4 stars for good entrees and table service. With Thai on the mind and a number of places to choose from the "Thai" list, the family tried this location not far from home. We were seated quickly this Saturday evening with a party of 4 and we sat for a few minutes before our friendly server greeted us and took our order. The summer rolls arrived with great presentation - a full basil leaf wrapped in plain view. Unfortunately, the wrap itself was not much beyond the fresh mint and basil. The freshness was wonderful but the lack of flavor was noticeable. The peanut sauce was the main enhancing element here and was solid without being overly sweet. For my entree, Pad See Ew caught my eye as a new dish to try out and I was not disappointed. The food arrived hot and plentiful. Rice noodles, beef (you can choose other meats), broccoli, carrots and brown sauce all were cooked to perfection and were satisfying to the taste buds. I need to also add that you can add "heat" to the sauce and mine was made to order. The staff did not visit much during the meal, so, if we had additional needs, we might have waited too long. As it was, our food arrived as we requested so we were "low-maintenance" this evening. A solid place for Thai, but with other options in the area, I want to keep working on down the list. read more

This Thai place is located in a desirable location of Winter Park amongst some of our favorite places. They are in the midst of remodeling and they seem to capture quite the crowd. However we were not impressed at all and won't be returning. Despite our food being poor quality I will say they have lovely presentation and service is good. I was sad I couldn't order a one person portion of the cucumber salad so I caved and got the regular size for $5 and was irritated when they brought both myself and my partner a starter salad as well. Had I know they give you a salad I wouldn't have ordered a huge salad for just myself on top of my meal and other salad. We love Thai food and just don't feel that this place makes their food fresh like our favorite competitor. My boyfriends dish was beyond awful. Steak stir fry. The steak was overly chewy and just gross. The servers did a wonderful job at suggesting another plate and trying to make things right but the food was just not great. Especially for the price. My red curry (a favorite dish of mine) didn't taste fresh and lacked veggies. Overall the service is good and they try hard to please their customers but we weren't happy with this restaurant and will probably stick to our other Thai restaurant unfortunately. read more

Do NOT eat here if you have absolutely any sort of food intolerance/allergy. Was told numerous times when dining here that the Tom yum soup was safe for me to eat, as I have celiac disease and have to follow a gluten free diet as a result. Half a dozen times I've eaten here and been told that the curry with steamed tofu and Tom yum soup are gluten free, only to see on the online menu that the Tom yum soup has fish sauce (instant red flag). I immediately called to confirm that it is in fact GF and was told that because of a "seasoning" they use, it is not gluten free. This is absolutely GROSS negligence by Thai Place and is a slap in the face to anyone with autoimmune or other disorders that restrict safe food options. My first experience with this Thai place was just a little 'meh.' There are so many outstanding Thai food restaurants in Orlando that I feel like this one just didn't stand out. I shared an order of shrimp summer rolls to start. The dish comes with two rolls and peanut sauce. The sauce was not the regular peanut sauce I am used to, but it also wasn't that terrible bland prepackaged sauce I've gotten at some really bad Thai places. The rice paper was a bit thicker than I like, but they had a great big piece of basil that elevated it. For my main course I ordered the Massaman Curry (mild) and I enjoyed it, but wasn't blown away (and I was pretty hungry at the time, so that was surprising...). I had enough for leftovers which always makes me happy though! The dish came with a simple side salad with ginger dressing which was a great touch (a lot of places have this available at an additional cost). Finally, I ordered a ginger hot tea. It was wonderfully spicy and was the perfect way to end the meal! But, I was a little bummed that this tea stood out to me more than the food. tl;dr - Pretty good, not that memorable. We were looking for another adventurous restaurant and decided to visit here. At first, they were really busy. So busy, that the waitresses didn't see us waiting in the front. I think it would be safe to say that a designated hostess would come in handy during the weekend, such as this evening. Finally, we were spotted and we were seated in the back dining area. Our waitress was nice and friendly but she seemed a little rushed; she was completing multiple jobs simultaneously. Talented I might say but they were definitely understaffed. We ordered the calamari and 2 orders of summer rolls for starters with a side of rice for my toddler, he loves it! The appetizers were great and we really enjoyed it but when they brought our order of coconut soup with seafood, man was it way too salty! We didn't even finish it and we notified our waitress also. For our final entree, we ordered the green curry with mixed vegetables and seafood. Not bad, but the sauce was runny and mainly hot spicy. My husband loved it and I on the other hand, did not. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach & I was not happy (so I thought) about the amount of food I was given for the amount I paid. Well...that Pad Thai stretched for 3 meals. It was packed with shrimp, beef, & chicken & offered a medley of flavors (I forgot to ask for no peanuts, but the addition of the peanuts added yet another flavor that I don't necessarily hate, but can do without). I also tried an order of their fried cream cheese & shrimp wonton (Mom wanted the closest thing to crab Rangoon). They were nice & crispy/crunchy with plenty of filling. I must say, I enjoyed them more than any crab Rangoon I've tasted. The plum sauce was perfect for dipping. I'm not sure about the experience when dining in, but it was pretty empty when I went in to pick up my food. My mum and I came here for Saturday night dinner and honestly because of my menu choice it was a bit more pricey than we expected ($50 incl tip!) but portions were generous and food was good so would overall recommend. I wanted fish but there were limited choices, and nothing on the Menu that was grilled or steamed. I liked the sound of the Thai Palace Paradise (Chef's Signature dish - $21.95) but the waitress suggested substituting with x2 snapper Fillets as 1 didn't want to eat the shrimp or scallops that normally accompany the dish. My mum decided to get the Veggie Red Curry (10.95) without Tofu and after our menu choices were made, the waitress checked the dice level and I got my Snapper Mild Spice level while my Mum choose Medium Hot spice level. Mum also got Brown Rice for $1 more while I stuck with the white rice. While we were waiting for our food, the waitress bought out an amuse-bouche of salad with peanut vinaigrette which was massively disappointing both in taste and size. Firstly from a taste perspective, the dressing tasted watered down and diluted. Secondly the salad quantity was so small, it was almost a joke since it was over in 3 bites! The salad leaves were crisp and not old, but still! Also my mum said that she recalled that under previous restaurant ownership, you got the salad in a plate and the dressing was much more robust in taste. Not sure what others are seeing that I'm not. It's now 4:28pm on a Saturday. Was feeling for some Thai to eat, and apparently I came to the wrong place. The food was very basic. Noodles with some slop on it, I suppose that was to be the sauce. The take out plastic container was piping hot, which in my mind was the best thing about this meal. They threw in an abundance of tough fibrous protein that was meant to be chicken I suppose, and two slender pieces of shrimp. Apparently this token gesture of shrimp was to justify the high cost of this rather basic excuse for a meal, the glorious "shrimp!" Yeah!! Guess by this it is clear, this experience was a very poor one in the name of take out. Oh yes, speak to the positive! The food was hot, and there was a wedge of lemon. I had a salad with steak and the dressing was very unique, loved the flavor. Great for my Keto meal. Unfortunately I won't be back..yesterday was my first time there the lady that rung me up for my to go order the lady was very kind & I got my food within 15min. I ordered my food around 1pm and around 4pm I experienced terrible belly aches and and I had severe vomiting back to back and TMI diarrhea non stop for hours... I had to go to the hospital that night and they told me I have the stomach flu. Stopped by for a quick dinner before a concert and had no idea we were about to have the best Thai food of our lives! The staff was so friendly and helpful, with great recommendations and quick service. We tried the steamed dumplings, Panang curry and the pad see ew with Chili pepper and a recommended hot sauce -- we ate everything on the plate. My boyfriend had mentioned it was my birthday weekend and they brought out a big plate of fresh Thai donuts and sweetened condensed milk as a surprise at the end of the meal. Wow! Not sure what happened to my favorite Thai place. The ownership changed recently and the prices sky rocketed, the service declined, and the menu was reduced. We went in around 6 in the evening. There was 3 additional guests in the restaurant and we ordered. Kids can be picky so we asked for some minor modifications. In a first ever while dining experience the server who knew us as regulars for the past few years, snapped at him "No! We don't do it that way!"
