Great spot to stop for lunch. We had a large group and we're served quickly. Im not familiar with Thai food but I tried the pineapple fried rice and it was delicious. Everyone loved their food.

We stopped by for a quick late lunch at this rebranded and renamed Thai restaurant in a strip mall in our neighborhood. I was surprised that this fairly large restaurant we were the only people eating. My wife is Thai and she is very picky about Thai food. We will be back to try other dishes in the future. Mango salad was nice. The dressing was sweet and spicy. The salmon was cooked just right. The Tom Kah Gai (chicken coconut soup) had a little too much lemon flavor for me but my wife enjoyed it.

Visited for lunch and a coworker going away - food was just okay - the prior restaurant food and service was much better - we had to flag down the waitress multiple times to get service and the place wasn't busy - soup in picture tasted okay but had a weird off taste so I didn't eat much of it - not recommended - ambiance is okay - place seemed like it needed a good deep cleaning and lots of unhoused kept visiting

    Cashew nut with chicken

I've been coming here for many years (it used to be Little Thai Buddha). Food is amazing! I always get the cashew nut but their curry is also really good! They are using the same recipes as the previous place. My favorite Thai place! I generally get it to go so I can't speak for the new owners service but I'm sure it's great. They did a great job remodeling the inside! My only tips for the new owners would be to leave online order by the door so people can come in to grab their orders during lunch time. And also train staff to acknowledge people when they come in and ask if they ordered online so it can be a quick process. A couple weeks ago, I got stuck behind two women that had phone orders so they both had to pay separately. My order was just waiting for me because I already paid and I got stuck waiting on my short lunch break.

Wow the food is really amazing! Me and my family came in today because my sister was craving Thai food (I'm usually not a fan) we were greeted by the server (super nice btw) and sat at our table really quick . I ordered some drunken noodles and some fishcakes My sister ordered tempura shrimp and my father ordered fried rice and calamari May I just say I've never had such a rich and wonderfully spicy drunken noodle!! My father's fried rice was also super tasty even without any spicy . Me and my sister finished off with some fried ice cream which one can't go wrong with . 10/10 bringing my fiancé next time

We use to eat here when it was just called "Thai Smile" loooooong ago. They are open 10am to 9:30pm M-F except Sundays. Upon arrival.... Pros 1) we got parking right away when we arrived. But parking is limited. 2) Both people in the restaurant immediately smiled and greeted us. 3) we got seated right away. There wasn't many people eating there. 4) restaurant looked clean. Our table, chairs, cups, plates, bowls, utensils were all clean. 5) water tasted good. No funky or metal taste. 6) Taro boba tasted great. Tum Yum soup (a little on the sweeter side), drunken noodle, and California hand roll tasted great. 7) bathroom clean. 8) we got our tab quick and it was easy to go pay it. 9) our waitress was very nice. Cons 1) there were 3 of us. Two of us got water. One didn't. We had to ask for a 3rd glass of water. Twice. But we did eventually get the 3rd glass for water. 2) Conclusion Wec have always liked this place. I recommend it. Staffs were nice, place clean, cutely wall-decorated, clean bathroom, good foods, quick in and out.

Service was great, the waitress was nice and accomodating, the sushi chef was nice as well as he occasionally came by to serve the dishes. Dishes were good and didn't take too long. Overall was a very pleasant experience. Little qualm may just be the parking can get difficult if it's busy but besides that there's still parking around just gotta walk a bit.

The gentleman running the place was very friendly. They have a large menu, including a large number of lunch specials. I was going to try either the pad Thai or the pad sei ew after lunch menu, because those are my favorites. However, I felt like something lighter, so I just went for the ginger chicken off of the lunch menu. A very good lunch. The chicken was shredded, tender, and very flavorful. All of the veggies were crisp and fresh, and I loved the sauce. I could definitely taste the ginger. The rice was a very nice texture. Even though it was a lunchtime portion, it was still very large, and I had enough to bring Home for a second meal. For all I got, the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be back, I have more items on the menu. I want to try. Thanks!

Came with 4 different sauces that complimented the different items. I'm glad I got that to try the different items. We also was given a complimentary salad.. it was actually refreshing .. dressing was like a citrus Asian dressing. Also had the pad se ew.. that was ok.. a little on the wet side and tasted ok.. we also had the lunch portion chicken yellow curry with sticky rice .. that was good as any thai restaurant. I love green Thai tea and was so happy to see it on the menu so of course I ordered it and yes it was as delicious!

The first half dozen times I came, was during 2020 and 2021 and they did not allow anyone inside beyond a tiny 3'x3' space at the far door. Take out only. I recall my review mentioned service time quoted wrong and inconsistent spice level. Well, those two were problematic tonight. I didn't ask and wasn't told how long food would be. Shortly after placing my order a group of young people walked in like they owned the place and sat at a long table that had dishes added to it as they were coming in. My food took 30+ minutes. The Tom kha seafood... I think the seafood may have been frozen and re-thawed a couple of times as it had a strange combination of textures within a piece of meat and pieces were very chewy. The spiciness, asked for medium but not too hot, like mild-medium. My liquidy yellow curry chicken was barely mild. The soup, was just sweet. Tbe rice was abundant but soggy/clumpy. The inside is absolutely lovely. I took tons of pictures for my first visit inside. I was told most was imported from Thailand. I believe it. I'm just not able to get myself to find the food good enough for me. Sad.

On Sundays, she's in the kitchen cooking and turning out amazing dishes as well! Last Sunday I brought vegetarian family over for lunch and we ordered my goto safe and tasty silver noodles. It is made of mung bean which gives this clear noodle look and quite chewy. The flavor is a good balance of sweet and savory but not spicy at all unless you tell them to. Wife had their spring rolls and kids had drunken noodles no spicy. They are very accommodating with all sorts of requests like no eggs no onion no garlic etc and wanting soft tofu rather than fried tofu. I saw how many new specials they have plastered on the window and inside entrance, I knew I had to bring my parents over this Sunday! We came in today and order the crying tiger. We do wish it to be rarer for more soft texture but the flavor was great. My parents liked the ocean in love with the lobster tail, shrimp, and scallops over spiced veggies. The BBQ pork ribs was another safe choice of mild and savory Sweet flavor while the meat was tender. I didn't try the tom yum shrimp fried rice but my parents liked it as it has coconut flavor and it was literally a mountain of fried rice! Spicy though and I had to refrain while letting my GI heal from recent injury. Upon placing the orders, the owner quickly came out to see if it was really us! That's how we found out she cooks in the kitchen as well when she is needed in there. Always a pleasure and loving the innovation of new dishes. We also love their curry puffs! Come eat local and experience it yourself! I personally like sitting by the windows with the bright ambiance during summer time

Wasn't sure what to expect with just fried tofu, but it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and I liked how it was coated in sauce. Pad Se Ew (5/5): Delicious! I ordered it at 3/4 spice, and it was perfect spice level. It had plenty of heat and flavor, and I didn't need to add any extra chili or seasoning. Humongous portion size! While doing some work in this part of Sacramento, I decided to grab lunch even though it was on the…read moreend of a traditional lunch hour, which is usually how I roll anyway. I've been craving good Thai food for a hot minute, and YELP to the rescue! Kaidao is located in a strip mall with several other restaurants. They're only open until 2:30 in the afternoon for lunch, and have an entire menu that is devoted to a ton of lunch items. It's a small restaurant, and there is extremely limited seating. There's a huge sign on their front door, telling customers and anyone else that if you wish to use the restroom that basically forget it they're not going to allow you to use the restroom. The restaurant opened up sometime in the middle of the pandemic and they've been there ever since. The restaurant seems to be run by a couple with the wife in the back cooking, and the husband taking care of the front end of the restaurant. That means he does the seating, the ordertaking, and brings everything to the table, as well as cleans up afterwards. Pictures can be deceiving. I ended up ordering the pad Thai noodles with beef. I was really looking for a lot of protein, and would have preferred chicken, but when I glanced over at the table next to me, they had a chicken dish with chicken exactly the way I don't like it. Slice pieces of white meat that taste like sawdust that has been compressed together. I just find that very rarely is it ever tasty, moist or flavorful. I ordered a Thai tea, and asked if the beef or if there was another protein that would be recommended. He insisted beef was really good. So beef it was. I had to remind him twice that I had ordered a Thai tea before he brought it to the table because it was obvious that he had forgotten. The Thai tea was pretty tasty. It was also very strong. Something that I was definitely in favor of at that time of day, but it just caught me off guard. I will say this was the best part of the meal! When my lunch arrived, you can tell by the pictures that it looks tasty. It was sadly disappointing. The noodles were not cooked all the way through and were rather hard, and I would say less than al dente. Not something that's expected in a Thai dish. All if not, most dishes can be ordered with whatever heat level you desire. This was not one of them. It was prepared mild, which was fine, it just lacked enough sauce, and sadly had even less flavor to it. It's like they skimp on the sauce for whatever reason. The beef was also exactly what I did not want and was prepared like the chicken dish Was at the table next to me. Small little tiny thin slices that were not seasoned, and was overcooked. Just overall it was not a good dish. What I did like, was a presentation of the dish. I like the fact that there was the nuts, and veggies on the side so that I could incorporate them into my dish as well as lime slices. I am thanked the man for the lime because I think it really makes these dishes taste fresh. I think if they were to cook the noodles so that they are done, add more sauce and flavor, and not overcook the meat. This would've been a great dish.

Sometimes this spells out trouble because I want to order the whole menu instead of a sensible amount of food. It was a lot of food, but I've learned House of Thai Rice & Noodle is best enjoyed family style where you get to enjoy a few things. The pricing is very reasonable for the portions and the flavor on the dishes is so good! I don't know what they do with their Chow Fun, but the noodles were so flavorful, soft and fluffy and didn't need any extra sauce. The Tom Kha soup is a comfort food for me and this is always a great option. I forgot to order rice with my curry, but eating it like a soup is equally satisfying. The Kao Soy was flavorful and the noodles were great with the broth and toppings. I've dined in and gotten take out and both are great experiences. The team here is so friendly and welcoming. When I order takeout, I typically order at the restaurant and wait and they always have me sit at a table and offer water or another drink while I wait. I do love dining in because the dishes are at their freshest and it makes for better photos. The dining are has plenty of seats and it comfortable. The plaza also has plenty of parking, but the spots nearest to the restaurant tend to fill up. If you're thinking about stopping here, try it, you won't be disappointed!
