AYCE RULES
Tokii L.

I came here ready to clench my gut for the rest of the night as Thai food-from experience, burns when it exits. This wasn't the case at all! We came here to celebrate the holidays with their AYCE hotpot. It comes in 3 rounds, there was epic confusion on what number to put next to each item. It indicates servings - so if you want more put a higher number. Although be warned the good cuts of meat are limited to 2 servings per round. There are different tiers to the AYCE hotpot and for some reason this info isn't posted on here so I took photos of the menu! Yay! $30 for lunch classic tier AYCE $50 for dinner high tier AYCE The little sauce station is nice but a bit of a mess. They serve complimentary half cut spring rolls and shaved papaya salad at the sauce station. Expect to pay around $50 ish per person for the higher tier of meats at dinner. I say it's definitely worth it for the beef alone and seafood if that's what you fancy. Service is pretty fast and they are super attentive! I just wish the tables were a bit more spaced as we did bump into other people, or had people mid booty cheek cutting it close to our table edge.

I saw this place from the instagram account pdxfoodfinds, and as a hotpot lover I needed to try it. We chose the tom yum and Japanese shoyu broth bases. The tom yum was slightly more watery compared to the normal tom yum I eat as a main dish, but since it was for hotpot I didn't mind. The shoyu was good, it was savory, umami, and a little bit sweet, perfect for enoki mushrooms and veggies. The chicken and beef were fresh too. I cooked them in the tom yum and they turned out so tender. As the video said, they did have a smaller section of dipping sauces compared to Chinese hotpot, but that worked for me as long as I got some soy sauce and chili sauce. I had a few experiences with mu kratha in Koh Chang ten years ago, and it was super fun. The food and the flavors here kind of brought back those memories. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a bit of soupy late night food and wants some comfort food, especially on a cold, rainy night.

Good and friendly services! We asked for extra broth and they didn't charge us so that was a plus. Our food quality overall was alright nothing stood out for me. There were no desserts available so it was a bit disappointing. We walked down the street to find dessert after dinner. Average space with typical Thai's decor.

The customer service was excellent here. Good for groups of 4 or less. Cozy location in northwest. Street parking only. This establishment does traditional Thai food or you can do Hotpot (AYCE), which was what we ordered. They have a mini sauce bar with plenty of options. The broths we chose were delicious and flavorful. Plenty of meat and vegetable options, and an assortment of other things. Mo was our waiter/host and is such a kind and welcoming individual. She truly made the experience memorable and I'm looking forward to going back to try more.

Hot pot heaven? More like HOT POT HELL. dried meat on my spoon... sugar water for broth... zero alcoholic beverages. Look guys, I'm Thai. The staff was very nice but did not distract from the mid broth. Mind you that's the only thing u need to get right

An excellent Thai hot pot experience. Come early because it gets busy quick! The space is small but we were lucky enough to grab a table for an early dinner. There's an assortment of veggies, apps, salads, and noodles to choose from as well as meats. The service was impeccable and they made sure we're were well taken care of. No waiting around for more food to come while the clock ticks (you're on a time limit). They came out with the food quick and got us more broth when needed. A delicious experience!

Try this new hot pot location and was very impressed overall. The inside seating is moderate and it wasn't busy when we went. We got the prime all you can eat and did the mala and house clear broth. The mala was amazing and when they refilled our broth, even added more spices to recharge the flavor! We got all the prime cuts and it was very tender and delicious with the broth. The sauce bar is also very customizable and they have all the utensils and bowls out so you can grab it instead of waiting. That decor and music really puts you in the mood. The only thing I would say is there was only a few workers so getting refills and flagging down for orders took a while so we had to wait quite a bit after our first wave to order and get our second wave. Also, the giant prawns are amazing. The chive pancake is super good; really crispy and nice flavor. Be careful those are dangerous!

We came for the premium AYCE and it was such a fun experience! The spread of sauces is awesome and they were all really tasty. They had a really good selection of cooked appetizers and sides as well but we tried not to indulge too much in that so we could focus on hot pot! However, the chive cakes were tasty and the pad Thai was actually quite good. The pad Thai was a bit of a filling portion though. The jumbo fresh water shrimp were maybe the biggest I've seen at a restaurant in Portland, but super tasty!! They barely even fit in the pot! Surprisingly the bok choy and the enoki mushrooms were also on the premium menu. I wish there had been more seafood, even if it was on the premium menu, I do love having fish in hot pot. However, everything was really tasty and they even had a shave ice machine for you to make your own for dessert! I'd definitely come back, but if I had any recommendations, I'd say the veggies should all be on the regular menu, and there should be more seafood options, even if they all go on the premium menu.

We came here on a Friday for lunch around noon in December and we had the place all to ourselves! More people came later as we were leaving and the place really filled out. The server was so patient with us and explained how everything worked and we decided to go with the AYCE option since it made the most sense for bang for your buck. You mark down what you want for each round and I would totally recommend the AYCE option if you have a healthy appetite or going with a group of 2 or more. What I appreciated most was that the clear labeling of everything for food allergies, especially great for glute-free friend I was dining with! I loved that the sauce bar had special Thai condiments in addition to some of the hot pot sauce based I'm used to. The egg roll and pot stickers were golden and crispy - my toddler's favorite. We loved the sticky rice pouch, that was so fun to eat from. Meat options and veggies sides are pretty common for hot pot but I was especially excited about the Tom yum broth, which had the perfect balance of tangy and savory. We left with our bellies full and while it's on the pricier side for hot pot (a La carte or AYCE option) I would entourage you to come check out this homey and cozy place for yourself!

We finally made it here to try their hot pot. It's different from the other places as it's more Thai based, from the broth and also some of the sides. I did like that you can order some of the hot items - chicken and beef skewers, as well as pad see ew and pad kee mao on the side. The veggies were standard on what you would expect to get for hot pot. The meat quality was decent. They also had a shaved ice machine that you can make a simple shaved ice dessert after your meal.

Hello loyal customer, we are so sorry for the inconvenience. And this is the growth feedback that we can work on more. I will update that and thanks so much for your feedback.

Can I do a one person AYCE hot pot? If not, where can I find the a la carte menu? The website didn't help with that :(

Is this AYCE? I can not seem to finding pricing or information

No, it's not.

So we went in the middle of the afternoon but the line was still pretty long. They were nice enough to let us sit at tables they weren't waiting on while we waited. The restaurant has a jungle vibe, a real Southeast Asian feel. It's fun and lively. The waitstaff are pleasant, albeit not super friendly but maybe that's the vibe they're going for. We got the fried chicken, the wok fried yu choy, smoked pork krapao, white curry with brisket, and red curry with veggies. We also got a bunch of drinks. It's fun to have a place that puts just as much effort into their non alcoholic drinks as their alcoholic drinks. Strongly recommend you try something while you're here. Everything was great but if I had to pick my two favorites, it was the fried chicken and the white curry. I was worried the fried chicken would be too sweet but it's very well balanced. Not overly sweet or sour, very crispy and the meat was tender and juicy. For some reason I thought they would bones in them but they didn't. It was clearly the table favorite as it was gone pretty quick. The white curry was a great example of how this mashup of two cuisines work well together. The white curry is a mellow flavor and almost acts like a thin gravy to the well smoked brisket. I have high standards for brisket and whether this would hold up on its own is a question but it certainly worked well in this context. That's not to say the rest wasn't good. I think I liked the pork more than others but the stronger Thai flavors was not as big of a hit as the rest. That said, the fried egg was perfect and paired with the juicy pork belly that was so tender and rich. The red curry was delicious although the choice of veggies was not my favorite. The yu choy was good, if not a little ordinary. Some may not like the bitterness of the yu choy but I thought it added a little complexity to the flavors. All in all, we loved it here and will definitely come back if in Portland again.

5 star food with excellent service - very welcoming and knows how to upsell lol…read more Food Orderd: 1. Fried Chicken Roti Combo - holy fried chicken crispy, combo comes with 1x leg and 1x thigh cut into two pieces. Curry was delicious and balance, excellent when dipped with the crispy roti or fried chicken. Pickled veggies were a great pairing and sweet and sour added another dimension. 2. Pad Thai - glistening noodles served inside an egg omelet. Very solid pad thai - sweet, sour, salty. Don't forget to add the fresh shrimp, these were cooked perfectly and plump. I recommend the restaurant should take the shrimp tail shell off for us. 3. Thai Basil Lemonade - solid lemonade, NEED more basil flavor. Overall, I'd come here again to eat and try other items as well. I'll give it a 5 star for now but more 4.5.

I'll start by saying this place is definitely not big so come with the expectation that you might have to wait for a table. There's only about 8-10 tables in the place and it's definitely geared towards smaller groups. Regardless we ordered at the front and then were able to find a seat. Wound up ordering the combo to try and get a taste of everything. The portions were solid and everything was super tasty. The chicken is perfectly breaded and delicious. It's a bit of a messy meal so just come with that in mind. Have a bunch of different options that also looked tasty. Will have to come back and try again. Service was fine. They were kind and cleared the table. Water is self serve at front of the restaurant and they clearly do a fair amount of takeout. Cool local spot to definitely check out.

Service was efficient on a weekday for lunch. I was very impressed that the woman serving us also cooks. She said she has one other person helping her over the weekend. The food was SO DELICIOUS. This was the best pad Thai we had with such depth of flavor - not too sweet or oily, just perfect. We also had the pad kra pao, eggplant and tom kha. The tom kha had good flavor and with a thinner broth that I'm used to which was fabulous. The eggplant was so delicious - the consistency was incredible. Not too soggy, just right. I also tried the mango sticky rice. For drinks we had the Thai lemon tea which tasted like Thai iced tea without the milk and lemon added - delightful!
