Came here with a large group, we had ordered ahead of time. Still had to wait a fair amount of time, but that's ok because I'd rather have fresh food. They didn't confirm the dishes as they sat them down, which led to some folks starting to eat the wrong dish. The staff seemed kind of confused overall. The Tom yum was not very good, it had an off taste. My main dish was only ok, nothing special. I guess I'm spoiled by the quality at home. Foods are good, price are cheap, I like it. Many restaurants increased the price since covid-19, but they didn't.

Some dude gave Thai orchid a 1 star review because he was scared of the parking lot... This place is hands down the best Thai restaurant in the area... if you're scared of the dark (out of their control), stay the hell home... their pad thai and their currys are great and their appetizers are also great. read more

Reservations were made for 14 attending a birthday celebration, with those driving from the New Hampshire border area, RI and CT. They all trusted my recommending that we change the location from the Sturbridge MA Thai restaurant due to this restaurant's better rating. Boy, was I way wrong. I am so apologetic and full of regret. My standard for comparison is Bangkok Kitchen in Hyannis or Thai Lemongrass in Webster. The waiter appeared indifferent although when we arrived, only a table for two was present, replaced later by a two tables of two. Two takeout orders were also prepared. It wasn't busy by any standards.This place needs the walls and windows washed and repainted. Bathrooms were not pleasant. Atmosphere was lacking. Our appetizers and meals were brought at random times and one or two items per delivery. We all agreed that the kitchen was unable to handle our large group and I advise not going if your party is larger than 3. The flavor was bland and quite unappealing as was the meal overall. The birthday woman requested thai for her birthday. It took over two hours to get all of our meals and after we ate, we were ready to give her our presents, wrapped and bagged, btw, all gifts were obvious presents. As we were discussing what desert to order for her, the checks were given out. I went to the waiter and said, "We were going to order desserts". His reply, "Yes". "But we are disappointed as we wanted to order desserts". His reply, "Yes". He spoke English quite well, so I was blown away by his remarks and his demeanor. We opened the presents, with two waiters gazing at us, Not one waiter cleared the tables at any time during the meal or up to this point, and now they stare at us while ignoring us. A friend and I were visiting Southbridge, and we found this listing on Yelp. I ordered Tom Kha Khai and a beef salad. The Tom Kha Kai was delicious, and loaded with vegetables and chicken. It might be the best Tom Kha Kai I have ever had. The beef salad was also very good and generous. Great service, friendly staff. I would definitely go back to Thai Orchid. A great find! read more

Picked up some take out while staying at the conference center down the street. Called in an order for chicken pad Thai, which was ready by the time I made the walk down the street. Food was good and so inexpensive ($7 for lunch). Inside of the restaurant was nicer than I had expected based on the outside of the building. A fantastic place you don't want to pass up. All of the meals I have had are vegetarian/vegan so based on that they have all been delicious. The owners and staff are super friendly and eager to cater to your requests. I love the fact that they will change the menu around to suit vegan/vegetarians. If you don't like spicy or like really spicy, no problem, they can prepare it however you prefer. The prices are very reasonable for a good amount of food. I love their thai iced coffee and thai ice tea. Overall a very clean friendly family run buisness. I go here regularly at least once a week. I live in Southbridge and I was a bit skeptical of this restaurant mainly because it's located in Southbridge. I really really love Thai food so I decided to give it a try and it was delightful. I ordered spicy basil noodle and my boyfriend got the normal pad thai. The food was the freshest and best tasting Thai food I have ever had. I have gone back at least 10 more times and the food is always fresh and always delicious. I suggest ordering the thai squash curry. It is probably the best thing I have ever had! read more

I had never had Thai food before so I decided to give this place a try and I wasn't a fan of the food. The atmosphere and employees were great. The man at the front desk was sweet and spoke good English. The menu was creative and even their drinks. I had the duck tamarin and there was like 2 pieces of duck, and it was dry... Which is odd cause duck is normally moist due to all the fat. I also had the coconut shrimp which was awful.. It tasted frozen and it was chewy and rough. And it came with no complimenting sauce.. I finished with the Thai iced tea which I saw on yelp and looked delicious. However, it was strange. I just wasn't a fan overall. The previous reviews led me here. I'm out from of town and was looking for lunch. The food is super fresh and flavorful. I'm not well versed on Thai food so my server answered a few basic questions that helped. My friend and I stopped by for lunch recently. It wasn't busy but it was our first time here as well. We ordered the fresh spring rolls and beef pho! I kind of wish there was a little bit more of the noodles but overall, the food was delicious. I also ordered the Thai ice coffee and Thai tea and I loved the way they made it. Amazing Thai food, make it as spicy as you want but this place is for real great Thai food

Had an excellent assortment of dishes from soups, to appetizers, rice, noodles, and curry. We like to cover all our bases when we try a place for the first time. Everything was served super hot and fresh. Favorites of the meal were the Coconut Shrimp, the Panang Curry, the Pineapple fried rice and the Pad Thai. Prices are reasonable enough so you can definately order a good variety (plus leftovers are great the next day). Big plus: BYOB. But the Thai Iced Tea did look good. read more

Great price good food. Excellent customer service. Food is a bit on the sweet side . I know Thai cooking is a little sweet , but this is a little more sweeter than the norm . I know because I'm a cook myself . You can prob ask them o make. A little les sweet. Thai tea was awesome perfect not too sweet but perfect ! The noodle pho soup was a little sweet . I don't think pho soup should have any sugar in it . The pad see eww and pad Thai was sweet also but still tasty . Just put some soy sauce to balance out the sweetness , not too much because t can be salty . Just ask less sweet I guess . Great service and cheap prices good food read more
