It was a decent place for Chinese/asian food. Plenty of tables available on a Saturday evening. Service was friendly and the food came out very fast. We ordered the tofu in brown sauce, egg rolls, chow fun and peppered steak. We thought that the tofu in brown sauce as well as the peppered steak were the best from among the dishes. The peppered steak was pretty tender but not sure if it was worth $30. The ratio of steak pieces to the veggies was off, too little steak compared to all the onions that were on the plate. The only item I wouldn't recommend is the egg rolls. It was just ok, took a few bites and didn't touch it again. I would say it is a good option if you're in the area and craving Asian food. Everyone seemed friendly and the ambience overall was good.

If you're looking for Chinese food in Dana Point, The Little Kitchen Asia Cafe is probably the best option in the area. Prices are high, but dining out is expensive in DP. During the weekdays, they have lunch specials from $14.99-$16.99, including rice and either hot and sour soup or salad. Unfortunately we were there on holiday, so the lunch specials were not available. We ordered moo shu chicken ($16.99), beef with broccoli ($18.99), tofu in brown sauce ($17.99) and honey walnut shrimp ($22.99). Everything was fine, passable for Chinese food in this area of OC. Portions are on the small side, given the price. Lots of parking in the lot.

I was craving some Chinese food and went straight to yelp to see what my options are and I stumbled across The Little Kitchen Asian Cafe. I saw it was one of the higher rated Chinese food places in my area and had to give it a shot, I now know why it's rated so highly! I got my food to go and it was delicious, super fresh, and very flavorful! The service was amazing; the woman who helped was very attentive and had a great attitude while helping me. The restaurant was clean and the ambiance was very nice. Overall 10/10 and will be

Average food. Some of it doesn't even seem homemade. I'm specifically referring to the Egg Foo Young. It comes with several identical thin discs of egg. Then whatever meat you choose is placed on top. Other places bake in the meat into the eggs. It comes with a nice bold gravy but then it gets very tiny from the watery vegetables. However it does come with quite a variety of vegetables. The egg rolls are also your standard variety. Rather small and also mushy inside. The orange chicken is fine but there were some tough pieces in it. The server seems exhausted and transactional.

Orange chicken - allegedly white meat.

Paid extra for white meat only orange chicken. I've ordered it in the past at least 8 times. This order looked and tasted like thigh meat. I called to ask if there was a mistake and was told it was white meat but it may have been overcooked. The person on the phone was very rude. Perhaps it was overcooked because it was tough and chewy and in small hard pieces. We had to throw half of it away. Their chow mein is also very greasy and lacks flavor.

Summary: flavorful Kitchen's chicken, disappointing Mongolian beef, mediocre green beans, and plenty of parking We stopped by The Little Kitchen Asian Cafe for lunch since my kids were hangry and we couldn't make it to another restaurant farther away. On a Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was empty. We ordered hot and sour soup, Kitchen's chicken, Mongolian beef, and stir-fried green beans. The hot and sour soup had a little chicken, but lacked spiciness and had only a light sourness. However, they provided pepper on the table to add to taste. Kitchen's chicken was similar to soy sauce sticky chicken and came with broccoli -- absolutely flavorful and a favorite among my kids. The Mongolian beef was disappointing: over-seasoned, not properly velveted, hence, some pieces were tougher than others. The stir-fried green beans were mediocre. While the beans were crunchy, the sauce was strange. It seemed like green beans and garlic was stir-fried, then cornstarch and water were used to thicken the oil, leaving white lumps on the beans. Typical Asian service -- not an issue for us. Parking was plentiful during lunchtime.

Been here a few times. Solid American Chinese Restaurant in the Dana Point area. Everything I've tried was tasty and they use breast chicken. Good Shrimp with Walnut Sauce Chicken with Sizzling Rice Just ok Pan fried noodles - too little noodles and too much sauce Service is slow and could be friendlier. Seating not so comfortable. Still better than most in area.

There's ample parking, and reservations aren't required. The ambiance is simple and clean. We were promptly seated in a booth by a friendly waiter who explained the menu before leaving. We ordered the chicken soup and kitchen beef, and both exceeded our expectations in terms of flavor and quantity. Throughout our meal, the restaurant was bustling with customers, and the phone rang constantly. The sheer number of takeout orders indicated that the food was truly popular. I highly recommend this location.

Then went with our server's recommendation and got the spicy shrimp wontons, the rib bone soup and the picanha fried rice. Everything had so much flavor and they all were co complimenting; it was the perfect bite every time no matter what I shoved my chopped sticks in. Was kind of quiet on the Wednesday night I was there but very cute and casual which was exactly what I was looking for after a long day at work. Finished off with a lychee martini and called it a night BUT will most certainly be back to try more (heard a lot of good things about the Saltado fry dishes).
