Decent Thai food but not consistent. First time I ordered was good, second time less so but again, decent for the area.

What a great place so calm and tranquil with all the decorations manager is a very nice man took really good care of us and my son doesn't like overly spicy food. I got the Pattye my wife got drunken noodle it was awesome I highly recommend the bubble tea also. We had the red curry with chicken and the drunken noodles with beef and both were excellent. We also had a mango vegetarian dish which was good. The server was very attentive to our needs. The prices were very reasonable. We're looking forward to coming back to try some other dishes. As noted by others, the number of tables is limited. We decided to try this place for a quick lunch with our daughter. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The owner made a special noodle vegetable soup for our 3 year old and even brought her out a special plate to cool her vegetables. The Thai iced coffee was delicious and all the soups were fresh and tasty. We got the spicy basil chicken and the drunken noodles. The portions were huge. So good. We will definitely be back, especially because our daughter loved the vegetable soup so much. Great new place read more

Honestly I rarely give five stars to a restaurant and one can argue that I should give 4. I love Thai food. I have had it in many cities. Thai Pepper is small with at most 17 seats. Nevertheless the owner/waitress was kind and attentive. Noticing that a table of 10 was about to order she said why don't u put ur order in before that big table...the Tom yong gong (shrimp) was excellent. My go to spicy basil with chicken was excellent. The owners were fine with byob! The food and service was excellent, the restaurant small, but most importantly u can tell that the family owners CARE and want u to have a good experience...therefore although the restaurant is small I feel they deserve 5 stars for effort and the food! I don't write bad reviews often, and I take this very seriously, but my experience was so bad tonight that I just had to let people know. I drove 30 minutes from NY to have dinner with my children who were craving Thai food. Their Yelp page says they're open until 9:30 on a Monday. Their website says they are open until 9PM on a Monday night. Their Google My business site says they are open until 9PM on a Monday night. We arrived at 8:20. We were told "Sorry the dining room closes tonight at 8:30, we want to leave early, but you can do take out". (Again, we were there at 8:20 PM) I told the hostess that we just drove all the way from NY, a 30 minute drive to try their restaurant, and when I asked why does it say you serve until 9:30 PM on Yelp, and 9PM on your website and on your Google My Business Page the woman again replied, "we want to leave early tonight, but you can do take out". There were still other people dining in the restaurant too, that were clearly nowhere near done with their dinner. So, with two hungry children in tow, I ordered takeout. 3 small soups, 1 pad thai, and two drunken noodles. Almost $70. VERY Small portions and "average" at best food, and that's being generous. What a HUGE disappointment on so many levels. Do yourself a favor and find a different restaurant. You can definitely get better food and WAY BETTER customer service at many other places that actually deserve your business. Thai Pepper should actually be ashamed of themselves. If you want to close earlier then change the time that you have listed on your Yelp page, your website, and on your Google My Business Page. If you don't want to change the times that YOU CHOSE and LISTED, then at least honor them. Customers make dining decisions based on information that YOU provided. Tonight you ruined the evening for my children and I. We won't be back. read more

We ordered the Golden Bags (minced chicken in thin paper wraps, deep fried), Macadamia Beef, Pine Nut Chicken, Penang Curry with Tofu, and Drunken Noodles with Beef, medium spicy. Everything was delicious and fresh. The beef in the macadamia beef was particularly flavorful, as was the sauce for the Penang curry. We had mango sticky rice for dessert; the mango was incredibly smooth and sweet and the little bit of extra coconut milk poured on top was perfect. I wish the dip for the chicken appetizer had been more sour, but otherwise I wouldn't change a thing. The service was fast and very attentive. read more

We've ordered here maybe half a dozen times and every time it's on point and delicious. I want to try more, but I can't help always ordering my favorites but so far we've had the chicken satay, golden bags, shumai, summer rolls, panang curry, green curry, crab fried rice, pad thai... it's all so good. And the staff is so nice, they've offered to deliver to my car when they saw I was lugging my daughter in her infant car seat. Plus my 4 year old LOVES their chicken satay and will even eat their curry... she begs me to order "chicken on a stick" every time we drive past. New place in Danbury that finally serves Thai food - the food was excellent - the Hot Basil was fresh and they were quick to dial down the heat. When they mean spicy, they mean it so for those not used to it - this your warning as the Larb Chicken, though excellent, bordered on too much. I gave only 4 stars because of how small the seating area is with only 2 four tops, 1 two top and the bar stool seating and though they were kind about letting you use the bathroom, you have to walk through the kitchen (the mystery of the meal prep should remain a mystery) - looking forward to ordering to go in the future soon read more

Food is not fantastic, but decent. I think meat quality and/or preparation is not as good as should be. Hot basil was very good except meat. Next time, we'll just order without meat. Golden bag (appetizer) was excellent. Pad Thai is average and with meat makes it worse. Service is good. read more
