The mix of spice and lime elevated the coconut broth. I like that I was able to choose the spice level. The Tom Kha was served as a soup only which I was able to finish on my own. This could easily be a shareable dish if served with rice or if looking to kick up the comfort-food level a notch. Hey Bangkok! is clean, with plenty of seating, and the employees were kind and friendly. They checked on me several times to ensure I was comfortable and had all I needed to enjoy my meal. Love the decoration here with Thai street foods vibe made me feel like I went back home in Bangkok. I enjoy all vintage posters & hip wood ceiling. Our server pay attention to details & gave very prompt service. My boyfriend eat Thai hot & he compliment that they actually cook Thai hot for his pad krapow & he absolutely enjoy his dish. I ordered chicken & rice and I think it is very good portion for $ & very tasty as well. I deducted one star because I wishes they have more seasonal menu rotation, so I can try something new when I come visit here. The menu is pretty limited in my view. This location on Alameda Ave was formely the original Swing Thai in Denver. Back in 2020, the owners decided to convert it to street food model with only 12 choices. It is still here. There are 2 other Swing Thai locations on Colorado Blvd & Tennyson St with larger menus. I started with the Thai boneless fried chicken with a bottle of Blue Moon Belgian White beer. Lots more chicken that I expected for $12. A dipping sauce (thousand island?) was provided. The menu said the beer was $5.50 but the bill said $5. Next was Drunken Noodles with fried tofu. Also a larger serving for $18. First time eating drunken noodles. Nice fat rice noodles. I asked for Hot, but it was not too spicy. My server, Bussayaporn P kept my water glass filled. He paced out the courses, so the bowl of noodles came out after I finished the chicken. I then got the only dessert, Mango & Sticky Rice. Hot Sticky rice with coconut milk & cold sliced mango. Hey Bangkok! A little restaurant where you'll see a steady stream of people coming in and out, grabbing to-go orders. You'll also see the smiles on the few servers helping the people dining in. The food was tasty and great. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and some fried tofu. The Pad Thai was great, while the tofu was good but lacking compared to other locations. But for the price, the food was delicious, with a large portion and was quick to the table. Unfortunately, the leftovers didn't hold up that well, so eat all you can while eating it fresh. read more

In Denver for a long weekend and meeting one of our twin's friends, who recently moved to Denver. Hey Bangkok is a small, quaint restaurant in a local neighborhood. Parking is a real challenge. The restaurant is small, perhaps serving 30 people. They have a loyal following and a good take-away service. We were quickly seated. We ordered the fried vegetable rolls with dipping sauce, pad Thai and drunken noodle with chicken and medium spice. The food arrived quickly and was hot. The vegetable rolls were flavorful, hot and accompanied with a good dipping. The pad Thai was colorful, bland and lacked flavor. The drunken noodles had a scant amount of sauce and were dry. To be honest, Hey Bangkok is a quick Thai haunt. They have a loyal following and good take-away service. The food is reasonably priced and fulfills a certain spot in the Denver dining scene. I don't feel the need to return to Hey Bangkok. They are not trying to be something they are not, a quick take-away dining option. Stumbled on this place while looking for some food. It has a dedicated parking lot which is really nice for this area. The menu isn't large but the offerings hit the spot. I got the drunken noodles in spice level "mild" with tofu and my husband got the Thai chicken soup in spice level "hot". The drunken noodles was packed with veggies alongside the tofu, noodle, and egg and were cooked to perfection. The mild spice level was perfect for me. The soup bowl was large and my husband loves spicy food and the hot level was perfect for him, spicy but not overbearing. He said the flavors were balanced and the meal was comforting and filling. Service was super fast and there was a decent amount of seating for the small restaurant. The whole mean had pictures of all the food which was helpful if there was a dish you had never heard of. I was greeted immediately and given water and a menu, and ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp. The menu is small but the selection seemed to have a good variety of choices. The food came out within 5 minutes of me sitting down and the portion size was great! There were a good amount of toppings and they did not skimp on the amount of shrimp either! A cool Thai restaurant located on the corner of Alameda and Pennsylvania, this is a great place to stop in or order takeout. Tried this spot for lunch today with some friends who recommended it. I got the Pad Gra Pow which was super flavorful, full of flavor, and my friends got the Kaw Soy Curry and the Drunken Noodles. Got take out from Hey Bangkok and was disappointed with all of the amazing reviews. The veggie spring rolls are great. Large and super filling. You can tell they are homemade. I guess the biggest disappointment was the portion size for take out. $17 and $18 for shrimp fried rice (which was good) but a small portion for the price. The drunken noodles were less to be desired. The noodles were chopped up, not long. It made the texture taste mushy and not a lot of flavor in my opinion. The food: fantastic. The speed at which it was served: impressive. Service with a smile? Hardly. The waiter had a definite persona. It was gruff. Perhaps I should be the one serving you, sir? If that was the only metric to judge this place, it would have pulled two out of five stars. Thankfully, the outstanding meals tilted the average to three. The pad kra pow here is very authentic. Honestly this is the best dish on the menu! Loved that they mince the meat and give you the fried egg. Also ordered the Kao Mun Gai. Unfortunately for me that missed the mark. The white meat was dry. Recommend sticking to the dark meat. Sauce that came with it is also pretty authentic and the chicken broth is flavorful. Price is pretty average for Thai food these days. One thing though, I wish the chili fish sauce came with the meal. But this place charges $1.50 on top of the pad kra pow. read more

After a day of snow tubing in Frisco, I needed something savory and hot to warm up my insides. And what better way to bring in some heat than with Thai food? It felt like sitting in a sidewalk cafe in Bangkok, truly. Our server immediately greeted us and asked us to sit anywhere. He graciously brought water and menus, and not even 10 minutes went by before taking our order. Before I knew it, I was munching on the veggie rolls. With the sauce, it was a great way to start the meal. And these were NOT frozen. Perfect! My Pad Thai soon arrived and was hot off the pan. It was perfectly portioned, with just the right amount of sprouts, carrots, and green onion for my personal taste. The noodles were chewy and delicious. The chicken was fresh and cooked well. I have no complaints. I inhaled it after enjoying the first few bites! My son ordered the chicken platter, and I had a bite of that, and WHOA. It's definitely worth ordering next time. His chicken platter came with a side salad; I just can't recall which one it was. It was delicious but maybe a bit too overly dressed. I imagine combining it with the rice would've cut down on the powerfulness of the dressing, but it was still very fresh and tasty. We got here as this place opened and there was no one in the restuarant. Its a smaller restuarant and started to fill up as we were finishing up with our food. Service was good to start because we were the only table. There was only one server taking orders and serving food so when the restuarant got busier we had to wait to get boxes and our check, but the server was very nice and let us know that she may be a minute. The menu is not super big so it was't overwhelming and super easy to decide what to get. We ordered the chicken pad thai, chicken pad gra pow, and tom kha soup. We ordered the hot on a level of mild, medium, hot, extra hot. The tom kha soup was really good! It had lots of veggies in it and had a good coconut flavor and sourness of the classic tom kha. Not the most sour tom kha I have had, but I think it was well balanced. The pad thai that we ordered "hot" was not spicy at all. I had to put a lot of chili flakes in it to get to the level of spicy I wanted so I would reccommend getting extra hot if you like spicy food. Their pad thai is on the sweeter side so if you like that then you will really like the pad thai. Lots of oil was leftover on the plate that the pad thai came in. LOTS of oil. The pad kra paw was pretty standard as well and came with an egg. The ambiance of this place is more quick casual vibes and they have a very convenient to go window on the outside of the restuarant. I love when places offer small menus and cater towards more street food and things you would see locally. The staff here are great and very friendly. The food here is amazing and would definitely come back! The fried tofu was chef's kiss. The light and fluffy batter was out of this world. It was very light and almost pillowy to the bite. It was such a delight! The fried chicken was was more of a cutlet and then battered and cut into pieces. I highly recommend it since it's fried chicken with a Thai twist. If you haven't checked out Hey Bangkok, consider this your sign. Hey Bangkok is a quaint Thai place with a basic menu full of authentic Thai dishes you've gotta try for yourself! As someone who is indecisive af when it comes to picking what to eat, a simple menu is just what I need. Protein or no protein, you have the choice of adding tofu, chicken, or shrimp to any dish. We started with the egg rolls and fried chicken -- both were hot, crispy, and delicious. And for the rest of our order? No complaints! I'm always a Pad Thai gal, but the Pad See Yew was toooooo good. The noodles were chewy and full of umami flavor. I've never had Pad Gra Pow, but it's one of my new favorites! It's the perfect protein + rice dish for anyone not feeling noodles. The Kaw Soy Curry is always a great curry option. The portion sizes are large, so I'd recommend getting a handful of dishes and share them family style. The atmosphere was bright and energetic and our server was incredibly kind and on top of it! They're located in a smaller space, so keep this in mind if you're planning on dining in.
