Finally got the chance to check out the SF Market food court and picked up a few items while I was there. Out of all the spots we tried, this one easily stood out for having the best overall quality. I ordered the shrimp chow fun, which was full of flavor and had a great balance of noodles and shrimp, nothing felt skimpy. I also tried the green onion pancake, which came with a dipping sauce on the side. It was light, crispy, and really satisfying. The pork bun was another highlight. Super fresh and a good size. For drinks, I ordered their oat milk matcha latte, which they hand whisk. It tasted smooth and well made; they only offer maple syrup as a sweetener, and I asked for half the amount, which worked out nicely. The gentleman at the register was also incredibly friendly because after I placed my order, he handed me a handmade dish scrubber that he said his mom made, which was such a thoughtful and sweet gesture. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're visiting the food court. While the portions are a bit smaller than what you'd get at a typical restaurant, the quality makes up for it, and the pricing feels fair for what you're getting. The pancakes had a sauce, we think it was a plum and it was tasty! The matcha is also fantastic! Manna House is located in the food court area of the recently-opened SF Supermarket. They have a limited menu ranging from appetizers to delicious noodle soups, fresh dumplings, and side dishes. The dumplings are some of the most affordable I've ever seen, especially for the current economy. You can get 12 tender and juicy dumplings for only $13! I've been to Manna House twice already and ordered the pork/shrimp/chive steamed dumplings both times. They were filled very nicely, and the skins were an appropriate thickness. When I bit into them, juice definitely popped out, so be careful if you are digging in as soon as you get them. I'd wait a few minutes for their internal temperatures to drop to tolerable levels. The dumplings come with vinegar and you have to ask for chili oil if you want it (chili oil is non-negotiable for me when I have dumplings). Their chili oil isn't very spicy but has a good depth of smoky flavor. The second time I visited Manna House, I also ordered their beef tendon noodle soup. For $15 it was a little on the smaller side, but not unreasonable for a quick food court meal. The broth was clear and satisfying, the beef tendon was tender and well-seasoned (with a nice braised flavor), and the noodles were bouncy and chewy (not overcooked at all). The bok choy was standard and picked up on the broth well. I asked for chili oil to add to my broth and it was delicious. Obviously for a food court, the ambiance can be noisy, but the tables are huge and the chairs are comfy. You order through a giant kiosk and get an order number, which is also displayed on a screen so you can keep track of when to pick up your order. The waiting time isn't long at all and the staff at Manna House are pretty efficient at making your food. I'd definitely continue to frequent Manna House for their delicious dumplings and would love to try some of their other dishes in the future. read more

Some solid dumplings and chow fun. This restaurant is located inside of the San Francisco market Plaza. It's located specifically in the food court. Easy, accessible, self ordering system, to go along with clean tables. The dumplings were nice, they came with a chili oil as well; I've had the kimchi ones, which were supposed to be spicy, but not much spice in there. The chowfun was flavorful as well, but nothing mind blowing. Definitely a solid option, especially if you're craving some noodles and dumplings. The biggest downside is that it is very expensive for tiny portions. The dumplings plus noodles plus soda plus tip came out to roughly $36. Food was good, but not worth the price. A really great place to get tasty soups, noodles, and dumplings! My kids and I love the pan fried pork dumplings - super good! Good Quality Food and Excellent Customer Service. We have visited Manna twice and the food is always fresh and tasty . We are Vegetarians so they were very kind to accommodate our special requests like no oyster sauce, no chicken bouillon... We love their green onion pancake - delicious, crispy and not oily. Their veggie dumplings and stir fry rice noodles were great as well. The dumpling skin was just right not hard or too thick and you can taste the wok hei in the rice noodles.... Spending $20 on Wonton Soup with noodles and a coke is a bit ridiculous. The broth is pretty mediocre and was scalding hot. The wontons barely had any filling in them and the $3 up charge for a tiny helping of noodles felt like highway robbery when the bowl was super tiny. The beef roll was pretty tasty!!! I liked it! But I don't think the portion was worth the $16 after tax and fees and my mom had the Beef Noodle Soup and the broth was kind of bland (so also not worth the price, in our opinion). I enjoy Chinese food very much. On Sunday, I went to SF Market for groceries and had my first lunch at the new Manna with my family. I had homemade dumplings, and my wife and kid had beef noodle soup. Unlike other Chinese restaurants, it didn't have that distinctive spice smell, and the homemade beef broth in particular had a really good flavor that you can't get anywhere else. We decided to try this place out at the food court, since they've just opened, and it was surprisingly good. The noodles for both dishes were really good, chewy and bouncy. The beef was very tender, but wish the broth was a little more flavorful (though the chili oil they give you is really good, so I definitely recommend getting spicy). The portion was big for the jajangmyeon and it was very flavorful, but we wish it came with some pickled vegetables. The dumplings were surprisingly good, especially with the vinegar, hands down our favorite dish. read more

They should serve what is ordered...i ordered shrimp chow fun and instead they gave me shrimp chow mein...im thinking they know they made mistake or they ran out of chow fun noodles but they didnt think i would know the difference. So they made 3 mistake....1 the cook cooked the dish wi r h the wrong ingredient...2 the host knowingly served the wrong dish thinking i wouldnt know and 3rd though it was still tasty it was the wrong dish and i was not satisfied and iritated that they would try to pass their incorrect order....no i will not go here again....just because of their incompentence. First time at the SF market food court. Chose to try Manna and ordered the jjamppong. Unfortunately, was disappointed is the lack of flavor and quality of ingredients for the price.
