We assume they charged us $5 delivery fee without telling us. and they are only 3 minutes driving distance from where I live.We end up giving them more cause we didn't know they charged us for delivery. Don't let the lame sign fool you; this place is really tasty. There is limited seating in the restaurant, but the food is certainly worth it. My friend and I stumbled in here on a cold winter's day and ordered up a veritable feast. The Pad See You was really excellent and the service was fast and friendly. It's BYOB, which is great since the Wine & Cheese Cask is right down the street. We picked up some Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale and had a truly enjoyable meal. I love Thai Hut so much, it hurts. One thing I've always loved about it is that they have so many dishes that I have tried to (unsuccessfully) find at other Thai restaurants, even in Thai-dominated neighborhoods, such as Woodside in Queens, NY. I constantly crave things like the Chai Ya noodles or the CRISPY pad thai. I have never been disappointed with anything from the menu, and even my picky-about-quality-and-things-like-that father really loved Thai Hut, so that has to say a lot. I've been going to Thai Hut for over a year and a half. Food is excellent, price is fair and very inexpensive for the amount of food and the quality of the food! Highly recommend the Red Curry or any of the noodle specialties. Dine-in can be tricky as there are only a few tables, but take-out is always a great option. They package your food with care to make sure nothing will ever spill or get crushed. Thai Hut is definitely one of the better Thai places I have eaten here in Camberville, and I will continue to eat here in the future! read more

Thai hut is a good place to grab some take out. It's reasonably priced and very fast (never more than 20 minutes, even on weekends). Their lunch specials are a steal (so much food and really cheap). I love that they actually make their food spicy ---not just white man spicy, but oh wow my esophagus just disintegrated, but I kind of like it spicy. The "Chai Ya Noodle" and "Drunken Noodle" are phenomenal. I've ordered "country style pad thai" (not on their menu) and they made it anyways. The woman who works the register is a sweetheart as well :) Also, not ideal for groups because it can only seat 8 people max. read more

Yes, as its name, it is a very tiny restaurant with 3 tables if I remember well. I tried their beef & shrimp pai thai and as others told, so delicious and can be the No.1 Thai food of my experience. But I only tried Pai thai since it's easy for take out. Imaging sitting inside with so tiny room makes me kind of reluctant. The price is relatively cheap for around 10 bucks for pai thai. But actually I think the first time's Pai thai was bigger in size then the second one I had. Not sure about the reason. read more

Good Food served with a smile! Thai Hut is on the way to work and on the way home for me so after a month of walking pass them, I decided to give them a try. I ordered some take out and the Server sat me down and gave me a glass of water while I wait even though I was just doing take-out. I was surprised by the hospitality and when the food finally came, a big smile was given as they handed the food to me. I normally don't get smiles from far classier and expensive places when I'm eating out, much less a smile when I'm just doing take out. I've also ordered delivery once and even their delivery guy smiled at me. As you can probably tell, courteousness is huge for me and they delivered it in spades. That said, as for the food, it's exactly as what you'd imagine Thai food to be like. I like Thai food so to me it's great, but compared to other Thai restaurants, it's just ok. read more

The best scallion pancakes I've ever had (crispy/flaky, perfect dipping sauce). The best fried tofu. The drunken noodles are also amazing. I used to live right around the corner from here and had to limit myself to getting takeout once a week, just for budget reasons, I could've gone every day and not gotten bored. The staff are all very kind and trusted me to leave/come back one time when my credit card declined (aforementioned budget issues, haha). Great Thai food! They've become my local favorite for Thai takeout. Their Yellow Curry is incredible! Really though, you can't make a wrong pick here -- all of the stuff I've gotten has been delicious. A fair warning though: their curry can be quite spicy, and rice doesn't automatically come along with it; you need to order it separately as a side. read more

Ordered massaman curry, crab rangoons, and pad see ew. Honestly, the food wasn't that great. Crab rangoons were mainly fried wonton with a small amount of dry and grainy crab filling in each, and they tasted chewy not crispy. Huge let down there. The noodles were okay but dry and not very flavorful and the broccoli was brown and overcooked. I ordered it with crispy chicken which was a mistake, because it was very dry and flavorless. I appreciate how hard it is to run a restaurant with Covid going on but this place was just another sup-bar forgettable Thai joint for me. I've had quasi-decent experiences with Thai Hut, but after this last experience they deserve 0 stars. Long story short after 2 hours of waiting for a delivery I called them and they said it was out for delivery.. 45 minutes after that I called back and they denied ever getting an order from us. I love this restaurant. It is my neighborhood favorite, and I eat there often. The food is always delicious. The prices are reasonable. The service is prompt, polite, discreet, and nice. The tiny interior is kept cozy and warm in the winter with extra heaters. Really very excellent. I eat a lot of Thai, and some places are amazing, and some aren't up to par. When discriminating between good and ban, few dishes are as indicative as 1) fresh spring rolls 2) massaman curry & 3) their preparation of Pad Thai. Very good all around, and plenty for leftovers. Fantastic! Given that i am a pretty good cook myself, I am, usually, a very picky eater when it comes to dining out. In this case, however, i was impressed by the freshness of ingredients, generous portions, succulent flavors, and amazingly fast service (they took and put together the order of 5 dishes in 15 minutes, and even added an extra free soup as a bonus.) I've ordered food from Thai Hut many times, either for delivery or for pick up. The food has usually been just ok, a solid 3 stars. Not the best but it'll get the job done. However, this last experience has led me to this 1 star review and never getting food from there again: I found hairs in my pad see ew! :( Yes, you read that correctly: hairS. Not just a single piece of hair. There were a couple strands of very short curly black hairs. I understand mistakes happen, and an occasional piece of hair might get in food once in a blue moon. But more than one hair strand? Come on, that's just gross and you need to improve your sanitation habits. read more

This little restaurant is a hidden gem. It looks like nothing from the outside. But don't be fooled, inside is some of the best Thai food in the Boston/Cambridge area. The owner is usually at the front desk, she's incredibly friendly and really helpful with suggestions. The pad thai is delicious, the currys are wonderful. We've always had a good experience whether eating in (it's small and it's byob) or doing take-out. One night we were in the mood for dessert, and the owner suggested we try the sticky rice with mango. Luscious. My husband swears their fried ice cream is the best he's ever had, and he's managed to eat a lot of fried ice cream in his travels around the world. FYI. . . a little neighborhood gossip. . . when they were filming the movie 'Social Network' they shot a scene in the Thai Hut. Ugh. We tried this place tonight for the first time. Not again. Delivery was an hour later than they quoted (half hour; didn't arrive for 90 minutes). The final bill before tip came in $6 higher than the menu prices but there's no mention of a delivery fee on their site or menu. The Pad Thai was dry, had hardly any egg in it, and a bunch of weird veggies (mushrooms?!). The Masaman Curry had white potatoes instead of sweet potatoes, and the sauce was overly creamy but without a lot of flavor and no heat. The Tofu Emerald was ok: steamed veggies, fried tofu, and a container of peanut sauce on the side. Bummed. I think we're going back to Lemon Thai. read more

I'm not normally a big Yelper, but I was so impressed with this place, I'd be remiss not to write them a review. I ordered delivery online, and it arrived in less than 30 minutes - which I was quite impressed with, since I'm in Cambridge. (Also bonus points for the delivery guy actually coming to my door, not just calling me from the lobby of my apartment building like some places like to do.) Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. The steamed dumplings were hands down the best dumplings I've ever had... and they were huge. The pad see yoo was also amazing - the flavor was subtle and delightful, and the noodle texture was perfect (not mushy). The sauces that come with the appetizers were also very tasty. I will be ordering from this place again and again and again, probably on a weekly basis. If I had to come up with one criticism, it would be that the portions were not as big as those that you normally get from Asian food take-out places - i.e., the containers were mostly full, as opposed to stuffed-to-the-brim. But their prices also reflect that, so all in all, can't complain. read more

Always and consistently my favorite Thai restaurant ever! The staff are wonderful and make me feel like family. Even when they are busy (they were swamped tonight!) they make sure I get my food as fast as possible. I'm not the type to usually become a regular somewhere, but when they hear my order of Crispy Chicken Pad Thai and Chicken Satay (which I must say, is great. The noodles are delicious and soft, the crispy chicken is perfectly crispy but will still melt in your mouth, and the peanut sauce is hands down, the best peanut sauce on the planet), I know it's going to be delicious and I can't wait for my evening. I love this place! I love calling on my way home, ordering take out and picking it up 10 minutes later. It's about $10 but it definitely can be considered 2 meals. I especially love the masaman curry with chicken but they also have good vegetarian options. As others have said, no they don't have brown rice, but come on, it's a hole in the wall thai place, and have you been to thailand? brown rice is not authentic, so just deal with some unhealthy white rice, you know it's good. This is one of my happy neighborhood places, along with Tacos Lupita and O'Sullivan's. Thai Hut recently did some re-decoration, including three four-top tables, and since we live nearby, we drop in for dinner. I'm a real fan of their salads, and of their Bee Bong (noodle salad, but in the noodle section of the menu). Fresh! And the papaya salad is decent, which is a lot more than you can say for a lot of places that shall remain nameless in this neck of the woods.... And know that the folks there are really, really nice. Btw, I've noticed that the reviewers who *don't* like Thai Hut tend to complain about what I think of as sauteed-plus-sauce dishes, so you might want to factor that into your plans. And the person who said you get your food in take-out containers? Maybe in 2006, but not now (June 2008). read more

A small takeout place, I used to live a block away and get food a lot, mostly because I was so lazy. In the two years I lived there, I found the food getting worse and worse, the servings getting smaller and smaller.
