Came here with my sister last night. Its a very casual spot. Ordered chicken satay, pad thai and panang curry. The Pad Thai is very boring, meaning its really just noodles, bean sprouts and carrots. No other veg in it at all. The panang curry which I asked to be mild was extremely spicy, so much so that I couldn't eat it. Although it was more hearty with veg and chicken I just couldn't eat it. The chicken satay never came. I'd say the portions are quite small for a thai place where you normally get a large plate of pad thai, these portions of everything were on the small side. Staff doesn't bother you while you eat, it's maybe not the prettiest place, but every person I've brought here has loved the food. Great lunch special Monday through Friday. The owner is hands on, friendly and makes you feel welcome and just short of treating you like a family member that's expected to wash the dishes. I don't pretend to be an expert on Thai cuisine but everything I've tasted is tasty and well prepared. For example, some restaurants overcook the chicken in their curry dishes and you end up feeling like you're chewing on dry shoe leather. I've never had that problem at Thai Land. I suspect the chefs in the back really know how to manage a kitchen and care about the end results. I do wish they had a bigger space but maybe if it was larger, it would be unmanageable. The staff is the star of the place. Our waitress were very friendly and accommodating even though we came in pretty much towards the later part of the evening. Everyone else checked in on us and felt very friendly. Our appertizer was gyoza and it came out hot and crunchy. For main dish we had thom yum with chicken and laab with pork. Our thom yum was great, I like it. I wish they had the little candle light at the bottom of the bowl to keep the soup warm. The laab was okay, it's not my favorite flavor profile but generally it's refreshing for a salad. I think I made a mistake of ordering 2 sour tasting dishes in one go and it's hard to beat thom yum. We came a day after Valentine's just for normal dinner and were surprised all the Valentines decor was still popping. read more

You can choose your slice level on each dish from a1-5 so everyone has varying degrees of spice. That was nice. This is a lovely Thai restaurant tucked away in Draper in a small strip mall complex. From the outside, it doesn't look like much and you'll be greeted with a hand-written sign on the door letting you know that they close from 3-5 daily. It's quaint and charming. Inside, there are a few tables and booths and subtle décor. The place smells amazing and my mouth started salivating when I walked in the door. The menu features a variety of options; a little something for everyone. Our group ordered the spring rolls, Pad Keemao with chicken, Panang Curry and Thai Orange Chicken. Everything was delicious and we had enough food that we boxed it up to enjoy again later. The prices are fair and the service was good. It is Saturday night the moon is bright, shining down it's harvest light... The parking lot is full, 730pm and the restaurant is packed. A line of 4 groups is ahead of us. Diners are eating what looks like absolutely delicious plates of food as the limited staff hustles from table to front desk to the kitchen and back. I just felt for them all. Truly giving their all and with smiles and kindness. We were seated fairly quickly considering the number of groups ahead and behind us. I'm very impressed with the hustle. Even though the place was jumping the server took our order like we were the only people there. No rushed or distracted order taking. Just polite and courteous. We ordered the shrimp rolls. It says 4 but they played more like 8. Why am I so full?!?! I also ordered fat noodles with chicken and We were supposed to share the beef fried rice but upon reflection I ate the whole plate... hahaha hilarious. . Be careful it's family style. So much food. The wait time was horrible here. We waited over one hour for our food on a Saturday night with a reservation. We understand a large party came before us however this doesn't excuse a wait over one hour for our food. Additionally, we kept being told our food was coming but never how much time so we truly never knew what the wait was. This is a quaint nothing fancy great little place tucked back in a very small version of a strip mall. Each dish is prepared fresh. Gyoza are good the shell is a little dry and the dipping sauce isn't my preference-- but not bad. The Massman Curry is good I asked for a little extra spice but didn't recognize the difference. Yes... we were hungry. Yes, we over-ordered...but we have this theory that we can always take the food home and have it for lunch the next day ("two meals in one!") My wife started with Gyoza appetizer, and I had the Thai spring rolls (the rice paper kind you can see through,) both coming with some excellent sauces! We shared Thai pork fried rice (de-lish with some smoky pork flavors coming through), and my wife ordered the Thai orange chicken. I ordered the "Pad Woon Sen," which is a delicious stir fry of glass noodles, onions, bean sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, egg....and pork. Yummy. I added some pepper oil to that and I was all set. Both of us loved our meals and took enough home for a complete lunch a few days later. Yes, with drinks it was pricey as we got out of there at $66.51 including tax (+ a generous tip.) Nevertheless, it was excellent with some top service from the wait staff. Almost a year later, and I still love coming to Thai Land. I'm telling you guys, this place is always busy during lunch hour and they just crank out food. Service is fast and food is ALWAYS fresh. Sometimes I catch myself craving for their pad thai. I guess some pad thais are drier, but I love how sauce-y this pad thai is. I love the tanginess of the sauce as well. First you have to know that I LOVE Thai food, and Thailand may be one of my new favorite places. The location is a little hidden, just off of the freeway in a small parking lot, but it is a hidden gem. Good for big, casual groups but perfect for a weekend date. We tried the beef waterfall and the crispy noodle yellow curry and both were amazing! The menu picture of the beef waterfall doesn't do it justice, it was fantastic! The perfect blend of cilantro, peanuts and pepper over thinly sliced steak. The crispy noodle curry was more of a noodle dish than most curries, but I loved it! The contrast between the crunchy noodles on top and the softer noodles below made for a fun, tasty, new find!
