Where are the pineapple, onions, garlic and flavor?

Horribly terrible...My "Pineapple Fried Rice" was shocking. (see picture) It was basically white rice stir fried in oil with cubed Chinese sausage, shrimp and frozen peas and carrots. Absolutely NO pineapple, no garlic, no onions, no seasoning of any type (not even salt, fish sauce, or soy sauce). I have never in my entire life encountered such awful "fried rice". How are they still in business?

I came here recently because I wanted to not have to cook over the weekend (lol). I'd been here before, but wanted to try some new things. After a couple minutes of looking at the menu, I made a decision, and when I turned around there were suddenly 5 people in line! Dang it! I waited for a few minutes and started laughing because I wanted to order the Garlic Chicken dish, and 3 of the 5 people in front of me ordered it. That'll make it easier for the cook! I placed my order and waited. It only took about 5-10 minutes! Crazy fast! The gentleman running the register was very friendly, gave me some extra sauces and sent me on my way. The food was excellent! I lived off of the spread I bought for the next few days, and it was a treat every time. I'm definitely planning on coming back again... there's still so much good food to try! If you're looking for a super conveniently located food cart and have a hankering for Thai, come to Thai Garden! You won't be disappointed!!

    Basil fried rice goodness!

This cart has won me over. I'm very glad the food carts have been doing well on this side of the hood. This mom and pop food cart cook the food fresh and the affordability is amazing. Even on a rainy day, I can sit in the covered patio and enjoy big ass order of basil fried rice in peace. They put the right amount of hot peppers in my dish to give me that sweat but still taste the rest of the food. I think I managed to eat 75% before throwing in the towel. For $6, my happy belly thanked me for the delicious meal. I have been here on a Sunday during the day so there is some activity at this cart pod. I got to sample some of their "ninja wings" that they also own across the cart pod. I will definitely make it there someday. The service is friendly and sociable. I felt very welcomed when I arrived. I will continue to come back if I ever want my Thai fried rice fix!

    Cute! 5 stars for cuteness!

ROAD TRIP SUMMER 2016 According to my $ search on Yelp, there were food trucks 7 minutes away from our hotel. Ten of us walked there, and even though only 4 or 5 trucks were open, we all found something good to eat! The Thai place was the cutest so I ordered dinner there. Besides, I was craving something a little healthy since I've been eating a lot of junk food during the 10-hour drive. For $12, I was happy with my meal. The egg rolls were bland and greasy, but the sweet sauce made it better. The Mussaman Curry was more than enough for two adults and one toddler, but we wish there were more chicken....at least it came with white rice. I enjoyed the thai ice tea very much so my niece ordered one too. Woo hoo! I'm ready for the next adventure!

Where is the menu? Truly baffled at how I order from a cart with no menu...

I don't think they have it online, but if you look at the menu photos on yelp, they have anything on there. They are awesome. Just call them and ask.

Do they still only take cash?

    nope, they take cards

Happy Valley Food Carts yeah, I might be a little biased... I live here. And to the three of you…read moretrying to triangulate my exact location based on this review relax, it's not that serious. Let's get into it. Right off I-205 and just a short cruise up into Happy Valley, this spot feels like the food cart scene finally put on a clean shirt and got its life together. It's modern, it's polished, and it sits in a neighborhood where you don't feel like you need to keep your head on a swivel. No chaos, no nonsense just good eats and a relaxed vibe. What makes this place stand out? Options. A ridiculous amount of them. This isn't a "hope everyone agrees on tacos" situation. This is a "you get what you want, I get what I want, and we all win" kind of place. I've officially made it my mission few days left to try as many carts as humanly possible. Call it a food tour, call it a personal challenge, call it reckless ambition... I'm doing it anyway. We kicked things off at K-Pop Korean Hawaiian BBQ-because when you roll with a buddy from Hawaii, that's basically law. And let me tell you, it delivers. Bold flavors, solid portions, and that perfect fusion vibe that just works. Honestly, it set the bar high and that's saying something, because every cart here seems to bring their A-game. The setup is dialed in too. Covered seating for those rainy Oregon days, indoor space when winter decides to show up with attitude, and open-air areas when you want to sip a little wine or knock back a cold brew like a civilized adult. Surrounded by trees and mountain views, it almost tricks you into thinking you planned something outdoorsy... when really, you just came to eat. And here's the kicker it's clean. Like, noticeably clean. The carts look new, the area is well kept, and the whole place feels intentional. Not slapped together. Not gritty. This is food carting with standards. If you're local, you already know. If you're passing through, put this at the top of your list. And if you're doing a full-on food truck tour? Start here. Set the tone right. Because trust me after this, when you head back downtown and start dodging zombies and chaos... you'll miss this place real quick.

Love me some Happy Valley Station!…read more This is like the upscale farmers market of food carts- park your car, enjoy the landscaping, and check it all out. Dog friendly, Kid friendly, 100-year old friendly. Lots of clean and tidy indoor and outdoor cafeteria-style seating to choose from. Carts are covered from the rain, but outside. Beer and Espresso served and paid for inside. Restrooms are accessible and inside. Carts will give you a buzzer to notify you when the order is ready, so you can go walk around or find a seat while you wait. It was very busy this particular day, but no problem, all the carts seemed to be prepared for that! Just a lot of friendly faces who understood we needed to drool over all the menus before arriving somewhere. We landed on Premier Japanese Hibachi and loved all the flavor. Some of the freshest shrimp and yakisoba I have ever had. We also had the grilled shrimp and steak. TIP: don't forget to ask how you want your steak because it is made to order! The sauces on the side were perfect for dipping and sharing. Unfortunately, the portions did feel small for $18 a plate. Also, how to order water with your meal was confusing- another worker said just go inside. Eventually I saw signs that water is free with purchase or $1, but you would think it would be obvious. Overall, Premier Japanese Hibachi and everything else was a hit, 10/10, TY!

The woman who took my order was really nice, but I don't think she should have been taking orders. Even with me being bilingual and her daughter helping translate, she had a hard time understanding what I wanted, even though I was reading it directly from their menu. The wait time was short. Everything was fresh. The pupusa dough, the veggies, the toppings-- I loved everything except the chicken, which tasted like it had been boiled or canned at some point. But that's my fault for ordering chicken from a Latino food cart, knowing they sometimes take these chicken shortcuts. The salsa and queso fresco were both bomb. 5 stars on both of those. The portion size was a decent value for the price. It was too much food for me to eat in just one sitting. If I came back again, I would order literally any meat other than chicken. I might even ask how it's cooked first, just to be sure. Overall I thought it was pretty good, and I would definitely come back again. (I just wouldn't get the chicken.)

With a stage, lighting and sound capabilities, the venue is prime for concerts and performance art. There is a really diverse collection of international flavors represented among the food vendors, most going beyond the typical taco and ramen fare found in the pods and halls around the city. Visitors can choose between African, Mediterranean, Cuban, Vegan Japanese, Oaxacan and more. In addition, there appears to be a central bar offering stool seating and alcoholic beverages. However, it wasn't open during my Sunday evening visit. With parking in the Goat Blocks, Grand Central and surface streets in the vicinity, there are several options available. But I'd really love to see some new parking structures or lots opened in this part of town. It's exciting to see a new food hall open East of the river, even if they do have some minor wrinkles to iron out. The space would benefit from some better signage, seating, and perhaps a second entry/exit point. Keep your jacket on, it can get chilly during the winter months. Nothing should prevent you from exploring Morrison Market yourself!
