Like the food but I'm a big fan of potstickers and their potstickers don't taste great. I feel lukewarm they order them frozen but I dont know that yo be true they just are not very and I'd bet money they come out if a box and frozen. Love lots of other fishes though so it's ok. Best Thai food in town! Portions are generous. The food is consistently delicious. I'm not usually a tofu person, but they have the amazing tofu! Tofu pad thai is 10/10. The beef satay and peanut sauce is a family favorite as well. My daughter literally licks her plate to get every last drop of peanut sauce. Did not know this place was here in the same shopping center as where I get my hair done but asked a local if they had any good suggestions for lunch and they suggested this place. Great time ! It was my first Thai restaurant experience ! I was very happy ! It was me and a friend came to enjoy this restaurant around 6pm on a Wednesday . It was empty when we walked up . I was worried but my friend assured me it was busy with ToGo Orders ! Which was hard to believe but I went with it . We sat down and got some drinks and ordered the pot stickers appetizer . Started figured out what to order . She wanted the pad Thai with a little spice and I wanted the Pad Prik King. The portions are so big and there is a lot of menu to look through so we chose to share the items rather then chose individual items. To be able to each enjoy as much menu as possible ! Plus we each had a empty plate in front of us so it was a perfect sharing setup. we also got pot stickers! when we chose our menu items we both wanted a little spicy with the Pad Prik King and the shrimp Pad Thai but not a lot spicy and the women who was helping us said no problem. When we got the food we were pleasantly surprised with the spice! It was the perfect amount! the flavor of everything individually and combined was magnificent ! we used the empty plates and took a little bit of the white rice and Pad Thai with the Pad Prik King over it ! it was so good all together! the spicy wasn't a long term spicy by the time I was done eating the spice was gone. It did not linger around and continue to burn! It was there and then gone! we were at the restaurant maybe an hour and a half or two in that time there was about 8-10 ToGo orders. As we were walking out of the restaurant more people were pulling up to pickup ToGo orders. They are definitely busy forsure a togo spot. they still do a great time in person as well! for my first time I was very very happy and surprised to find that I enjoyed this ! I could make a joke about how this place put me through hell, spice wise, but it really is a paradise. Okay, "joke" made. A small spot but as the sign says on their door: "Real Thai Food", I became convinced. The tables are small so had to sit at an angle to give myself enough room. Probably a better (and more common) option is to order ahead and dine out. We all got waters and I got a thai iced tea with boba. Half of my glass was ice so I'd let them know less ice if you order this. It was $3.95 which wasn't bad. I got their summer rolls with shrimp as an appetizer and they were great! Not too much vermicelli like some places and the peanut sauce was delicious. Add a bit of the table sauce (dark, chunky, oily, and deadly) and it's a nice way to start the meal. I got my go-to, pad thai with tofu, 4/5 spice level. It was good, a large amount that I happily packed up at the end of our dinner. I tried the spicy shrimp and eggplant with chicken entrees and they were flavorful as well. Service was fine and there were a handful of pickup orders coming in as we dined. read more

This is a pleasant, family run Thai place that my wife and I visited for lunch today. It's decorated in a very warm, down to earth style and has a relaxed vibe to it. My wife had the Yellow curry lunch special with chicken and I had the Red curry with chicken. Both curries were served with salad and rice. The amount of food served was filling. My only minor comment is because I lived in Thailand I would have liked my red curry to be spicier. The woman who owns the restaurant said to be sure to tell her ahead of time and she'll be happy to do that. I'll be happy to come back here again. It's a very nice restaurant. read more

The mango sticky rice is the reason I want to go to this place nearly every week. It just tastes like the real Thai food, same as the one I ate in Thai before. It just an perfect combination with a bit salty and sweet flavors. The coconut glaze on top is everything, and the fresh mango is so juicy, soooo fresh and sweet! The grill chicken is also very good, smells like Thai local street food, but in a good way! It just like what I ate in Bangkok The catfish reminds me about Chengdu, China, my hometown. It's maybe a little bit spicy for most of the people, but I think it's pretty good. They fried the fish first, and stir fried it with spice sauce. read more

Just ate at this small but very cute (if you can get past the $89 old screen door that looks like it was taken off a 1965 mobile home and the dropped ceiling). Spotless inside and the cleanest restrooms in the state. Had the fried calamari (which is our go-to at most restaurants. Huge plate of perfectly cooked squid obviously homemade not those useless small rounds that came from the box. Went on to the curried duck and the special seafood medley plate. Those who mentioned poor value, high prices obviously don't understand food costs in this era. Both portions generous and perfectly prepared. Spices dead on, pleasing to the eye and just right. I'm a sucker for Thai food and I'm always trying to find good places in OC. Looking for take-out, we decided on Thai Paradise because it was pretty close to where we were. Called ahead of time for pick-up and it took about 20-30 minutes for our food to be ready. So piping hot that my legs got pretty red carrying the bag on my lap on the way back home (0/10 would not recommend lol). Perfect for the rainy days. PARKING: Despite the location being rather small, this complex looks recently renovated. The entrance to Thai Paradise isn't directly next to their lot. The lot is to the side of the building and we walked out to go inside. Since we are in quarantine times, we waited outside the restaurant (with a bottle of hand sanitizer provided on a table) for our food to be handed to us. Very efficient and fast. Looked like we weren't the only ones trying to get Thai take-out. FOOD: Traditional family-owned Thai food place that offers soups, curries, noodles, desserts, and rice dishes. Not the most extensive menu I've seen, but smart to have a more limited menu to reduce food waste. You're not going to find a lot of creative twists here. Seems like most of their food has the same base and you can choose your protein (from cheapest to most expensive): chicken, pork, beef, tofu; shrimp & squid; scallop. I think their food hit the spot for my Thai food craving, but I wasn't really blown away. - PAD SEE EW (with beef): Standard pad see ew. The noodles and beef were stir-fried well. The ratio of toppings to noodles was good. Not overly salty. Nothing to write home about. - PANANG CURRY (with chicken): Comes with a side of rice. At first, I was skeptical by the amount if I was going to get full. But with a large amount of rice given (as much as the curry packaged separately), I was stuffed. I found the curry to be flavorful and rich, but skimpy on the number of vegetables inside. Spicy, just the way I like it. - TOM KAR (with chicken) size S: A small was the perfect size to share between the two of us. It has a good balance between coconut milk and lime juice. Love the sweet and sour taste. Did think it could have been better with more chicken inside and the consistency was a little thin too me (more chicken broth? than coconut milk) A small tom kha came in the same size container as my panang curry. Not spicy. PRICE: A tad overpriced. For the quality and amount they serve, and for Thai food in general. Dinner with these three orders of food cost closer to $35. They don't bulk up their food with a ton of fillers like rice and noodles but didn't find a ton of protein or veggies in their curry or soup. Flavors are on point. I think pricing $12 per entree is a little much for their food. If they priced their food $2-3 cheaper or gave larger portions, I would say the food is worth it. Overall: I think Thai Paradise is pretty solid Thai spot for take-out. There isn't a ton of Thai food places in OC and I enjoy supporting mom-and-pop restaurants like these. I do think they need to evaluate their pricing and food quality. I get that rent is high, but I think there are other Thai food places of better quality for the same price in the area. read more
