Their Swedish Massage, blending Swedish and Thai techniques, is absolutely divine. After one massage, you'll be a regular customer. I always leave TSSB feeling like a million bucks. All of their masseuses are wonderful. And you can't beat their prices. However, if you're the kind of person who likes the full spa experience -- I'm talking pre-consultation, white fuzzy robe, steam shower, sauna, etc. -- then TSSB might not be for you. As soon as you arrive, you're escorted to your room, and bing bang boom, you're in and you're out. It's a down-to-business, no fuss kind of place. One disclaimer... their Deep Tissue Massage is very intense. They are close and convenient, they have very long hours and I can usually walk in without an appointment. I've been there 3 times, each time a different person and all 3 did an amazing job. I usually get the 30 minute thai and it's the perfect amount of time, without spending too much $$. They stretch and massage, feels great. If you call 5 minutes ahead, they can usually get you right in, but that could change as more people find out about this place. read more

Awesome massage! I got a 90 min for $110. I opted for the sports/deep tissue. I felt so relaxed after my massage, she got all my kinks and pains outs. Plus, I had to wipe drool off my face at least 3 times, so you know they were that good. read more

65$ for the best 60 min massage I've ever had. They walk on your back ( gently ), deep tissue, hot stones , and stretch you out at the end. This place is a gem! I travel from Newton just to go as I am very picky about massage therapy and also loyal when I finally find a place that doesn't suck. I've been getting massage for 25 yrs and this is as good as it gets and at a better price than I can find at most other places! If you pay cash, you get a discount (cash is king still!). Thai Spa was recommended to me by my chiropractor (also awesome, she's at the BAC) if that tells you anything. I specifically go to either Care or Peach, so that is my frame of reference should you ask for them. Both are awesome (and strong!) I typically go for fairly deep pressure to relieve back/neck/hip pain and knots etc. You only need to tell them what is bothering you and they do the rest, which includes walking on you, hands, elbows, stretching etc. You will not be disappointed, trust me. You also get a nice Poland Spring bottle of water to rehydrate with as you leave. read more

This place is awesome, affordable and just a great addition to Southie! My friend Tina recommended Thai Spa after a 20 mile race we had run together. She swore by them since she had gone to their Quincy location regularly. Since then, I have tried both the signature and the deep tissue/sports massage. Currently, I prefer the deep tissue massage over the signature since I am logging alot of running miles for marathon training. Yet, I would go back for the signature to loosen up everyday muscle tension and strain. I highly recommend that you give this place a shot if you haven't yet. read more

This was I think the best massage I've had in my whole life, and that is saying a lot because I am actually a licensed massage therapist and have had many massages over the years! This was the first time however that I've had a Thai massage and it was definitely cool the way she walked in my back and stretched me in so many positions! I did the 90 minute signature thai massage and it was heaven. They incorporate a little bit of everything including hot stones. i always go to the thai spa in quincy because it's convenient, parking is easy, and the girls there are super nice. the south boston spa on the other hand, parking is really tough. the place is small, but it's really clean and nice! i go here mostly for facials, they know what they're doing and they'll do what your skin needs to be better. i love it! Nadia is great. ever since i went here for facials from them, i haven't been to any others. if i could i'd come here more often but it's really hard to find parking on the streets of south boston, it's best if someone drops you off. read more

Wanted to update my review since I went back yesterday for a massage. Since I've always had wonderful experiences with their facials I knew their massages would be great too. I've been to another massage place before (a chain) that has certified massage therapists, but the massage I got at Thai Spa was infinitely better than at that place. I had been having some back problems and feel so much better now. I'm a sensitive delicate flower (as my mom always says) so I asked for light pressure, which she applied masterfully. I got the Swedish massage which was a combination of a traditional massage and a Thai massage - using knees, forearms, and elbows in addition to regular techniques. Hot stones and towels were heavenly, and I love the oil they use. It's also very reasonably priced and as always the staff was so sweet and accommodating. I'll absolutely be coming back soon for another massage! read more
