4. Pad Kee Mao Noodles

So freaking good!! Hit the spot just right! Picked up some Pad Kee Mao (pictured) and salad rolls, both of which were delicious!!! Especially the noodles. The owner, I assume, was very kind. The wait was only about 5 mins, amazing pricing too. Def will come again as it's like 4 mins from my work and a perfect place to grab food on break.

Loved this spot! Pad Thai was cooked incredibly well. Sauce super flavorful and e vegetables all cooked perfectly. Only thing I would do differently is order it spicier, the medium had absent spice. Salad rolls super flavorful as well, really enjoyed their peanut sauce.

Chicken pod Thai, egg rolls, salad rolls, extra peanut sauce

Nice mom and pop place turning out great Thai food to go. I got the chicken pod Thai, $13, egg rolls, $3, and they gave me two salad rolls for free! My pad Thai is very good, best ever? No, but still really good especially considering the price. I ordered my pad Thai 3 star spicy and it was exactly what I would consider 3 star spicy. Egg rolls were good and the the salad roll was fresh and tasty. Portion size is big, enough to comfortably feed one adult and one child. Excellent value and super fast service.

This is yet another to-go (mostly) only spot in ye olde Clackamas. I don't know why the area has so many spots of this style-but I'm not questioning it much as they trend towards awesome flavor wise, an this joint is no exception. They have their own surface lot right in front which even though it's shared with two other businesses -a nail salon and a tattoo shop-always seems to have spots open right in front, which is handy. While this is a to-go only kinda joint with no inside seating, there are two picnic tables right in front of the doors. Ambiance is the parking lot and surrounding greenery(nicer then you might think-they are right in front of a massive tree with some small landscaping) and is really only remotely a good idea in the summer. As you might expect(or hope for anyway) the focus is entirely on the food. The kitchen is visible (just) from the pay/order/everything counter and the owner/staff run a tight high performing team. Orders come out quick, hot and utterly delicious. They pay attention to small things-orders come pre packed with plates, napkins, cutlery and sachets of seasoning without being asked first, and when they ask for your spice scale they follow it. We typically have one order with opposite spice levels, and takeout thai food with one order of spice level 0 and the other order set for magna inferno has left us with very mixed results. Not here. Our confusing custom order was impeccably perfectly done. In short the food is awesome. You'll like it. Service was interesting. Were able to place the phone order no problem. Guy accurately took down all the stupid details/questions-no broccoli, extra spice, side of hot garlic oil, oh and by the way are the noodles vegan, do you have pineapple rice etc. Also took time to cared fully repeat things back to me. When asking for our names-the final step in the process I gave my spouses name (six times actually. Spelled it three times) and got hung up on. Probably-or at least not provably-did not have anything to do with us being a mixed race couple. Didn't call back because by that time we were slightly less then fifteen minutes away. As luck would have it our order was ready when we got there-but that same guy was clearly not having the best day which was a mite jarring. Nothing to rant about yet it was definitely something disconcerting. At the end of the day it's a very viable option for the area. I'd go back for sure.

One of the best Thai restaurants in the area hands down! We order pad Thai from here almost every week. Friendly staff. Highly recommend!

There were many large seating area available. One main cedar table was a big attraction. There is a fireplace with a table by it We got a table. I ordered a Borgona, fruit puree juices mix with Sprite. Never had one, but sounded really good. It came and it was delicious and fruity for a mocktail. We ordered a shrimp ceviche and octopus skewers to start out with. The Shrimp Ceviche was very delicious and it was something that I was very happy to share it with my friends. It was a big portion of shrimp cocktail with salsa on the bottom and these large sized blue chips. It was so good that we ate it quickly. Octopus skewers was a tad charred. Yet very delicious especially if you eat it with the pineapple together. Brings out the flavor of the pineapples quite well. We ordered the Pork Belly Tacos and Mole Shrimp Tacos which came in 3. I absolutely loved street tacos filled with good fresh ingredients. And both of these hot the spot. The pork belly was an absolute great flavor of the pork belly. The Shrimp was delicious. Cook perfectly and easy to devour quickly. DeFuego Nachos had Jalapenos. But wasn't listed. The nachos were delicious and it was quickly devoured. Wings came in 4 wings with garlic parmesan with carrots and celery and ranch on the platter. Heavily garlic on the wings yet very delicious. Half wedge salad was a surprise how much there is in the salad. A lot of fresh veggies there with cherry tomatoes and sliced radishes in it. I had a absolutely fun experience celebrating my birthday here. DeFuego had Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm, seven days out of the week. Seems the Happy Hour here is very popular. You have 21 appetizers to choose from on the Happy Hour Menu. There are Mocktails, and any drinks you want available. Definitely will come back again.

Shoot. Last night I took my boyfriend here to celebrate a special event & we left so disappointed!…read moreWe got there at 7:15 & we were stuck there for over 2 hours! I ordered 2 things and both came out wrong. Our waitress spoke very loudly and we could hear her having long personal conversations with people a couple tables away from us for 10+ minutes at a time, several times. While we waited for her, we ran out of water a few times and I had to ask for more. It was over an hour before our order was even taken. We did flag her down to order an appetizer, brussel sprouts with cheese on the side due to a dairy allergy, but... the sprouts came out with cheese on them. They corrected this fairly promptly, but then we sat for another 45 minutes before our order was actually taken. I ordered a steak as "somewhere between medium & medium well" and she correctly repeated my order back to me "medium/medium well." When the steak came out, it was WELL well done. Like, burnt. I wanted to send it back, but I didn't want to deal with the embarrassment or have to wait even longer for food. We were about an hour & 45 minutes into dinner by the time we got our food. I was so disappointed! I also wanted to get dessert to celebrate the occasion but the service was SO slow that we had to cancel our after-dinner plans. We ordered it anyway & requested the check promptly, giving up on our plans for the rest of the evening. We were only a party of 2, we arrived early for our reservation, & we watched several larger parties come and go while we waited for our order to even be taken. It was a Wednesday night and not overly busy, there were several empty tables, so I'm not sure what the hold up was. We were also seated at an odd table next to the kitchen with a small divider between us and the staff. It was noisy and I even heard 2 staff members exchange a joke about how someone else had left & said they'd never come back. They laughed about it. I wish I had the guts those people had to get up & leave! I've never once left less than a 20% tip and felt immense guilt not tipping well, but after experiencing the poor service then also hearing the staff blatantly acknowledge it & not care.... I was appalled. The Hilton bought the hotel attached to De Fuego and I'm shocked. This was a Monarch hotel before and I'd assume that the Hilton's standards would be higher but the service and quality here have tanked hopelessly low since the acquisition. I had a similar experience at The Underground before it closed. I've learned my lesson & won't come here for a special occasion again.

I ordered the Dragon Roll and Las Vegas roll. Both were quite tasty. We also ordered the Agedashi Tofu as a starter, a 6 piece of the Oysters, the Salmon Sashimi Flight, and House Tonkotsu Ramen. The oysters were pretty small, but packed with flavor. The Salmon Sashimi tasted very fresh and we loved the assortment of pieces.

Mirakutei occupies the same space that a previous sushi restaurant occupied. If you are familiar…read morewith it, it has the same super upscale, swanky vibe and décor that the previous place had. If you want scenery, Mirakutei is probably unbeatable. When we arrived, the place was completely empty, save for one table. We should have taken this as a warning and left (Clackamas Town Center is ALWAYS crazily busy, and for a fancy restaurant there to be almost empty speaks volumes). Since we chose this place specifically based on the many positive reviews, we figured we'd give it a go. It pains me to write this review, but one star is what Mirakutei earned. The menu is, well, let's just call it "unexpected". I don't know what they're going for, but "pesto" on sushi doesn't seem like a fusion that should exist. We ordered a variety of items, and across the board, they were all terrible. Prices are also REALLY high. The "salmon flight" consisted of four pieces of salmon nigiri, each of a different variety. I don't know what any of them were, but only one of the three had any semblance of flavor, and one was probably the toughest piece of fish I've ever been served. The yellowtail fared slightly better, but it was garnished with what appeared to be off-cuts or scrap that had been chopped to oblivion. This garnish did NOTHING to add to the flavor, texture, or appeal of the nigiri. We also made the mistake of ordering the "Hello Kitty". Don't do this. It is a typical California roll sullied by a pressed patty of, again, what appear to be fish off-cuts that are chopped to oblivion, pressed into a patty shape, overcooked, and draped on top of a cut CA roll with each piece turned on its side. Again, this was just gross. The most egregious foul was the "salmon" that was in one half of one of the rolls. It had spoiled, and literally was a slimy fall-apart mush. There is NO excuse in the world for this, and much shame is due to the chef (or management for forcing the chef to use spoiled items). We pointed this out to our waitress, who was very apologetic, and brought out a complimentary piece of mochi ice cream to us in an impossibly short amount of time. It happened so quickly that it seems to have to be their standard procedure that everybody's at the ready to do ("If a guest calls us out for serving spoiled fish, bring them a piece of mochi ice cream"). We were extremely disappointed, and left with a lot of what we'd ordered uneaten, and both of us feeling queasy. We won't be back.

We did takeout three times in the last six days, and my daughter said the leftover phở still tasted good after two days. That kind of comfort food earns some grace! That said, the overall experience has been inconsistent. They're stingy with limes, even when I specifically asked for extra. If you're a lime lover, be ready to ration. I did enjoy their egg rolls. They made with shredded taro as part of the filling, just like my bà ngoại used to make, and seasoned well. One of the few bright spots on the menu. The combo vermicelli was a letdown: over-grilled shrimp, and the grilled pork was thin and chewy. Just not satisfying. Today I came in for lunch and ordered the Bánh Xèo ($17.95), and it was a big disappointment. It was thick, soggy, and greasy, with zero crispness, nothing like the light, crunchy texture of Bánh Xèo. No mung beans which is signature Southern Vietnam style, and they added mushrooms, which felt like a Western twist. The filling included bean sprouts, shrimp, and BBQ pork (instead of traditional steamed pork). At least they were generous with lettuce and herbs, so I repurposed the filling into my own version of spring rolls since the Bánh Xèo itself was a flop. Check the photos, you'll see what I mean. I'm torn about this place. It's only a 15-minutes leisurely walk from my home, and I've given them multiple chances. Still the quality doesn't justify the convenience, I'd rather drive a little further for food that hits the mark. Happy to see their business doing well. It's their second location and they're in a prime spot right across from Kaiser Permanente Hospital and Medical Center. I just wish the food matched the potential of the location. P.Y. Happy Valley Food Carts yeah, I might be a little biased... I live here. And to the three of you…read moretrying to triangulate my exact location based on this review relax, it's not that serious. Let's get into it. Right off I-205 and just a short cruise up into Happy Valley, this spot feels like the food cart scene finally put on a clean shirt and got its life together. It's modern, it's polished, and it sits in a neighborhood where you don't feel like you need to keep your head on a swivel. No chaos, no nonsense just good eats and a relaxed vibe. What makes this place stand out? Options. A ridiculous amount of them. This isn't a "hope everyone agrees on tacos" situation. This is a "you get what you want, I get what I want, and we all win" kind of place. I've officially made it my mission few days left to try as many carts as humanly possible. Call it a food tour, call it a personal challenge, call it reckless ambition... I'm doing it anyway. We kicked things off at K-Pop Korean Hawaiian BBQ-because when you roll with a buddy from Hawaii, that's basically law. And let me tell you, it delivers. Bold flavors, solid portions, and that perfect fusion vibe that just works. Honestly, it set the bar high and that's saying something, because every cart here seems to bring their A-game. The setup is dialed in too. Covered seating for those rainy Oregon days, indoor space when winter decides to show up with attitude, and open-air areas when you want to sip a little wine or knock back a cold brew like a civilized adult. Surrounded by trees and mountain views, it almost tricks you into thinking you planned something outdoorsy... when really, you just came to eat. And here's the kicker it's clean. Like, noticeably clean. The carts look new, the area is well kept, and the whole place feels intentional. Not slapped together. Not gritty. This is food carting with standards. If you're local, you already know. If you're passing through, put this at the top of your list. And if you're doing a full-on food truck tour? Start here. Set the tone right. Because trust me after this, when you head back downtown and start dodging zombies and chaos... you'll miss this place real quick.

Love me some Happy Valley Station!…read more This is like the upscale farmers market of food carts- park your car, enjoy the landscaping, and check it all out. Beer and Espresso served and paid for inside. Restrooms are accessible and inside. Carts will give you a buzzer to notify you when the order is ready, so you can go walk around or find a seat while you wait. It was very busy this particular day, but no problem, all the carts seemed to be prepared for that! Just a lot of friendly faces who understood we needed to drool over all the menus before arriving somewhere. We landed on Premier Japanese Hibachi and loved all the flavor. Some of the freshest shrimp and yakisoba I have ever had. We also had the grilled shrimp and steak. TIP: don't forget to ask how you want your steak because it is made to order! The sauces on the side were perfect for dipping and sharing. Unfortunately, the portions did feel small for $18 a plate. Also, how to order water with your meal was confusing- another worker said just go inside. Eventually I saw signs that water is free with purchase or $1, but you would think it would be obvious. Overall, Premier Japanese Hibachi and everything else was a hit, 10/10, TY!

Nolan's response was "Nah I only get mochicko chicken and kalua, you likem?" Haha that was a definite yes! Won't miss out on home food esp if word of mouth was already out there. And let me tell you, the Mac salad didn't have so much frills like what you would see in a Portland Hawaii food joint. It was sauced, and seasoned. PERFECT! No need for all the extra add ons. As I started eating, let me say that kalua pork was no joke so moist and easy to eat not even close to dried out. The chicken tasted nice and crispy with just enough marinate and fluff.
