Who knew there was scrumptious Chinese food in Carbondale?!?!? In a shopping mall, no less?!?! Plus, this is one of the few places in town that is open on a Sunday night. One evening, we had a family rendez-vous here, which worked for both vegans and carnivores. Our friendly server led us through the bar and main room to another dining area that was much roomier. Service was attentive for our large group. The Crab Rangoon appetizers ($8.95) disappeared almost immediately. The vegans devoured the Edamame ($4.95). I ordered the ample Sizzling Beef and Scallops ($26.95), which was spicy and delicious. Even though I ate a lot of it, there was plenty left over for a huge lunch the next day! Everyone else enjoyed what they ordered. I would have written more about their dishes, but they were annoyed that I was taking photos. The restaurant itself is sparkling clean, including the bathroom. A huge parking lot out front makes this a convenient place to dine. Looking forward to returning the next time I'm in Carbondale! read more

The food was delicious, the portions generous and the service top notch. My husband had a perfect martini and he loved his dragon roll. I had crab rangoons ( wonderful!) and delicious hot sour soup which I couldn't finish. The waiter took great care to pout it into a container and then put that in a plastic bag so it wouldn't spill on our drive home. We love the Glenwood Ming's and found the Carbondale location to be excellent, too. read more

Ming's cafe is a pleasant surprise hidden away in the shopping mall next to City Market. As your facing CM it's to the right. We ordered a variety of dishes from the War Wanton soup to Mu Shoo pork and all dishes appealed to everyone's tastes. One needs to remember this restaurant is located in a small CO town and so, having this restaurant to change up your dining menu is a real plus. Enjoy! read more

My husband and I come here once every couple of month la and it never disappoints! The service is phenomenal and the food is always on point. The chicken coconut soup is drool worthy. It's a MUST. Checked out Ming's and this restaurant and it was super clean and chill inside. The service here was quick and neat nothing that we ordered was delayed. Our waiter was super nice and on time. He made sure our water never got below a certain point in our glasses and cleared our unwanted plates. This guy was amazing. Our food that we got was amazing as well. I order the lo mein while my boyfriend got Thai curry. We will most definitely come back a second time and bring additional friends with us, so they can taste how great the food was. We ate here pre Covid and wasnt sure they were still in business but they were and we are so GLAD! we traveled 4 hours to visit Glenwood and would travel that distance every day to eat at Mings!!! My college suitemate's parents chose to treat my family to a good Asian fusion meal here at Ming's. Asian options in Aspen were too pricey. They knew the people at this place, so they ensured we got a five-star experience. I can say that even without this we would still have enjoyed good Asian food here. The sushi rolls were done well. There wasn't too much sweet rice. The entrees are great for sharing with others. We ordered for the table and still had leftovers after the third course. I'm happy with this place and hope that others will enjoy their visits as we enjoyed ours. read more

My family got sick with food poisoning from eating at Mings. When I tried to report the incident to the manager on duty she was very rude and told me to prove it! I doubt she was the owner but she asked we don't come back to Mings. We won't be back. read more

Good Chinese food! Black pepper chicken was really tasty, with a kick. Sauce was well cooked in which is a Plus. The curry puffs were also great and vegetarian. Mooshu pancakes was amazing as well as the vegetables that were cooked to perfection. Volcano shrimp was good too a bit sweet for me but good nonetheless! The prices are about standard ($17-20/dinner portion) for quite a generous serving. I got the sweet and sour tofu, which was flavorful. My bf got the combo fried rice - HUGE portion. He enjoyed it! I stopped in on the spur of the moment, and the joint was jumping. I'd say the service was decent given the demands of patrons (nothing out of line, just super busy). My problem is that I had a LONG wait for my order, and unfortunately, the seasoning on the dishes, as well as the rice was not good, additionally, for what I spent, I did not get much food. read more

Comparing to a lot of Asian restaurants in the valley, Ming's cafe is above average (in the valley standard). Spider roll was fresh but took some time to come. Singapore laksa was flavorful but I would ask to have the noodles on the side next time. Servers need some training. The tall girl smiled in an insincere way when greeting guests. She put food on the table and walked away abruptly. When I was done, she came to collect the plates and proceed to sit at the bar and on her phone for 5 minutes till she got up to get my check. The reason I say the service was bad is because when I ordered, all of my family's food came out at different times (which is to somewhat be expected) but then when my food came out, it was on my brother's plate (the waitress didn't tell me or anyone about this) and I was sat waiting for my food until everyone was done eating. The sweat tea I ordered also didn't come out for a while and when it did i was told I would have to add sugar to it because they didn't sell premixed sweet tea. Overall 3/5 wasn't bad. read more

Usually a great place but last night the chicken fried rice gave me terrible food poisoning.

At least 4 employees behind the bar, maybe 5. 4 customers in the restaurant, 2 of which were leaving. No employee greeted me when I walked in. I stood at the bar looking at the menu and asked if I could make a to go order one employee said yes and then continued to ignore me. We've had hit or miss, lately more misses, with service and food. Late orders, wrong orders' type a thing. Their sushi is excellent and it's the only reason we keep going back (there is a better Asian food option in DT Carbondale). The only Thai food I order no matter where we go in the US is Pad Thai, usually with 1 or 2 stars for spiciness. As of 12-2023, Ming's starts their Pad Thai spice level at a 3. So if you order a 1 or 2, you're really ordering a 4 or 5. Meaning prepare for fire... so unpleasant that I've needed to send it back once in the restaurant, and return another takeout order from home the next day. The last time I ate there, I asked about this since it was still seared in my memory. That's when we were given the explanation... it does not have to be that way, and it makes zero sense! So recapping, if you want good sushi, go there. If you want Pad Thai, go downtown. read more

Don't think we will come back. My husband ordered hot and sour soup and I ordered egg drop soup. Both arrived lukewarm at best. My pad Thai chicken had something in it that made it taste sweet.
