Stopped in for a quick lunch before a hike. From the menu, it leans pretty Americanized, but I gave it a shot anyway. Mongolian beef - tender, lightly crisp from a quick fry, and very flavorful. Not spicy at all, more on the mild side, but still really good. Eggplant in garlic sauce - solid dish. Perfectly cooked, soft and tender with a rich garlicky sauce. Everything comes with your choice of white or brown rice. Overall, a solid spot for a quick meal. Only miss was the drink. The margarita was not good, I'd skip the alcohol here. read more

We arrived in Sedona hungry and craving Asian food, and this was one of the few Asian restaurants in the area. I was a little hesitant at first, but the food ended up being surprisingly good. The shrimp fried rice was flavorful and came with big pieces of lightly battered shrimp. The crispy rice noodles were also delicious, loaded with veggies and served on a sizzling hot plate that kept everything warm, which was a nice touch. The kung pao beef was my favorite; the beef was tender, the vegetables were fresh, and the sauce had great flavor. Portions were large, prices were reasonable, and the customer service was great from start to finish. I actually wanted to stop by again before leaving Sedona, but it just didn't fit into the itinerary. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Sedona. read more

They have a sushi bar in here. Waiter was very nice. Water tasted good. All of our food dishes and both sushi rolls were delicious. The sushi felt like it melted in my mouth. Pretty bad last night orange's chicken was rubbery family all got the chow mein. No one finished their plates. Everyone noted. It was very plain tasting, and that the meat was rubbery. I enjoyed the sizzling tofu, which was indeed sizzling hot (temperature, not spice). The server brought it next to the table and allowed the sizzling to cease before placing it on the table, which was appreciated. I asked for this dish to be made spicy, and they added a little spice, which seemed stronger aromatically than when actually eating it. The sauce is flavorful and the meal consists mostly of tofu and water chestnuts, with a few pieces of broccoli and pea pods. The server was attentive and helpful. The ambiance is OK, and typical of a local establishment. Parking is competitive with very few dedicated spots (as it is everywhere in Sedona), and we narrowly grabbed a spot in the full Whole Foods parking lot next door. The orange chicken was very disappointing. It seemed like it was sweet and sour chicken that was a past order that they put orange glaze on. The texture was rubbery. The tofu dish was good - but something we won't seek out again. Overall definitely interested in coming back for other sushi. The ambiance was typical Chinese restaurant with more upscale decor. We just did take-out, so I can't really speak to much of the inside or staff. The place seemed busy for a Tuesday night, though. There were two staff at the front desk taking orders, seating people, and assisting customers with paying their bill. Dishes we ordered that were exceptional: Green Beans, Snow White chicken. This place is next to Whole Foods, behind an Italian restaurant. Once we discovered the front of the restaurant, I knew we were in for a treat because of the authentic look outside. We were greeted at the door by a very polite staff. This place was so beautiful inside see attached photos. We could tell the owners really take pride. The ambiance was amazing. Our waiter Jason was very knowledgeable about the menu, and made excellent suggestions. He brought out the salads and soup and they were beautiful. The portion size's were We're huge and stunning. I was very hopeful when perusing the menu to order take-out here. I walked in on a not-too-busy Saturday evening and ordered the spicy wontons and fried noodles with gravy. I assumed with the high prices, the noodles would be something at least similar to a pan fried noodle. I even asked the hostess to confirm that it was a pan fried noodle before ordering. What I found was a small serving of deep fried lo mein noodle with a ton of bland gravy. The ingredients within the gravy was the only good thing about the meal. For close to $20, I honestly felt cheated because you could get the authentic versions for half the price in most Chinatowns. The spicy wonton appetizer looked very promising with since they wontons were swimming in a deep red oil. Unfortunately the center of the wontons were still cold and there was no spice/heat to the sauce at all. It was all bark and no bite, and again, I couldn't help but feel cheated. read more

We are local and have dined here and had take out many times. We have had lunch here on Christmas almost every year since they opened. The service Chrismas day was very good and the young lady was helpful and delightful inspite of the fact that the restaurant was slammed, crazy busy. So for service rate it 4.5. The food is a failure on multiple levels and rate it a weak 3 They only have a very limited holiday menue. Not great choices. We were 4 people and ordered 4 mains. On the good side the food was plentiful. There was no presentation, just a lot of food thrown on a plate. The eggplant with garlic was the only tasty dish. The beef with broccoli had no taste, no typical seasoning, not even salt and not enough sauce to fill a teaspoon. The orange chicken was totally flat, not even warm, and other than a slight glaze on the tasteless nuggets there was no sauce to spoon on it. The moo shu shrimp, again, had zero taste other then nice shrimps, and they left off the hoisin sauce. Whoever is cooking there now clearly never had good Chinese food, never heard of garlic, ginger, scallions, soy, sesame oil or oyster sauce and spices (Cantonese) or Sichuan peppercorn, dried chilies, star anise, cloves, fennel (Sichuan). Since Jerry is nolonger overseeing things and his parents retired Szechuan has gone down hill. read more
