    The spring rolls were excellent
    Alan C.

This place took over the old "vegan fresh 2 U" space, so I decided to give it a try. They have Thai dishes. With both meat and seafood, as well as vegetarian and vegan choices. They have a decent sized menu, some spicy items some not, the spicy items are clearly delineated on the menu. The space is bright, it looks about the same as when it was the vegan place I was seated right away. I never met the chef, but his wife, who runs the front of house was very nice. She periodically came by to check to make sure that everything was OK The first thing I went for, is the spring rolls with shrimp. They were very good. The ingredients played very well with each other. I could taste a little bit of mint which I liked a lot. They were also generous with the shrimp. The peanut dipping sauce was savory and delicious. For my main Dish, I had the pad woon sen, glass noodles with veggies, and sauce. I decided to have mine with "mock chicken.". The Dish was a very decent sized portion, the noodles were well done, I liked the sauce, it was very savory. The veggies were mostly green and red, bell pepper. I normally don't like green, bell pepper, but it was chopped very finely, and it did not overwhelm the Dish. It was very good. It was listed on the menu as not spicy, and there was just a very, very tiny "kick" to it. The "mock chicken", to me was just OK. It tasted OK,. I asked, and she said that it was made out of gluten. For me, the texture and the taste were off just a little bit. I've had a product called. "Chick-n" before, which was closer to the texture and flavor of "real chicken". Unfortunately, this wasn't it. Again, it tasted OK, but I would not order it again. I took plenty home with me, and for the quality of the food and the fact that I got two meals, the price was reasonable. I would be glad to come back and try some other items on the menu. I hope this place does very well.

    Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles)

I recently discovered Thai Fresh 2 U. I'm always looking to try new places in the Rancho area. Fast and friendly service! I chatted with our server about their family and how long they have been in business. Seeing some photos on the wall and overall vibe, it felt like you were visiting family. A few things to try: Egg Rolls - Bean thread noodles, carrots, mushrooms, ground pork, cabbage, green onions Red Curry with chicken - Bamboo, bell pepper, Thai egg plants, mushrooms, carrots and basil cooked in coconut milk. (Medium Heat) Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles) - Bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, and basil in house sauce stir-fried with wide rice noodles

Came on a 100+ degree day and the AC was struggling in here.. Anyways, I got kaopoon despite the heat lol. It was a bit different than I'm used to. Can't quite describe how.. mostly less coconuty? I guess it didn't necessarily say it had coconut, but typically that's how it's made.. The red curry also tasted a bit different (or maybe just tasted like it was missing something). It was a generous portion, but I wouldn't get it again. My partner got the Chinese broccoli w/crispy pork belly and rice. He said he enjoyed it. My kids got the chicken & noodle stir fry kids meal to share. Very generous portion and it came with a drink. They enjoyed it and I thought it was worth it. Finally, got the nab vam. It was sweet, but had a fruity flavor that I liked. I would probably come back just for this (I'm a sweets/dessert person so this was a large part of why I wanted to come try this place out lol). So yeah, I'd come back. Plenty of other dishes I would like to try as well. Service was good. Only one lady working but she handled 4 tables pretty well. Came on Friday around 4:30-5 and it wasn't busy. Interior is nice and new. Marble, wood, blues and greens. Looks and feels clean, though there were some little gnat looking bugs around me. Bathroom clean and smelled good hehe. They just need better AC. Located on the corner, so pretty easy to see. Brown & white painted brick. A row of parking right in front of the building and more on the backside. Overall, I think the prices are fair. Many options to pick from. I'd come back. So, gotta give 5 stars cus really not much to complain about..

Crispy Pork Belly and Sticky Rice

Tried Thai Fresh 2 U for the first time. We end up ordering the thai boat noodle, chicken pad thai, crispy pork belly w/ sticky rice, and kapoon. Overall, the kapoon was good, big portion and can be shared with two people. I'll definitely give it a 7/10. Chicken pad thai was okay, had better, definitely need more sauce, 6/10. Crispy pork belly was good but the skin wasn't crispy and for $17 the portion is small, 7/10. Thai boat noodle, was a no for us. It was overly salty and too much blood which didn't blend well. Usually in authentic Thai boat noodles you can taste the star anise. It did not have that favor, 2/10.

This place was beautifully decorated and the food was amazing! Their spicy chili sauce/dip was to die for!! Also our waitress (i believe her name starts with a k) was very sweet! I will def be coming back!

    Boat noodles

Wanted some boat noodles; so, my partner suggested we try this new place. Ordered their boat noodles and the broth was very dark. The broth isn't my favorite. It has a heavy, deep pork and slight sour flavor that seems to linger on the tongue. The smell of the broth is a bit odd to me. Boat noodles 1 Star. Two additional stars for the customer service.

Excellent! I eat Thai food regularly. This place is amazing and authentic. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was nice, place was clean, service was good and prompt. I'm really glad this place has opened up here in Rancho!

Our waiterS were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable in their menu options. One of them was super friendly -- maybe even a bit cheeky! -- and he made us feel at home. Second, the ambiance was dinner date night worthy so long as you don't mind a few TVs. They didn't bother us nor was the volume obnoxiously loud. The bar area is fun and modern-looking. Third, ohmygoodness! The food was sooo delicious! The Cantonese-style Seabass paired quite lovely with Shrimp Fried Rice and Combination Veggies!!! The seabass was topped with sliced ginger and onions. It was super tasty! It reminded me of home cooked meals growing up. The shrimp in the fried rice was tender and lighted dusty with some type of flour that made it perfectly crisp. And the combination veggies was perfectly cooked and served in a light sauce! Thing is, I'm not a huge fan of "Asian Fusion" but this place seemed to hit all the boxes for us. Go give Folsom Palace a try! p.s. Each dish was beautifully presented and smelled amazing as they walked up... that I totally forgot to take pictures (lol).

The noodles were flavorful and well-seasoned, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the vegetables were fresh. Everything tasted great together. However, for $20, I expected a little more. There were only 4 shrimp in the box, which feels like too little for the price. If they had included at least 6-8 shrimp, it would have been much better. The food is delicious, but the value for the money could definitely be improved.

Gamsahamnida! Back…read moreagain, and the food and service continue to be great! The chicken katsu is still one of the best I've had--light, crispy, and perfectly crunchy on the outside, with juicy, tender chicken inside. Every visit has been consistently delicious, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I also tried the spicy pork again. It's a bit different from the Korean spicy pork I'm used to. Instead of the pork being marinated so the flavor is deeply infused, it seems to be grilled first and then coated with the sauce. While it's not the traditional style I expected, it's still flavorful and worth trying if you're open to a different take on the dish. In addition the chicken gangjeong dish that requires it to be "deep fried chicken" needs additional time to get crunchy like you would expect. I think the sauce may have made the crunch disappear. The consistency in both the food and the service is what keeps bringing me back. I'm looking forward to working my way through the rest of the menu. Other: -plenty of parking -bathroom inside -on hot days it's a little warm in the restuaruant *local family business*

Crispy, golden breading with a juicy pork cutlet underneath, smothered in a rich, savory Japanese-style curry that was comforting without being too heavy. Served with rice and fresh cabbage slaw, it made for a complete, satisfying meal. The bibimbap was fresh and well balanced, with plenty of vegetables, tender beef, and a perfectly fried egg that tied everything together. Every bite had a great mix of textures and flavor. The vibe is casual and welcoming. This is the kind of neighborhood spot you'll want to come back to whenever you're craving Korean comfort food. Rex Tip: Mix the bibimbap thoroughly before your first bite. Every ingredient is meant to come together, and that's when the flavors really shine. 5 ROARS from Focusaurus Rex

Customer Service: 0/10 It was our first time here, and the staff did not greet us when we walked in. We ordered our food from a kiosk, and the young Asian lady working didn't even inform us that there was self-serve water or where to find to-go boxes; we had to figure it out ourselves and go ask. Worse, she completely ignored my daughter when she tried to ask a question, literally trying to make herself look busy even though she knew my daughter was speaking to her. During our meal, we noticed that while she completely ignored us, she actively greeted and thanked the other customers who came in after us. When we left, she was standing right at the cash register and completely ignored us again. It is incredibly disappointing to see an employee be so selective about who they want to greet and provide decent customer service to. Furthermore, whether she is part of the family that owns the place or not, her attire was entirely inappropriate for a work environment--she was wearing black-and-white checkered pajama pants with an oversized t-shirt. Professionalism and basic courtesy seem entirely missing here. Please do better. Food Review: * Cucumber Salad: Had no flavor. It was basically just sliced cucumber tossed with some sesame oil. I love cucumber salad, so this was a major disappointment. Rate: 0/10 * Chili Wonton: Super plain with literally no flavor. I love chili wontons, and these were completely tasteless. Imagine eating wontons with absolutely no seasoning. Rate: 0/10 * Chow Mein: This was okay--probably the best dish out of everything we ordered. Rate: 3/10 * Black & Gold Molten Lava Bun: It looked interesting with a sweet, glittering liquid gold filling inside, but it wasn't as good as it looked. While the bun was soft, the filling fell short. Rate: 2/10 * Shrimp & Pork Shaomai: Just okay. We've had much better elsewhere. The outside wraps were dried out and chewy. Rate: 3/10 Would I come again or recommend anyone who happens to be nearby: No. Go somewhere else.
