Drunken noodles and Thai fried rice with shrimp

First of all, if you drive to fast on Socastee Blvd, you will definitely miss this place. What a nice family jem they have here. Great Thai, with all the spice levels you might want. Including actually no spice, as my wife prefers. Of course I am on the complete opposite side of that when it comes to spice and you will not be disappointed. Portions are more than adequate. Great array of beers and yes, they do have cocktails as well. The dining room is on the small side, so if you go when they first open, you shouldn't have a problem. They do take reservations, so that way you can lock in a table. Because this is a family restaurant, expect a little wait for your main course as everything is pretty much made fresh. But any wait is well worth the time. The Garden rolls actually came as an order of 8. But they looked so yummy we couldn't wait to try them.

The food was delicious and plentiful. Everything was made to order. We were advised that their spicy was on the very spicy side, so we ordered mild and glad we did. The mild had a pretty decent kick.

I've been to all the Thai places here and this one is worth it. Make sure you call about wait times. The food is incredible.

The food was amazing! I will 100% be returning to Thai Palms. We had the drunken noodles and red curry!

I was so disappointed in this place…read more We came here so we can get something different then the local like normal tourist trap places. So we called and ordered our food. Tom ka and Tom ka guy. We also then ordered chicken nuggets and fries for my toddler, pad Thai with beef and curry with chicken. Well the bill was 88 dollars. I brought the food home. I opened my bag and noticed my soup was missing the broth. Well it was ajar open after it was placed on its side with my other foods. Whoever packed it was not good in the service industry and put my entire order in 1 bag. So i had to pour my liquid out of my bag back into my soup. I was furious. The soup wasn't even great. Not that tasty kinda bland. A let down. I then tasted the tom ka. Ehhh nothing to write home about. The pad Thai with beef was so chewy ! It had cartilage and gristle. The curry was good. We called to complain. The lady said come in to get a new item. I wasn't driving back 20 min for a soup. Overall, so disappointing. I don't know who gave this place 5 stars. Maybe people who don't eat Thai food all the time or been to Thailand. But this was not authentic. Oh yeah chicken nuggets were soggy and so were the fries.

We were almost the only ones in the restaurant for a time but when more came in she had a hard time keeping up with everything. But still she did very well. They have a nice variety of Thai curries and sushi. I love nigiri and they had a really nice variety to choose from. I tried the Tuna, Salmon, Octopus and Spicy Scallop Nigiri. The only thing I will say is that the nigiri is a little pricy. I had 8 pieces and it ended up being about $30 before tax and tip. They were big pieces but that is also difficult because you are supposed to eat them in one bite. My friends had the drunken noodles and the yellow Thai curry. Both were a big hit. I would definitely come back and try this place again and experience more of the options available.

We went here during their happy hour window and tried a few different items. We ordered the grouper fries and Key West sushi from the happy hour menu and roti canai, as well as a few sashimi from their regular menu. The food was absolutely delicious. The sushi and sashimi were fresh and flavorful. The staff was friendly, and food was served pretty quickly as well. As for the ambiance, the place is quite cozy, and they do have bar seating as well.
