I ordered it medium spicy, but it wasn't spicy at all for me. I chose the beef fried rice, and while the flavor was great, the beef was a bit overcooked and slightly tough to chew. The seafood soup was served hot and definitely warming, which I really liked. However, the seafood portion was a bit limited for the price -- it had about three mussels, two shrimp, plus some squid strips and imitation crab. The restaurant was very busy during our visit, and there were only three servers handling everything -- taking orders, serving food, and working the front. Our server Eden was super nice and sweet but the rest of the employees didn't even interact with us. I had papaya salad that had too much watter in it, and tasted like it was pickled salad, and it only had couple pieces of peanuts. I asked for peanut sauce and they charged me 2 $?! Went to Pato Thai restaurant last night Sunday evening. It was not a good experience. The visit was kinda close to closing time, the restaurant had quite a few tables and customers. My main complaint was that two waitresses were sweeping and mopping the floors when there was at least five occupied tables eating and drinking. I was appalled that it was clear that the staff was more concerned about making a quick exit after closing than providing a relaxing environment for the customers. I never saw such a thing ever before sweeping and mopping the floors while customers were eating. I will never return and neither will my friends. It was a very bad experience. When I was in college over 10 years ago, this was the place to be. It appears that it hasn't changed, but rather moved locations. The red curry had a good flavor and a good amount of seafood. It wasn't too spicy for me, but did have a kick. The curry was on the liquid side. It comes with white rice. The pad Thai flavor was pretty good, but the noodles were on the soggy side. I liked the large amount of veggies on top. It also had a good amount of seafood in it. The fish was my fave. Shared the tom yum soup with shrimp, medium spicy and they delivered, just wished it had cilantro and green onions. I had basil Thai chicken for main dish and it was perfectly spicy with lots of bamboo shoots, not the same from what I'm used to but the dish was very good. BF had the cashew shrimp, he enjoyed it but not enough shrimps in my opinion, probably 8 pieces. Prices were similar to east coast pricing, adequate portions. Pato Thai Cuisine... Who knew Thai food could be so good out in the middle of nowhere? Lol just kidding. We drove over hour and a half from the Grand Canyon as I was craving Thai food for my birthday. This place is located in Downtown Flagstaff. We ordered the Potato Shrimp appetizers, which were basically fried shrimp with potato spirals surrounding it. It was quite unique and tasty, dipped in sweet and sour sauce. We also tried the Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp, which stated off very hot on an extremely cold and windy day. However, the coals disintegrated and the soup became cold quickly so we did not finish the pot. The star of the show was the Tsunami Fried Rice, with a combination of seafood items such as mussels, fried fish, squid, imitation crab, and shrimp stir fried with bell peppers and onions. It was incredibly flavorful, and probably the BEST FRIED RICE I'VE EVER HAD, which means something as I have tried many Thai fried rice restaurants, even in Thailand. I would definitely come back here to eat the Tsunami Fried Rice again, as well as the Potato Shrimp, and try some of their other dishes like Kai Kua or their Pad Thai and salads when I am in the area. The customer service was good, and the food came out extremely fast like when you go to the Vietnamese restaurants lol. The portion sizes are large, the menu itself is huge, and you can't go wrong. The worst thing about this place is that I always leave too full, because I want some chicken satay appetizer with my entree. Everything is well seasoned, and if you say spicy, it'll be spicy. Service is generally good and the space itself is cute. Parking downtown is what it is. They have a lot of beverage options (adult and kid friendly). I can't think of something bad to say. Thin pieces of chicken breast. Very very tasty. Service could be better. When we arrived we were seated promptly. We waited about ten minutes and no one came to the table. I went to the host stand and asked about our server. The hostess got took our order and we were served our food promptly. We had to wait a while for our bill too. Since this is the week between Christmas and New Year's and Flagstaff is a tourist town it could be that they were much busier than normal (though the restaurant wasn't full). I'd go back.
