I'm so glad we got a place in Cottonwood so I don't always have to wait till the next trip to the valley for Indian food! I need to come back again but I love that the spice level was customizable online as I am a big weeny! I went with the staples to try first and I was very satisfied and will be back! FYI: this restaurant shares the building with 2 other businesses so I don't advise you walk to the right and end up chatting with AA like I did. Restaurant is on the left third of the building! I think it's enough parking despite it being minimal.

    Vegetable pakora. Yummy! Good value.

The fresh, delicious food more than makes up for the tiny dining area and un-fancy decor. The covered patio is much more spacious and appealing...when weather permits. The only thing that would make it better are combo plates (not offered by enough Indian restaurants). Solo diners aren't likely to order multiple entrees to enjoy the variety.

    Vegetable pakora with chutneys

The food was ok - vegetable pakora was a little dry and lacking vegetables. The tamarind chutney was good but the mint chutney was a lot different than I have ever had and personally I didn't enjoy it. The curry was spicy but felt a little simple - not a lot of spices. The best thing was definitely the service though. Everyone was very kind, helpful, and polite. We enjoyed the family. The outdoor seating was very nice too.

    Appetizer combo tasting.

The food has been amazing both times we've eaten here. The owner embodies the great American immigrant story--he came to the U.S. with just $62 in his pocket, worked across the Southwest for six years to save enough to bring his family here, and even served as a translator supporting our troops in Afghanistan. That alone is reason enough to support this restaurant. Combine that with the incredible food, and it's a must-try!

We also had the samosas, which tasted homemade and were equally delicious. FABULOUS! We were visiting Williams on vacation and, as we usually do, searched for a local spot on Yelp. When we arrived, we were a bit unsure at first, as the exterior and signage were unexpected, but we decided to go in and are so glad we did for the food alone. Inside, there was a large dining area with plenty of seating. It seemed like there may have been a different service style than what we are used to, as we were not greeted right away and ended up seating ourselves, getting our own cups and silverware, and flagging someone down to place our order. We weren't quite sure how the process worked, which made the experience feel a little awkward and unclear. That said, the food truly stood out and made a lasting impression. We shared our appreciation when we paid and left very grateful. With a bit more clarity around the service experience, this place would be an absolute standout. Our compliments to the chef, truly outstanding food preparation.

Stopped through this little town on our way out of Grand Canyon. Having eaten a lot of American and Mexican food in the past few days, Indian seemed like a welcome change. The reviews were very good but I was skeptical about the authenticity of an Indian restaurant in a small town like this. This place is legit! We had a Veggie Samosa, Chicken Curry, and Aloo Gobi. All had excellent flavors and nice spice level. The chicken was tender and the sauces were so delicious that we scraped up every last bit to eat with the basmati rice. Will definitely be back next time we're in town!

Ok so I was so excited to go here. There is something really comforting about a tamale done right!…read moreThe glowing reviews and pictures seemed promising. The restaurant itself has a lot of character, it full of textures and colors, had a cute little fountain outside. It just feels homey and welcoming. The menu...is hella pricey for a tamale. I mean even with inflation these days I could get a tamale at most spots where I live for like half the price. I just told myself it's Sedona just except it lol so I went wild and got their extra special tamale with lots of topping to make it a more complete meal. I chose the chicken mole for my filling. I also got their dairy free horchata. First thing the horchata was delicious! Creamy, great texture, not to sweet, seasoned just right. Extra points for being dairy free as milk is not my bodies friend. The tamale however was a major let down. I was so close to just sending it back, but was on a time crunch and starving. The masa was so salty. The mole sauce was barely existent and had no complexity or flavor really. I didn't taste the chocolate or the Chile . Just blah. The toppings and horchata helped make it possible to consume despite the saltiness. So overpriced salty tamale gets 2 stars, ambiance 5, and horchata 5, which is why this place gets a three stars overall. I wanted to love this spot so bad, and maybe it was a bad day, or the wrong thing to get...but their name is literally tamaliza. Their tamale should have rocked my world.

Service was amazing too - attentive, friendly & joyous. Menu is innovative and while we didn't vibe with the taste of every item we tried, we enjoyed how healthy and gut friendly the food was. The chocolates were good too but a tad overpriced imho. And omg, the seating in this restaurant is something else... there's PLENTY of inside and outdoor seating, incl their magical garden area.

Given that the burrito has two ingredients as of yesterday (menu says it has salsa, but upon ordering you're offered an up sell to pay extra for salsa or avocado), I was disappointed it didn't err on the side of extra chickpea chorizo. It was however seasoned incredibly well, sweet potatoes included. If you want a more quiet patio experience, then I would opt for the dog-friendly patio in the front as opposed to the one through the restaurant toward the back. There wasn't anyone there when I came at open.
