Really great atmosphere. The restaurant itself is rather small and intimate with really cozy vibes and a beautiful interior. Our waitress was lovely and very friendly. The food itself was average. Other than the fried avocado, the meals lacked uniqueness and interesting flavors. The food wasn't bad by any means, there was just nothing special to set it apart. Thai House is by far the best Thai food I've ever had. We live in Texas and spend a lot of time in the roaring fork valley. It is a must visit every time I'm in town. My go to order is the curry (I've had and loved the red and green) and the pad Thai. We add chicken or shrimp and normally get a 4 on the spice level. We also love the sushi- specifically the el jebel roll. We've had many things on the menu and have never been disappointed in a dish. They do it all perfectly. The staff is amazing and makes us feel like regulars even though we only get to come a few times a year. The room is small and dark with a great vibe. This last visit we brought our one year old and they were so accommodating to us. A hidden gem we recommend to friends often. But be prepared- once you've had Thai House no Thai food will compare. read more

I have been coming to this RF valley for many many years. I come every year for the full month of September. I have seen restaurants come and go, I have seen shifts in atmosphere and energy for over 40 years. This trip was the year to fall in love with THC Sushi. A friend who was visiting from Hawaii loved to go in and visit with Arik and Amber while waiting for food to go. The vibe is comfy and home-y. The conversation is authentic.. and we loved the food. My husband gave a big thumbs up to the salmon and mango curry. Unique! Tasty! Thank you being such a great addition to El Jebel. Since our local sushi place Sake closed, I have been driving about 50 minutes round-trip from Snowmass Village to this spot to get my sushi fix. All of the rolls I've gotten are tasty, but the lettuce wraps are on another level. I get them with tofu to share with my wife who is vegetarian and they are absolutely delicious (speaking as a non-veggie). The only thing that is not A+ is the garlic edamame, which I would skip. Other reviewers have commented on the prices being high. I think they are very reasonable compared to other sushi spots in the RFV. Definitely worth a trip to this place for takeout! read more

As a long time local, nothing saddens me more than to see a great local spot change so much that it ruins what made them popular to begin with. Full disclosure we have been there a solid 10 times before we felt the need to leave a review. When I first started coming to T.H.C., I felt like their prices were a bit inflated, but their creativity, omakase, and unique fish selections made me ignore the fact that they were charging what the more expensive places in San Francisco or New York were charging. I was happy to support a local business that was bringing great quality to the down valley locals. Unfortunately, my last several experiences have caused me to redirect my business when it comes to sushi or Thai cravings. The last time we came, we ordered food to go. We couldn't eat one thing because it was all so salty. This time we tried both sushi and cooked dishes to give it one last fair shot. I will never come here again. The options for sushi are now only yellowtail, tuna, and salmon....yawn. The chef's roll was just not good. We ordered the salmon option, but received a tuna roll with a speck of salmon on top. Yes we know salmon can be more expensive but the menu has them priced the same and we asked for salmon not tuna. I don't like tuna. The ribs tasted like beef jerky....dry and just too sweet. I'm pretty sure the eggrolls are frozen...they were SO bad. The prices have gone up, yet partnering with a second business (coffee shop during the day) to share the cost of rent, and the quality has gone WAY down. The fact that Butch's has a better soft shell crab dish for less speaks volumes. The soft shell crab dish and crispy tuna rice dish just tasted liked fried sweet and sour sauce. Both horrible. We didn't have one dish that we finished and nothing we would order again. I won't be coming back. This is hands down the worst meal I've had in the roaring fork valley in the last 2 + years. THC is 5 minutes from our house. I'd rather drive to Aspen, and pay for 5 times the variety at Jing or Kenichi or even pay more for Matsu as it would feel worth it. Izakaya in Carbondale is also 100 times better. They have more variety and I have never had a bad experience there. This felt like throwing money away. We should have been suspicious when there were only three other tables that were occupied inside and out on a beautiful day. We spent over $200 and left starving. We have never left this much uneaten food....it was THAT bad. As far as the service goes, they tried, but it was bad as well so I can't even add a star for that. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I hate throwing away money even more. read more

The service is so wonderful and all of the servers are very kind. The restaurant itself is is small but decorated very well, and feels very comfortable. Incredible find in El Jebel. Family run (two cousins run the Sushi out front and their sister cooks the Thai in the kitchen). Super friendly service and incredible fresh and creative Japanese and Thai food. Many times we just ask for the chef's choice as they know what is the freshest and most creative sauces. Let them show their creativity by allowing them some flexibility. Vegetables always amazing (broccoli, beans, and box choy amongst my favorites). The sashimi always amazing . We were wary because this place only has 3 reviews. Well, I'm proud to be Number 4. Google Maps has the location wrong, but it's right next to Bella Mia. I'm probably a bit biased because I feel like they spoiled the hell out of us. It's family run, but they're a very hip family. Amazing!!! Everything is amazing!!! It's hidden away so wasn't overcrowded. The staff was so friendly, granted we visited with a local, but the staff treated us like we were family! A bit difficult to find as it's a small place with a large blue curtain over the front door and the sign needs to be updated ....but do not overlook this place if you're looking for some fantastic food! If you have a party of 4 or more you may want to do the take out option, again, it has a small and somewhat dark atmosphere around the tables. Prob not suited for children. The family run restaurant has very attentive wait staff and the chef and his sister chef both greeted us and explained the menu. Do not miss a chance to enjoy this place, although I probably should not leave this review as I'm sure it will contribute to it being too crowded from popularity. If you come at 6ish, it's easy to get a table, but afterward, the experience is a full house. This restaurant is not a large space, but definitely a clean one. The family takes great pride in offering any custom service they have available and are even open to suggestions. The food took my breath away, especially the waitress's mother's "secret recipe" for curry soup. They insist on providing the best version of each dish and even some new ones. Most dishes arrive to the table and everyone in the restaurant turns to look and the beautiful presentation. From hearty to light but satisfying, they have something for everyone. Also, the certain dishes look different each time, depending on what garnishes and dressings are freshly available from the market that day. Vegan friendly!!!!!
