Don't really ever leave reviews, but been ordering take out every other dayish last few weeks, and this is such a perfect place. $13 for a decent variety of dishes (thai basil, drunken noodles, pad thai are my faves), and very generous with portion sizes, even in their appetizers. Easily enough food for a day. I also like their tea and rolls, but haven't had tried too many. Order online, order ahead, food ready fairly quickly, nice service, vegetarian/vegan friendly, really a good place for anyone that likes Thai food. Only *very* mild complaint is that the ordering is through beyondmenu, which I know can be kinda annoying with their cuts. I really wanted to like this place, but the terrible service I experienced will make this my first and last time dining here. This place is extremely understaffed, and I tried to look past this small inconvenience. The biggest disappointment came from the fact that the staff completely prioritized all their Grubhub orders over the customers who dined in at the restaurant. We witnessed probably 20+ orders fulfilled for food couriers and phone call orders before ours were served. It was obvious that the owner was overwhelmed by all the orders, but they need to prioritize the dining in customers, since we are the ones actually giving tips directly to the restaurant. Furthermore the kitchen staff did not speak the same language as the owner, so they were of little help to the busy owner. We went there for lunch, and there was only one other person there. After that person left, it was just me and my friend in an empty restaurant, which is saying something. This is my new favorite Thai place in Denver. Seriously, there's absolutely nothing about this place that I dislike, and a LOT to be said for it. Let me make one thing clear- I make my own Thai food. I'm talkin' hand-ground spices in a mortar and pestle. Masaman with freshly toasted star anise pulped. Green curry with chiles and basil fresh from H-Mart. I know my shit, so my opinion holds some weight here. :) I've been eating Thai Food in Denver for a minute, and my tastes have definitely evolved. Let me just tell you- these people make it like it's supposed to be. I ordered Tom Kee soup, Tod mun fishcakes, and Masaman curry with chicken. I'ma start with the soup: perfectly seasoned- at medium spicy it was perfect for my whiteboy sensibilities. Little bit of sweat, but I wasn't diving into the rice to soothe my gullet, either. And let me tell you a little something special about the soup- THEY USE REAL KAFFIR LIME LEAVES IN THEIR SOUPS. If you've never cooked Thai food, you have NO idea what a rare treat this is. Take it from me- Kaffir lime leaves are HARD to come by, even from H-Mart, and these people were using them like it weren't no thang. And then... at the very bottom of the soup, nice little chunks of stewed galnagal. That's not something you find in your neighborhood restaurant. Fershizzle. The tod mun was NICE.Slightly spongy but with a nice crispness on the outside. Great dipping sauce, too- slivers of cucumbers all up in it- you gotsta taste it to believe it. And the curry- let me tell you- it was so good that I had to eat it like a soup. Nice texture, not like the watered-down curries that I've been having lately. Delicious flavor, perfectly proportioned pieces of poultry, and apparently more than a fair bit of alliteration. I'm not kidding when I tell you that I ate it like a soup, just spooning it right into my maw. The people who own this restaurant are really pleasant. Very authentic thai cuisine! I came with some girl friends after work one night and was surprised to find the restaurant fairly empty. Most people get takeout since there is limited seating within the restaurant. I would say the biggest group it can accommodate is around 4 or 5 so don't bring your parties here. I ordered the spring roll because I was really hungry. This is the only restaurant I have been to that only gives you one spring roll instead of two which always ends up being too much. Obviously they only charge for the price of one but it's good to have that option since it will still allow me to enjoy my entree. I ordered the pad see ew level hot. It was a good level of spicy probably translate to a true mild. The portions are decent as I even had enough to take home for lunch the next day. I first started coming here with my boyfriend. He was already a regular, coming here at least weekly. The nicest little lady of a waitress has his order memorized - sesame chicken, spicy hot. He gets it every time, and I can see why - I would say it's the best in Denver. I mix it up every time we go together, and I haven't been disappointed. From the Pa Nang curry to Kung pao chicken, we've always been impressed. I can easily say Thai Pan is one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. I always recommend dining in if possible. The sweet little waitress is one of the best parts! She always is quick and smiling. Since it is so locally owned and ran, they can be a bit slow with delivery! I have had times where I've ordered delivery and it had taken a little too long where it also compromised the food - so I urge everyone to try this gem in person. :) Edit: almost three years later and this place is STILL our favorite! read more

This was our first visit for lunch. They were located on E Mississippi Ave/S Colorado Blvd in Denver in a small strip mall. The tables had pretty Thai placemats and matching coasters. I presented my $15 Restaurant.com coupon that I bought in March and the server said that they no longer accept them. There was not a posted sign on the door. The lunch entrees came with soup or salad and a Thai Roll. My husband ordered the Egg Drop Soup. It had corn in it. I ordered the salad. It came with a soy ginger dressing on the side. My husband ordered the Chicken Pad Thai ($6.95). The noodles were a little over cooked and the sauce was a little too sweet. The amount of peanuts was skimpy. I ordered the Pork Massaman Curry Thai Hot ($7.25). The flavor was good, but it was no where near Thai Hot. It was more like medium. The curry had cubes of potatoes, a few whole peanuts, sliced onions, and carrots. The pork was okay, but chicken probably would have tasted better. The fried Thai Roll was about 7-8 inches long. It was piping hot. It was vegetarian and came with a sweet and sour sauce. We were given a small dish of complimentary dessert. It was almond jello and fruit. Service was good. Usually I try to come up with something creative to write in my reviews - something that will best convey how I feel about a place. But alas, my creative juices are sapped when it comes to Thai Pan. A mediocre Asian restaurant with good, attentive service but blah food. Thai Pan replaces Mi Zupa, a small soup place which never got off the ground. The interior looks basically the same - even the soda machine is in the same place - furniture and decorations have been updated to match the Asian theme. The food - "spicy" hot sour and soup is neither spicy, hot nor sour although the mushrooms had a nice flavor. I will give them credit for the soup not having a ton of corn starch to thicken - instead it's mainly a thin broth. My cashew chicken is tasty but nothing special. Pieces of white meat, some onions and green peppers, cashews (which didn't appear to be toasted), canned water chestnuts in a heavy brown sauce. The crispy spring roll was tasty but a little too greasy. At the end of the meal, our server brought us a bowl of tapioca in coconut milk. Bright green tapioca, coconut milk and corn kernels (??) - this was just a very strange concoction that tasted mostly like gooey coconut milk. Blah. read more

I've eaten here twice now. It's a super convenient Thai place for me, because I have to drive past it to get home from work. My first experience was delightful! I ordered take out pad thai, and it lasted me three meals! Yumm! It was delicious, and if it wasn't for my second experience I would be giving Thai Pan 5 stars. My second experience was good, but not quite what I remembered. This time I got the calamari salad.. I guess I should have known better, and ordered something that I knew. This place looked like a hole in the wall and made the wife and I super excited!! Entering in the building, the food smelled amazing and looked soo good from what I could see others order! Coming from Texas where the Thai food is pretty amazing, I was anxious to find some good Thai here in Colorado. We were promoted to sit down at a table and given menus. We waited several minutes before I finally just got up and made my order at the counter. We ordered the Thai basil with shrimp, an extra order of rice and the Thai rolls. We waited roughly about 20-25 minutes for our food to come. When it finally came my nose was hit with a smell good and bad. I know they use fish sauce in the dish so perhaps their sauce was a little more pungent than what I'm use to. Unfortunately, the smell took the taste of the food as well. It was hard to eat the sauce with the veggies. Thank goodness there wasn't much sauce or broth to smother the veggies anyway. On the positive side, the veggies were fresh and crunchy and the jasmine rice was good too. Oh and the Thai rolls were amazing! The size and price was pretty worth it. I was sad I only ordered one for myself. I planned to order more to go but the service was already bad enough with me refilling our waters and having to go and wait 25 more minutes just to pay our tab. Unfortunately, I will not be back. Parking lot can be a little difficult to navigate... Getting into it from the street and due to size of the lot. Small shopping center with a few shops . The Thai place is really cute and authentic feeling inside. The servers were very friendly and helpful. We ordered the Thai rolls ( amazing price ... 99 cents for one.) And they were SO good. My husband got red curry and I got the panang curry . He thought his was a little too spicy for him . I LOVE spice and mine was fine but his had more heat. It was really reasonable prices and good food. They were super generous to check and see if we wanted more rice with our meal. This is a small restaurant located in a strip mall. I've driven past it thousands of times. I was hungry one Sunday and there were good Yelp reviews and I was on Colorado Boulevard. I went inside and looked at the menu. I placed my order and waited for the food to be cooked. There were at least 4-6 tables that sat 4 people and 4-6 bar tables that sat 2 people. It's not so small as many past reviews indicate. Perhaps they added more seating? Now, I get my to go order, drive home and am ready for my massamun curry, my favorite! There's no rice. Say what? I looked through everything (vegetarian pad thai for the man, plus a vegetarian egg roll and a Thai spring roll with shrimp). Nope, no rice anywhere. I called back to the restaurant and explained my missing rice predicament and told them I'd drive right back to pick it up and please have the rice ready upon my arrival. Once I drive back there, the cashier kept apologizing and I told her it was fine. I waited another couple of minutes and she handed me a small to go container and I took it and left. Once I got home, I looked at the container and realized they gave me very little rice. Arrgh! However, the massamun curry was in a large plastic tube, same as what Chinese restaurants serve soup in. It was huge. I ordered a mild curry, but this was actually spicy. But man it was so good. I can handle a tiny bit of spice, but I killed this curry. But I wasn't sure it was because it was good or because I was so hungry by this point. I ended up having enough curry leftovers for two more lunch meals. Crazy! Even though the restaurant got my order kind of wrong and gave me literal crumbs of rice to portion out over three meals, it was some of the best massamun curry I've had in ages. And the man really enjoyed his pad thai and he's super picky, so we'll be back. LOL read more
