I usually order from the Thai place on Stark but they weren't answering their phone. I found this place instead and I was able to order from them on their website which is really convenient. I was able to customize what I wanted and it was easy to pay and add a tip. I was given an estimated time and the food was actually ready at the time I was given. I wanted to try their pad Thai woo sen with the glass noodles and it was really good, the sauce was tasty and the noodles were soft and tender. I got spice level 2 and it was kind of spicy but still very good. I usually love spicy foods so I'm glad I stayed with level 2, level 3 might have been too much for me . The chicken was a little chewy but that was ok. We also got the chicken satay and it was very juicy. My son got the Pad ka pao and he liked it a lot. I was really happy at trying this other variation of pad Thai noodles and it was delicious. We will definitely be coming back soon. read more

I try to support local businesses and ordered from Siam Grill through Ubereats. I've gotta say, this was the worst Thai food I've had in Portland. The salad rolls were ok. But the Larb had bits of ground bone in it, the pad see ew was soupy and didn't have much flavor and the teriyaki chicken yakisoba was also soggy and didn't have any teriyaki flavor to it. Im not hard to please, especially if the food tastes like it's from the general region (Thai/Japan)...but this one was rough. We ended up throwing away two of the dishes because we just couldn't eat them. Maybe we just didn't order dishes they specialized in? Idk. read more

This little waitress lady is so sweet. We got pineapple fried rice #3 spicy and the spicy fried rice with beef #4 spicy. It was amazing. The cashews from the pineapple fried rice just melts in your mouth and there was definitely no rice left on the beef fried rice. Great service! Thank you guys!! Amazing food! Nestled in a little shopping center - don't be fooled! Great place for Thai. The first thing to impress us was the cup of hot Thai tea complimentary, that was refilled during our visit. Warms the tummy and soul :-) We had mango curry, peanut noodles, and the Thom kha soup. All were amazing - but that mango curry was exceptional!! The owners were attentive with their service and they made sure we had plenty of water and their delicious hot tea. I was given a hot tea to go on the house! Great little Thai spot! We've been going here for years, mostly to-go, as the inside is a little small, and we live real close by. Very consistent food and they have a larger menu than some other places, and gems like their BBQ chicken with sticky rice is a real treat. And when they say spicy, they mean it, which is great! But, can order no or medium too, obviously. Totally Thai hot, though. Another real stunner is their papaya salad, fresh, sour, sweet and fish sauce heavy, yum! Big portions here too, so another plus, and no lack in flavor or quality. Prices are what I would call fair, I don't think anything, in these times, is over-priced. Apps (except a combo), are under 10$ and mains between 10$ (smaller soup) and 18$ on the high end for seafood or duck. Sometimes, especially on a first order, they will include a little extra gift in your order, two (more as it seems it's per dish ordered, so one per person) nice and hot little spring rolls for free! My work day allowed for an early lunch, Siam grill was open and surprisingly fast. Placed my order, stepped out to my van for 5-10 min and the host brought my food out to me!! For takeout, service doesn't get better than that. While doing emails for 15-20 min, I smelled that pang nang (Sp) and eventually dug in. Not as "red" or tart as most I've fallen in love with, this curry was delicate and a beautiful creamy texture. I would prefer no nuts on top, but they are easy to pick around....the flavor is appreciated. Not sure what spice is in the root flavor of pang nang, but they highlighted it well here. I used to love this place, but ambiance and food has changed quite a bit. Service has always been fantastic, I must say this first of all. Unfortunately, thai food in this establishment has been subpar these days. Pad Thai was very dry and un-flavorful, Penang curry was overly sweet and bland, and shrimp salad rolls full of shredded iceberg lettuce with very little else. Lastly, very pricey for such a disappointing meal. Hopefully things will improve in the future, I really want to give this place another chance. read more

This is a great little hole in the wall place in NE Portland, located in a little strip next to an insurance company and a Plaid Pantry. This review is about two years late. My husband and I have been ordering takeout from Siam Grill since we first moved to the area and it immediately became our favorite local restaurant. Not only is the food absolutely delicious-- the prices are fair and the people are. We always see the same guy there, I believe he might be the owner, and he's always providing us with the kindest service. We've enjoyed everything we've ordered here (and we've tried a lot of it!), but our favorites are the Khao Soy, Thai BBQ Chicken, Pad See Ew, and Pad Thai. read more

The food was really yummy--better than most Thai food I've had in the past. I can't praise the flavor enough as well as how tender the meat and vegetables were (not chewy or tough at all). However, a few hours after I ate, I had the worst heartburn I've experienced in a long time. Apparently "mild" to them means slightly spicy and my stomach isn't used to spiciness at all. Many of the Thai food restaurants I've tried consider "mild" to be no spice, so if you're like me and are sensitive to spiciness be prepared for a relatively small amount of spice in the mild dishes. read more

I had the pad woon sen noodles with shrimp and Puss Face had Pad Thai with chicken. We shared shrimp spring rolls and egg rolls. They either give you egg rolls (small) with order or we got those by accident. Lastly we had a seafood Tom Yum soup. It was ok; I won't order again. Everything was rich with flavor. The noodles were perfectly cooked. The protein amounts were substantial and everything came as a large portion. It was $55 for two big eaters.
