I have ordered from this Thai restaurant before and really enjoyed their food. . Today I ordered yellow curry with white rice. There must be an issue in the kitchen because the curry was so thin it was transparent and watery and the chicken was undercooked. the carrots and potatoes were also very undercooked. If you want watery curry over raw carrots and potatoes and undercooked chicken then this is the place. It is a shame really because some other things I have ordered were actually pretty good. They have lost my business going forward. I hope someone who is responsible over there reads this and corrects the cook issue. read more

We ordered a recent office lunch from Thai Rama when the place we meant to take out from was closed. No one knew anything about this spot, but I figured it would be safe to order a pad Thai. I was right, and had a totally satisfying lunch. I got the pad Thai with shrimp, and it was tasty, the noodles supple and flavorful, stir fried with shrimp, scrambled egg, bean sprouts, and green onion. I appreciated the high ratio of noodles to bean sprouts, and both the shrimp and overall portion sizes were generous. I don't know that we'll order from Thai Rama again (not all my co-workers were into it; I gather the green curry was not a favorite), but I liked what I got. I suddenly craved Thai food while running some errands in this area, so I opened Google to see which places had good reviews. I found that Thai Rama had very high ratings, ranking among the top for Thai food. I decided to order the Spicy Chili & Basil lunch special to take home after reading many reviews saying the food here is really delicious. And it truly was! The flavor of everything was excellent. Even though the 'Medium spicy' was a bit too spicy for me, it was so tasty that I finished everything in one go. If you're not good with spicy food, I recommend ordering it with less heat because the spiciness here is authentically Thai. The flavors were just like back home in Thailand! Jumped on grub hub and typed in Thai and this was the first spot that popped up so thought we'd give it a try. Ordered our typical pad Thai, pad see-ew, pineapple fried rice and mango sticky rice. All smelled really good! - Pad Thai was light in flavor but wasn't bad at all. - Pineapple fried rice had huge pineapple chunks which was interesting. But tasty nonetheless. - pad see ew was yummy! Both babies and hubs enjoyed this one. - mango sticky rice was lovely. Sadly mangos were sour but i know they're not in season. Love that the coconut sauce was enough for the rice and mangos. Wish the sauce was more flavorful though. Price wasn't bad at all either. Love that it wasn't spiked up for a third party. Much appreciated. And to top it all off, our grub hub driver was so sweet! Yum. Another delicious dinner. We ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, papaya salad and the Thai BBQ chicken. The papaya salad was a bit too sweet, the chicken had more tooth parts and the pad Thai was sweeter and overly saturated in the sauces in some sections. I'd still come back. The service is always friendly and the ambiance was okay. Not too welcoming for people to dine indoors since it seems crowded and closed off, but it's a perfect opportunity for takeout. A very disappointing Thai restaurant. They are only doing take out at the moment and you are able to place an order online. It only took about 15 minutes. The only redeeming quality about this place was the crab Rangoons, they were quite good. However the pad Thai was one of the worst pad Thais I have ever had. It was dry with not a lot of flavor. Ordered a bunch of food from here for a family style dinner. I sampled pad thai with shrimp, pad see ew with veggies, spicy eggplant with chicken, chicken wontons, and veggie rolls. My personal stack rank was 1) pad see ew 2) veggie rolls 3) wontons / spicy eggplant 4) pad thai. I think the spicy eggplant was a little disappointing because medium spicy was not spicy at all -- I would recommend going all the way on it. Pricing was reasonable and competitively priced to similar restaurants. Portions were of good size too. I also tried the thai ice tea which was really good. If I order from here again (which I probably will) I'd definitely go for another round of pad see ew and veggie rolls, and potentially branch out to sample more of the menu. Needed something hot and comforting for a rainy day. This place was close and has Postmates. It was super quick and came nice and warm still. The PAD SEE EW was so good. Perfectly cooked and a nice hearty amount. Can't go wrong with this dish. It's a house favorite. The TOM YUM SOUP with shrimp was tasty. Total disappointment. Recently ordered take out as we have eaten in in the past. Pineapple fried rice had absolute no flavor, not even the taste of pineapple. Pad see ew was also bland. Few pieces of meat and some broccoli, not Chinese broccoli. Pad thai was dry. It was all noodles, few tiny frozen shrimps, and no vegetables. Fight the temptation, and avoid. I have been ordering from this place for over two years. The food is a solid B+, exactly what you would expect from their price points. The owners are nice and friendly, and the delivery is quick. The prices in the menu photos don't reflect current pricing though. I attached my receipt so you can see. I got the lunch special tofu with veggies, a small tofu hot and sour soup (also called Tom Yum), a lunch special chicken chow mein, and a Thai iced tea. Everything was hot and delicious when it was delivered only 35 min after ordering lunch. The lunch specials also come with fried won tons on the side as well. Their red curry is also great. If your a fan of shrimp, then yes you can trust this place to give you quality, CLEAN, shrimp. I highly recommend Thai Rama for takeout. I've never dined in. Hope you try them and enjoy! read more

Great Thai Spot in Glendale! I was on my way to my sister's for dinner and decided to pick up some Thai food on the way. Ordered on the phone - got a shrimp pad thai, chicken satay, beef pad see ew, papaya salad and crab fried rice. Was ready in 20 minutes, which was my drive from NoHo to Glendale. Parked on the street and walked up to the place. Food was ready to go, so I paid. Staff was very nice and friendly. It was $60 for all those dishes and they were all delicious.
