Great Pho in a pinch! Location/Vibe: Clean old school location that reminded me of the places I use to visit when I was younger. They had plentiful seating and all the tables are spaced well apart. Parking lot is a bit small but is shares a wider lot with a bunch of other businesses Service: Service was friendly and quick. Staff checked on us quite a bit which was nice. Food: Ordered Pho but they have limited selection choices. The nice thing though is that they allowed me to substitute items on my order. Unfortunately, a deeply disappointing experience that felt more like a disorganized fast-food place... The quality was significantly below average. I ordered the Pho Tai, but the meat arrived pre-cooked, shredded, and low grade. Even worse, the rice noodles came in a solid, blocky cube that I had to manually pry apart. The Banh Mi was equally poor--the bread was incredibly hard/stale, and the meat was sliced far too thick with large chunks of unchewable fat. The service was non-existent. I had to specifically ask for basics like chopsticks and sauces just to begin my meal. I got a single paper napkin. The staff seemed entirely uninterested. I thanked my server on three separate occasions and never once received a "you're welcome" or even a nod. No one ever checked on the table during the meal to see if I needed anything. After finishing, I waited over 10 minutes for a check that never arrived. I eventually had to walk up to the counter just to pay so I could leave. At that point I saved $6 since self-service isn't tip-worthy... I left feeling confused as to whether this was supposed to be a sit-down restaurant or a self-service cafe. Save your money and head to a spot that actually understands Vietnamese cuisine and basic customer service. read more

Today, I checked out Pho Fresh for the first time after hearing so many great things about the food. I arrived and I wasn't greeted, however my friend was already seated at a table, so I walked right on over. She had already ordered, so I was looking over the menu to see what I wanted. When the waitress came to take my order she wasn't very personable at all. I ordered the vegan calamari, seafood egg noodle soup and a Thai Tea. The waitress did bring me a glass of water as well. The prices are pretty good considering the amount of food you get and the food is actually really delicious! The inside is spacious with plenty of seating. Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the mediocre service we received from the waitress. While we were still eating she came and took the sauces from our table, but didn't remove them from the other tables, which I thought was odd as though it was her way of telling us to leave. She then came to our table with the check, so I asked to boxes to pack my food. She took out payment at table. She then told customers at a table they are closed and sent them on their way. Once we paid I told my friend let's go before we get kicked out! Lol I'm hoping I came on an off day. I'll come back again I just hope the service with be better. You have a lot of options for good Pho in the Rancho area but I keep coming back to Pho Fresh. They have great food and plenty on the menu besides their amazing Pho bowls. I keep saying I'm going to try something new on their menu but I keep going back for the Pho. The inside is clean and nicely decorated. They have plenty of seating for those busy days. We started off with some hot saki and enjoyed the baked mushrooms seasoned in garlic, lemongrass, cilantro, green onions, topped w/ Chef's special sauce. You can't go wrong with the Spicy Beef Rib Stew. Combination of beef stew & spicy lemongrass seasoning with slow cooked ribs, stewed beef & tendon chunks & carrots. Tried this spot for the first time, saw it on social media. The place was clean with a warm vibe. Ordered the Crazy Pho King Pho, Grilled Chicken Banh Mi, Lemongrass Shrimp Salad, Spicy Basil Noodles, and Strawberry Peach Tea. The banh mi and basil noodles were the highlights, fresh and flavorful. The noodles weren't very spicy despite the name, but still tasty. The pho lacked flavor even when adding all the ingredients in, the shrimp salad was ok, and the tea tasted more floral than fruity--not quite what I expected. Staff were friendly, though our server took our menus before we finished ordering, so we had to speak up. Overall: 3.9/5. Some misses, but good to try new Vietnamese restaurants. read more

I believe the owners have changed and some of the more specialty dishes like ox tail noodle soup and seared scallops are gone, but the rest of the menu is still a great hit! Their service is also faster with slightly trimmed menu. If you still want those specialty dishes, you might need to go to the new location in Elk Grove opened by John and Tracy, the OG. I spent seventy dollars at this restaurant for lunch today.And they gave me the worst food i've ever eaten in my entire life period the tofu tasted like was old and stale out of the fridge, all of the food that my friend and I ordered was completely unedible, which was a shame because we've ordered from them. Many times before I called them to see if they could make it right. And they did not want to make it right. I asked for the manager the gentleman on the phone told me they don't know when the manager will be in or what the manager's schedule is. And that if I had an issue, I could take it up with doordash, I tried taking it up with doordash.They offered me a twelve dollar refund, which was unacceptable.And so now i'm taking it to social media to let everybody know not to do business with this.Absolutely terrible restaurant and I will be taking this up with my bank read more

We had the crispy carmelized tofu bánh mì, savory mock chickn chow mein, fresh tofu spring rolls (gluten-free), flavorful tofu chow fun (requested to be made gf), comforting tofu vegetable phở, and a refreshing Thai iced tea with oatmilk. I have been coming for Pho Fresh since I moved to the Greater Sacramento area. All of the wait staff and services are always friendly and attentive. The restaurant name is very fitting because everything is FRESH! They also have an EXTENSIVE vegan menu. The last time I went to eat here, I had the Sesame Chicken Roll and Pork Belly Banh Mi. Everything was super flavorful and the banh mi came with a side of their phó broth, which was delicious. I was so excited for food, I forgot to take a picture of the banh mi. First time eating here and it was delicious! My fiancé picked up our order and it was hot and ready to go right on time. I got beef pho and shrimp rice paper rolls and he got veggie pho. I'm from San Jose/Oakland so good Pho is commonplace out there. In this new hood of ours, we're still on the hunt. Happy to say this spot hit the mark quite nicely. The portions are very generous for the prices; we didn't finish anything other than the fried calamari and got a second meal out of the leftovers. Don't think the simplicity of my Pho (with meatballs) is too plain because that's exactly how I like it. True good Pho shines through the broth and whatever ingredients pleases your palate. We got the egg rolls deluxe, chicken breast spring rolls, spicy beef rib stew, and crazy pho king pho. The stew and pho lacked favor/depth.
