Having becoming more of a regular here I love the owner here! She always has a smile on her face when she is out and taking care of customers at the tables. On Sundays, she's in the kitchen cooking and turning out amazing dishes as well! Last Sunday I brought vegetarian family over for lunch and we ordered my goto safe and tasty silver noodles. It is made of mung bean which gives this clear noodle look and quite chewy. The flavor is a good balance of sweet and savory but not spicy at all unless you tell them to. Wife had their spring rolls and kids had drunken noodles no spicy. They are very accommodating with all sorts of requests like no eggs no onion no garlic etc and wanting soft tofu rather than fried tofu. I saw how many new specials they have plastered on the window and inside entrance, I knew I had to bring my parents over this Sunday! We came in today and order the crying tiger. We do wish it to be rarer for more soft texture but the flavor was great. My parents liked the ocean in love with the lobster tail, shrimp, and scallops over spiced veggies. The BBQ pork ribs was another safe choice of mild and savory Sweet flavor while the meat was tender. I didn't try the tom yum shrimp fried rice but my parents liked it as it has coconut flavor and it was literally a mountain of fried rice! Spicy though and I had to refrain while letting my GI heal from recent injury. Upon placing the orders, the owner quickly came out to see if it was really us! That's how we found out she cooks in the kitchen as well when she is needed in there. Always a pleasure and loving the innovation of new dishes. We also love their curry puffs! Was looking for new restaurants in Folsom and AT Thai was highly recommended online so decided to give it a try! My friends and I went on a Friday around 7pm and the shop was not too busy. We ordered the Fried Tofu to share and then I got the Pad Se Ew and my friend got the Pad Thai. Our food came out within 10 minutes! Fried Tofu (5/5): This was very tasty! Wasn't sure what to expect with just fried tofu, but it was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and I liked how it was coated in sauce. Pad Se Ew (5/5): Delicious! I ordered it at 3/4 spice, and it was perfect spice level. It had plenty of heat and flavor, and I didn't need to add any extra chili or seasoning. Humongous portion size! Friend did mention that it would have been nice if their Pad Thai came with a lime slice but she enjoyed her meal. Overall, great food and customer service and excellent bang for buck. Went here on a whim an hour before they closed for lunch and it was the perfect meal! Our server was really nice and the food came out fairly quickly and piping hot! The thai fried rice had GREAT flavor although I did wish it was drier. It was a little bit wet but that is just my personal preferences. The noodle texture was perfect which I am pretty picky on. Portions were very generous as none of us could finish even half the dish! Plenty of seating as well and would be perfect as a dinner meal too. My family dined here for a birthday celebration and my step son chose this Thai restaurant due to its great reviews, and since we all live in different areas we met here, as it is closer to my elderly in law 's home. We all ordered their cream cheese wontons to share, and they were so good, we ordered two more orders! They were more flavorful, with the addition of garlic, than the usual ones you get at other restaurants, and we all really enjoyed them! The curries my step granddaughters ordered looked heavenly and they really liked them, and my husband ordered his favorite dish, Thai basil beef, my father and mother in law and I ordered pineapple shrimp and chicken fried rice, and my stepson ordered a curry dish. We all really enjoyed them and their servings are HUGE! We all took home leftovers, which was a plus! Be prepared for large servings! The only drawback (if you want to consider it that) to our dinner was the level of spiciness here. Fr those of us who ordered mild heat, it was way more spicy than we are used to, so, if you aren't a fan of very spicy Thai food, be aware and order it with none. My father and mother in law, who are in their mid 80's, were smart and ordered their fried rice with no spice. I've never been to a Thai restaurant (one of my favorite cuisines!) that had such spicy mil. I just thought I'd warn my fellow Yelpers who are sensitive to hot and spicy food. I recently had lunch here, with three others in my group. We gave the waitress a lot of special requests, but she handled all of them well, and cheerfully. Our entrees arrived one-by-one. I appreciated that, as it meant that each one was brought out as soon as it was cooked, and none of us minded (each person could start eating as his/her food arrived). The meal began with a small side salad for everyone, which was nice as it helped make the short wait (about 10 minutes) feel even shorter. I had Pumpkin Curry with vegetables (no meat) and brown rice. I ordered it 'Hot' (not 'Thai Hot'), but added some chili flakes I had with me, since it wasn't spicy enough for me. I found the sauce flavorful, not too sweet, and the added veggies had a good variety and quantity. I enjoyed it, and would order it again. My husband had Drunken Noodles with vegetables (no meat). He said he loved the noodles (he does love wide noodles), but actually would have preferred a few less, and more veggies. Regardless, he said it was tasty and filling. He also found the 'Hot' not that spicy, but there was enough kick that he didn't add my chili flakes. The others in our party also enjoyed what they ordered (Avocado Curry with veggies, and Pra-Ram with chicken). The waitress was great, checking in with us three or four times during our meal, to make sure we weren't needing anything. We finally try this restaurant on Saturday night for dinner. We were the only customers there so we were seated immediately. The server was very attentive to us. He checked us often to refill the water and gave us extra utensils. The food came out pretty quick (about 10 minutes after we ordered). - Pad thai with chicken: very good pad thai. The noodle was perfectly cooked - chewy and still had a bite. The flavor was on point with a hint of tamarind. They gave pretty good amount of juicy chicken pieces . The portion was very generous - we couldn't finish it between us. - green curry with chicken: delicious. The curry was creamy and flavorful. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. We ended up ordering tom yum soup, pad thai with chicken, and panang curry with beef. The portion sizes were massive. The tom yum soup was excellent. The pad thai had flavor out of this world. However, the noodle was a bit to chewy for my preference and had a lot of sauce that the peanuts were not as crunchy. The panang curry was the right amount of spicy for flavor but not burning your mouth. Also, the curry did not come with rice so make sure to order it on the side. There is a new Thai restaurant in town and it's a good one! After passing this place several times a week and reading the reviews we decided to try it for dinner. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are good. The Tom Yum soup is great and loaded with lemongrass flavor. There were pieces of chicken, mushroom, and onions. Nice umami flavor and satisfying. The pad see ew is a little more on the sweeter side but still tasty. The Thai fried rice is fabulous and my eldest gobbled it up. The chicken satay was a large and I believe they use chicken breast instead of the traditional thigh/dark meat. Overall it was a very satisfying meal. There was one server host who was working very hard and could have used more help. I wish some of the tables could accommodate larger parties- hard to fit the dishes family style on the tables.
