Pad Kee-mao, Spicy Minced Chicken, Wonton Soup
    Grace O.

I love Thai gormet! And I am so glad we have something local to satisfy my thai craving! I tried takeout for the first time, and I definitely believe this place is much better sitting inside but that's typically how most food is! I tried the pad kee-mao for the first time, and it was good but a bit too saucy for me. The noodles were a bit tough and stuck together which probably is just from the takeout box but it was flavorful but felt it was lacking meat. I would definitely stick with the pad thai or a stirfry from them. But it had a bold spicy flavor which I appreciate and I'm glad I tried it. The spicy minced chicken was a great size for the price and it being an appetizer. It was SO flavorful, and I just wanted to eat the chicken and order that all over again! So yummy. The wonton soup wasn't my favorite, the broth was basic but the wontons were soft and flavorful so I definitely tried to get a bite of wonton in every scoop. I probably wouldn't order it again, but it was nice to try as I know I already love a lot from Thai Gourmet. If looking for an app, try the potstickers!

    Broccoli chicken lunch takeout

I ordered takeout for the Brocolli chicken lunch And ordered fried rice instead of white rice. There was an upcharge for the fried rice. The food was very bland. The chicken texture was slimy. Unfortunately, I will not order again.

I didn't realize that I had been to this restaurant before. I ordered takeout and picked it up. Which is think made a huge difference rather than having a delivery service. The food was piping hot and it seems like it's a popular place for takeout. It was towards the end of their service and although online ordering was done, we could still call and place the order. There were a few people waiting to collect their takeout orders. The customer service was great and the restaurant looks quite nice. The takeout pick up is in the very back of the restaurant. I got the pan fried dumplings and the Siam tofu curry. The curry is definitely much better than the past order. The broth was so flavorful that I would've been over the moon with just a bowl of that either way rice. Of course there was rice and veggies which were delicious. I wish the tofu would've been able to soak up the broth more but I wouldn't say that's a deal breaker by any means. The dumplings were ok. The dipping sauce made them more tasty. But I wouldn't say this is a must order. I think next time I'll get a curry and try some noodles. Definitely would come back again

This was an interesting place. We got take away, but even after ordering 30 mins in advance (at a time the restaurant was not at all busy) we had to wait 15 minutes for the order. It seemed they were having bad take out day. The food was extra amazing, along with the portions and the look of it. We got the Pad Kee Mao noodles and the mango chicken. The noodles were nice and spicy with tons and tons of veggies. The mango chicken was very flavorful, it would have been even better if the mango was sweeter and now raw. The food portions had us stuffed rolling around in bed after we were done. On a trip this is exactly what you need, delicious no frills filling food.

Was in Independence and remembered this gem. It has been years since I've had the opportunity to return. So glad I remembered this place. The cashew nut chicken was amazing. (I asked for brown rice and got white but the great taste of the dish made up,for the oops) My husband had the shrimp, pad Thai and he loved it! It was a great portion. He had enough for lunch the next day. Definitely recommend Thai Gourmet !

    Thai Salad

I ordered a Thai Salad and it was good but the dressing could have been a little sweater. Egg rolls were good and they gave plenty of dipping sauces! The pad that was a good portion and had a good flavor.

Website was down so had to go in to order takeout. The restaurant has a challenging setup which makes service rough but the food was good! They still seem to have the same setup from Covid with very high booths that keep you from being able to see into the restaurant well. Led to a lot of confusion from customers as we awkwardly waiting around not knowing what to do. I got the pad Thai and the Thai rolls. Both were good. Nothing special, but good. Maybe would have felt differently if I ate there.

But hello-what about that food?! This place is LEGIT. We always look to try a good smattering of different dishes when we go somewhere new-so we tried some tom ka gai (yes a damn DELIGHT!) the larb-let it be known my better half doesn't like larb and thought this was great. We hit up some papaya salad-which had some good backend heat, but pleasant not burn your face off heat-so tangy, so tasty! Tried the beef and basil and the drunken noodles-both also crazy good. Yeah wish this place wasn't a 30 minute drive but a resounding HELL YES. muy autentico!

He was absolutely amazing at explaining everything, including the heat levels and the traditional ways to eat. I think this sort of casually traditional charm only heightened the experience. We had spring and garden roll appetizers and Basil/Cashew Nut dinner plates. The atmosphere was chill and casual. Place was immaculately clean and was a surprise to find on our way to meet a friend. The food flavors were only outdone by the casual and friendly service. A rare 5 star review for me.

On weekdays, the AYCE special is $25.95 per person, and I thought it was well worth the price. I ordered rock shrimp tempura, fried soft shell crab, pepper tuna tataki, steamed shumai, a bunch of nigiri (including white tuna, red tuna, egg, and yellowtail), a yellowtail scallion roll, and a Spider roll, which was a fried soft shell crab roll with some veggies. The rock shrimp tempura and fried soft shell crab came out hot, crispy, and delicious. The pepper tuna tataki was fresh and tender, and accompanied by some sliced avocado. All of the nigiri was fresh and tasty as were the sushi rolls. Most of the items on the AYCE menu are unlimited. The two exceptions are the fried soft shell crab and pepper tuna tataki. You're limited to one order of fried soft shell crab and three orders of pepper tuna tataki. As I dined solo, I'm not 100% sure if the limit applies to per person or per table. Even with those limits, I thought the AYCE special was a great deal, and I am definitely coming here again to try more items on the AYCE menu. The service was also friendly and attentive. My server came to refill my water several times, and I was never left waiting too long between AYCE orders. On the day I went, there was a group of people celebrating someone's birthday, and it seemed like the restaurant really made sure to make their day special.

I ordered the steak with noodles instead of rice, and the steak was incredibly tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly. It had such a great flavor, and the noodles were cooked just right, which is something I really appreciate. The service was quick and my server was genuinely kind and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Don't let the outside of the building fool you. When you step inside, it's clean, modern, and really well put together. They even played pleasant EDM music, which gave the place a fun and chill vibe without being too loud or distracting. I was pleasantly surprised by everything from the food to the atmosphere, and I will certainly be back.
