Very impressed with the quality of food especially being that this is in red bluff, which honestly isn't known for great ethnic food. My take out included Pad Thai and roast duck curry. Both were very flavorful and the pad thai was not overly sweet like it usually is. Portion size isn't the greatest but it fits the bill. Take out containers were the tougher plastic kind that doesnt leak easily and the pad thai was nicely contained in foil. Overall I was very happy with the meal and I'll definitely be back. read more

Don't let the beige older exterior fool you... Inside it is clean, Thai decorations, and several tables. Great service and the food was fresh and prepared quickly. I had drunken noodles with vegetables (vegetarian) and tried the pot stickers as well. Pot stickers really more like steamed but delicious and very pretty on the serving dish. Good food, good prices, good servings. I ordered the pineapple curry and asked for it very very very hot and the waitress brought me my food and announced she ordered it medium for me. Literally every restaurant I go to does this, so I wasn't too surprised. There was no spice to it at all. I ended up having to ask for fresh peppers a few times before I was able to make it spicy enough to enjoy. Waitress did say the peppers were homegrown, too. Always the best. read more

Ok.... I'm guessing that this is probably the best in the area but not the best for the state of Calif. Spicy chicken coconut soup not that spicy....chicken overcooked to me. Also had drunken noodles with pork...tasted and looked like chicken in the soup...asked and found out it was chicken. Was returned to the kitchen but what came back looked very similar . Very few big rice noodles and everything was overcooked . Also had grilled beef salad.... The beef looked like the chicken too. Maybe they boil all of their meat. I do not recommend this place unless that's all you got.... I would fix at home in that case. I make a great Spicy Chicken coconut soup. Find the ingredients at an Asian market and make yourself. read more

Driving from central CA to Portland and made a quick stop here. I had the avocado curry with chicken. It was slightly spicy (by request) and a little sweet. Very tasty! The chicken satay was perfect for an appetizer and the peanut sauce was excellent. The husband ordered a noodle dish which was equally tasty. Wow, this Thai food rivals the expensive places in San Francisco. The service is very friendly and the food is really delightful. My three year old said "Tell the lady to bring us burittos" so she brought two egg rolls and said "these are Thai burritos" and gave them to us for free! What a nice gesture. Food is really really tasty. The best dish we ordered was a chicken dish in garlic pepper sauce. Plate licking good. Pad Thai was also quite good. I've tried the spicy basil w/chicken was very good but hot spicy was too much spicy for this brown girl, so I'm sticking to medium spicy...it's just right. I had come to Thai House a couple of times before, so this,is where I picked to take a friend for a birthday lunch. As usual the food was tasty, the service nice. BUT, as we are getting ready to leave, i look on the wall, and there is a cockroach crawling down the wall. I point it out to my friend, and we both just felt ill. If there are cockroaches roaming around during broad daylight, i shudder to think what things look like in the kitchen! Then i read another review, who said they found part of a cockroach in their food! This is just nasty. I will never go back again. So disappointing as the food is tasty and well prepared...prepared in a kitchen that probably host tons of cockroaches. read more

Just finished a great meal! Ordered the pineapple curry with chicken and the pad Thai with chicken, both mild. It was absolutely delicious but a tad too hot for my sensitive taste buds. I have to have Tom Kai at least once a month. Even in the summer time! Amazing goodness! The wait staff leaves a little to be desired but I'm thinking there might be limited English. I would not go here again. My husband and I felt like the waitstaff did not care about us at all. They did not bring us what we had tried to order, and when we asked about it, they acted like it was not their problem. We also asked for food that was not spicy, and what they brought us was so spicy that we could not finish eating it. They came over to ask us if the food was too spicy, but if you know that the food might be too spicy, then why wouldn't you just make it less spicy in the first place? Anyway, we left the restaurant feeling really frustrated and I have been feeling physically sick for the past day from the food. Cockroaches galore. I swung by at closing... Saw 2 cockroaches climbing the walls. Tried showing the owners only for them convince me that they weren't cockroaches... It actually took me awhile to absorb the big picture and I still took my food. Pad Thai was pretty good actually, but started thinking about it afterwards and if there are cockroaches in the dining room, there is probably a ton in the kitchen, so I probably ate something that's been contaminated, yikes. Honestly, I don't even want to give this one star. This is the worst Thai food I've ever had in my entire life--by far. I couldn't even eat much of it because it was so bad. I've had Thai in Hawaii, Southern California, and oregon--so I know what I'm talking about--especially when this place falls under the line of "gross." I came here with my cousin on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was dead. I knew we should've walked out but my cousin insisted this that this place was great. And it was weird because they served our food after 5 minutes of ordering it--and we ordered 3 dishes. My guess is that they cook everything in larger quantities and put it in some fridge in the back and warm it up. Also: their chicken tasted like crap. I don't even know if it WAS chicken..! I don't think I've ever been so negative about a restaurant's food--but do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. And then I woke up this morning feeling sick--all thanks to the Thai food. It amazes me when restaurants use the crappiest forms of ingredients and combinations and think that they can get away with it. Nobody is going to eat their food. Shockingly good for a little town like Red Bluff. Friendly service, excellent food. I have never had anything from this place that wasn't really delicious. I'd recommend the Crying Tiger, one of the more expensive menu items but you won't find tastier beef anywhere else in town. read more

Pretty good Thai food for Red Bluff! The veggies were a bit undercooked, and some of the rice was hard, but overall, the food was not bad. The place looked small from the outside, and it was the same inside. The tables were close, which wasn't a problem when we got there, but when the lunch crowd hit, it got crowded. There was only one waiter/host, but he seemed to keep on top of things pretty well for us (which was easy, since there was only 1 other couple when we arrived). Not sure how he did when it was getting busy as we left. We wanted the 'golden Wings" as an appetizer, but was told they don't have them anymore (despite still being on the menu). My wife got the mild Cashew Chicken which was great, I had the medium spicy Garlic Chicken, which was a tad bland, but okay overall. The dinner came with a small cup of soup and a salad, both of which we really enjoyed. I'll be stopping by again when we are in the area! read more

I came on here to write a comment on the great service and food I had at the Thai House while traveling to LA with my husband on the 28th of December. My food and my husbands was great, the service was even better, the girl was very kind and let us have a minute to decide what we wanted without hovering and making us feel like we needed to hurry. I read the other comments and noticed that a customer had left a very nasty comment about the server girl. The customer as known as Ashely S. or so her name says on the comment, said that this happened at 7pm. I was there at 7pm. She is lied about the service and the food. For one there was actually a group of 7 and 3 other tables of 2. The service was great. Even though everyone was asking a lot of the server she had managed to get everything out while maintaining a smile and even joking with the regular customers. Shame on you Ashely for writing poorly about the service and food. What was you problem with the server, was she too pretty and kind, did you think she would steal your husband from you because you are obviously a stuck up B...ch princess who thinks everyone needs to worship the ground you walk on? "THIS is your tip" You are not the queen and servers work their butts off more than your lazy A$$ ever will.
