew is relatively smaller than the other dishes for some reason but it's still very tasty. Their hot is actually pretty hot unlike a few places but it's not going to kill you. The heat they out into the dish still allows for several flavors of savory, acid, sweet, salty, and citrus to come through their dishes. I can't say this is the best Thai food I've ever had. I can say that the quality is good, you get plenty of food and it's cheap, cheap, cheap. Come for the lunch special which has a number of dishes priced at $7.99. I'm pretty basic when it comes to Thai and always judge a Thai restaurant based on the Pad Thai or Drunken Noodles. Since said noodles are not part of the lunch special, I have opted for the chicken and pork Pad Thai respectively and have been pleased. As for the ambiance, it's nothing fancy. After all this is a restaurant in a plaza, right next door to a pizzeria. As for service, their goal is to get your food to you quick, refill those drinks and have you on your way. It has never been particularly busy but this seems like a place that gets a fair share of the lunch crowd. They seem to know that and it's appreciated. P.S. There is a $10 minimum for debit and credit cards. This can easily be achieved by ordering a lunch special and sharing an appetizer. For $10, this is money well spent. read more

It saddens me to update from my previous review. I was happy to be one of the first reviewers for this place. I did love this place until we had a breakup, the honeymoon phase is over. Experiencing subpar service, raising prices on this growing economy, I understand; but, the cherry on top was when I ordered takeout during lunch, was never informed assuming it would be lunch price like it had been the past 7 years I've been here, well it wasn't. I received what was a lunch portion for $13 of Pad Thai that was gravy-sweet. I was then informed the lunch price is only valid for dine-in only, pretty unfair for those that can't afford the luxury of sitting in and dining, but either have school or work to tend to. The fish cakes were good and they were probably the best part of the meal, but the sticky rice was really hard like a hard clump so I didn't really eat it. The beef salad was pretty good but I had to add a lime to it to kind of make it what I am normally used to. Usually in this part of town for Korean food. It's a bit of a drive for us and there are some great Thai places near Denver (e.g. Thai monkey place on Broadway). We stopped by here because the restaurant we originally planned for had a 1.5 hour wait (*cough* Aki *cough*) and really glad we did! I got my usual, the chicken Pad Thai, medium spicy. This place has a nice spice gauge fitting to what I'd expect. Authentic at a spicy level I can do. Their medium is a little less spicy than Thai Monkey, but definitely has a kick compared to Aloy Thai downtown. The portions were huge and I had to pack some home. Price is reasonable. We went for dinner but did read that they have great lunch pricing. This place is located in a small separate plaza really close to the Pacific Ocean plaza. Plenty of parking in the lot. read more
