Flavor-wise this place is amazing and the prices are very affordable. I have only ordered take out from Thai Rama but the portion that they give you is a lot! Enough for two meals and it seems as if they jam pack so much food in the container that they give. It definitely feels like it too when you hold the take out bag. I can't speak much for their customer service but usually they're pretty quick and friendly every time I place my order. I ordered a delivery of Thai food at 5:40 pm and was told it would arrive within 15 to 20 minutes. Thought that was a little odd, so quick? At 6:40 I called back and was told 10 minutes, the food was in the delivery truck on its way. I called at 7:20 and they were totally confused about the order.... obviously it hadn't been prepared. They tried to give me a song and dance about the lost order.... telling me it would arrive in 10 minutes. This food over the years has been mediocre, but convenient, since I live in neighborhood. My tum yum soup was a bit spicy for me so when I let the lady know she said we will make you a new one with a smile on her face . No attitude was given. Very solid, traditional style. Portions are good and the price is right. As a matter fact the prices are better here than pretty much all of their fellow Thai food competitors in the area that's why we go there more than the others. We usually get the pad see yew, make sure you ask for the spicy option if u like heat, as the medium spice version tastes too bland to me, and one of the curries. Their yellow curry is very good although I prefer the beef over the chicken. A real hidden gem!!! Found this on yelp, as i havent found GOOD thai food in all of LA, especially close to me (burbank). There's some decent thai restaurants, but this one takes the cake! The food is KILLER, very authentic and great prices. Dont be fooled by the location or inside of the restaurant. My faves are orange shrimp, pad thai, and the pineapple curry. Really really good Thai food! This is a great place to pick up an order from (not crazy about the interior). The dishes are all very good. The orange chicken is super crispy every time which I love! Tastes great too. The pad Thai noodles with shrimp, the fried rice with pork, the dumplings, egg rolls and Thai iced tea are all amazing. They used to be really consistent and reliable. Although the green curry was always pretty terrible. They recently made the mistake of raising prices and reducing portion sizes at the same time. Why not just raise the price to account for the cost of the old portion sizes? There are many Thai restaurants in the area where the menus are largely interchangeable. You find the same appetizers, curries, noodles listed on the menu, so often the choice becomes a matter of convenience, service and quality of food. The food here is standard fare. The meat in my pad see ew is tough and overcooked as is the chicken in my green curry. They charge for rice even when you order an entree, even when you order multiple entrees whereas other Thai restaurants include rice when you order an entree. Or, when you order multiple entrees. Thai Rama has hole in the wall ambience, small, intimate, a little dark. The lunch specials are cheap, but the portions are small -- you get what you pay for. They do deliver. This is not a place where they change it up or innovate. read more

Reasonably priced for Glendale. The Thai dishes are decent. I get the pad Thai, yellow curry, or panang. And they deliver--never had any problems with delivery, always prompt, food not cold. Just stick to the Thai dishes, DO NOT get anything Chinese or Japanese. The teriyaki was terrible and the sweet and sour chicken was bland and dry. I like this place because they have cheap lunch specials and they're quick. Their lunch specials come with a small dinner salad, one potsticker, choice of white or brown rice, and soup. The soup doesn't come with take-out orders, which is what I usually do. I did dine once there and found the soup to be a simple spinach and mushroom one. It doesn't beat out the places in Thai Town, but it definitely works for a quick fix in the area. I wouldn't recommend getting a lunch special though if you are starving. The portion size is just enough to fill you up for a little while. Parking sucks here as you have to find street parking in the surrounding neighborhood or on the street right in front of the restaurant. The wait was longer than I expected. The service was terrible. It appears I had walked into an argument between two of the workers. I have been meaning to write a review for this place for years (we've lived down the street and been ordering out or dining in from them for eight), but after tonight's dinner, I finally decided it could wait no longer. This place is great and not just because of the food, but I'll start there. I cannot get away from ordering the yellow curry. Comfort food at its best. The flavor is wonderful and it's not too spicy. The base comes with carrots, potatoes, and onions and you can get it with meat but as a vegetarian I can only speak to the tofu one being divine. My old favorite was the pineapple fried rice and tonight I ordered it so I would have leftovers for tomorrow. Leftovers, ha! Got it to share with husband and 2-year old (in addition to their entrees, too) and between the three of us it didn't stand a chance! My husband likes the chicken satay, and of course the chicken pad thai. The Thai iced-teas are large, yummy, and cheap ($2.50). The entree portion sizes are fair but not gigantic. Onto the customer service. This place is SO kid-friendly. Take tonight. My daughter loves the tofu soup and WITHOUT ASKING they brought her out an empty bowl, a cup of ice, and the piping hot soup with a metal spoon to serve plus a plastic spoon for her to hold so we could water/cool it down in the empty bowl before she fed herself with the plastic spoon that wouldn't get hot. Talk about thoughtful. And this even though she leaves the typical 2-year old mess (rice everywhere, water spilled on the table, etc...) whenever we leave. Our waters were never empty and the service is always brisk. Reasonable prices round out the reasons why Thai Rama gets five stars in my book. Looking at other comments I can see how parking would be a problem, but we walk or order delivery so it doesn't factor into my review. read more
