Best Thai food I've ever had. Best fried rice I've ever had. I don't understand why there aren't more people coming to this establishment. I live one street over and I come here more often than any other restaurant. The fried rice is beautifully cooked every single time. Most other places have soy sauce tasting fried rice with soggy rice but, Thai Rama knows how to make fried rice. It isn't too crispy or soggy at all, it's all in all perfect. Any of the noodle dishes are perfect as well. Pad see ew being one of my favorites. Pad Thai is very well done as well (being a favorite amongst the basic population). The tom yum soup is delicious and heartwarming. I'm Korean and sour is not included with our palate for soups BUT, the tom yum here is satisfying even though a slightly sour soup is foreign in taste, it still gets the job well done! If you are ever in the area say hi and order some food. The owners are a husband and wife duo who are super friendly. Definitely one of the highlights of living in Glendale. Love you guys! Solid Thai place to go eat at. Not anything out of this world but, perfect for lunch or dinner. Whatever you get from the menu it will be taste good and it will come at a reasonable price. we ordered the bbq spare ribs and the spicy noodles with egg, tofu, veggie option. The ribs are one of the better ones i've had compared to other thai places. The spicy noodles were good too. I'd say the food is great bang for the buck. I will need to go back there and try out more dishes to give it a better or more accurate review. read more

Ordered Shrimp friend rice with extra egg which cost almost $14. A bit expensive. They were enough shrimps to go around at my department potluck. Very tasty and savory. I would recommend this place for some fried rice. read more

They had a really good green papaya salad with garlic and lemons but they put sugar in it which ruined the flavor but it was stile good. I ordered another green papaya salad and told them no sugar and that was much better. They also have an amazing coconut with veggie soup. But I will not recommend their currys because they are way too sweet. I had the red curry and yellow and ewww it was so sweet. read more

We ordered the green curry to go on 8/11/2019. Upon eating it - we noticed that the curry smelled like urine. We returned the curry back to the restaurant right away. The cook acknowledged the bad smell and taste and apologized for the horrible experience. Later on we read in google that when the bamboo shoot (strips) are expired, the bamboo exudes a urine like smell and taste. We suggest that next time please check the expiration dates and make sure the ingredients are fresh before using them. Why would you use expired items? You can potentially hurt a customer with food poisoning and the toxins of expired rotten food can have a detrimental effect on the digestive system. I am disappointed and I am definitely not going back to this restaurant. read more

To say that my kitchen is further away from my living room than this restaurant would be a cross exaggeration, But it can give you an idea of just how far I have to walk to grab food here. Because of that fact I do favor it compared to other places, but on top of all that its F'n good! For me its one of those restaurants because of its location and tastes good, kinda ruins ever going to another Thai restaurant. There plenty out there that are just as good, but why get in the car. I have tried a ton of things on there menu, but I do love the generic to go to of PAD THAI...and to me it is the basic dish that if you can make that right everything else on the menu you know is going to be good. Its the dish everyone knows. Italians have pizza, mexican is tacos, Thai have Pad thai. It is very colorful from not being overly cooked or soy sauced. It has a lot of flavor to it, and the spicy sauce you can put in it just takes it to heaven. There are actually a few dishes on the menu that you would find in a chinese restaurant, and you would probably think there not going to be as good, but I think they taste better than you could ever expect. One of My favorites is Wanton soup. They just add a little more to it than normal, There is slices of chicken breast, and my favorite.....BOK CHOWE(sorry if i spelled it wrong), The Bok is just a nice touch to it, and the vegetables floating in the soup keep it from not being the boring won tons i come to expect when I order it at other restaurants. Then there is ORANGE CHICKEN (I know, i know, what am i thinking this a thai restaurant......remember I am close, so i have tried a lot on the menu) But that orange chicken is the best i ever had, The way they fry it its like a light, but very crispy outside, and its not a heavy sauce on it, but has a good favor still. In saying all that, I gave it the 5 stars as a guy that orders the take out. If I was anyone else I might give it 4. And I might be a little disappointed if I had to drive to far to get here. Way too hot too cook or go out so we ordered Thai Rama. Not having had it in a while, we forgot how average it was. But tonight's meal left much to be desired. Thai BBQ chicken was dry and fatty. the sauce was way to liquidy for my taste. The pad see ew was oily and the tof was tough. A few pieces of oil drenched (American) broccoli was sprinkled in. The Rama salad was ok. But we asked for extra peanut dressing and that didn't make it with the order. read more

I really, really enjoyed my meal here. The Tom Yum with tofu was heavenly and yellow curry with tofu was delicious. We were all salivating over our plates the whole meal and they knew they did a top notch job. The only problem I had was with the service at the end - the waitress, knowing how much we loved the food, actually stalked our table for the signed credit card receipts to look at the tip, at the table. They used to be excellent. Then about a year ago they changed owners. They prices went up, the portions went down, along with the quality. They used to have orange chicken made with real orange juice and peel. Now it's really dry. Pad Thai stayed about the same. I would happily pay the new prices for the old food. I'm giving this place 3 stars instead of 2 because I am a regular and their food is pretty good. I would give this place 2 stars for their recent service. I'm just a little upset because I have ordered delivery from this place for more than 2 years, but today I experienced something I've never experienced before. I call to order, like usual, and I'm greeted by this lady (who sounds very unfamiliar). And I order my food (shrimp fried rice with a sprite) and the total came out to be $12.45. Pretty expensive, but I don't care bc I'm hungry and her voice is hesitant, but she says to me that the minimum for delivery is $15 and she asked if I would like to order more. Mind you I ordered from here all the time and I never had a problem. And I explain that to her and she says, "okay this time I'll let it go." (With a little bit of an attitude) and so I proceed to give her my card number and the exp date, then she goes on and asks me for my security code. I've gotten scammed before and I didn't feel safe giving her my security code. So I asked her why she needed it and she said her bank needs the info (in her broken English)... I didn't like the sound of that and I kept telling her she doesn't need that info bc I've never had to give my code before. And with a big sigh she goes,"okay fine your order will be done in 30 min." And hangs up. After she hung up I went to check my bank account to see if it went through, even though I didn't give her my security code, and it did! I don't know if they're under new management but this will be the last time I order from here. read more

Since I've only ever gotten take out, not sure how their real service is. Generally okay, but sometimes depends on who is at the register. I used to love getting take outs from Thai Rama. However, they've recently raised prices and also decreased food portions. I'm a little disappointed, as this used to be my go-to place for Thai in the area. Since their price is now the same as other places (plus smaller portions than before), I don't think I'll be coming back. Also, street parking only. Being so close to the apartment, we had to try Thai Rama! Unfortunately it is not worth it, even if it is 500 feet away. The egg rolls were worse than Panda Express and were obviously frozen ones with store bought dipping sauce. The spicy noodles came with egg even though it was not listed on the menu description and were beyond bland. The panang curry was all spice and no flavor. The serving size was so small, I had to order an extra rice. No thickness to the curry, no hint of sweetness, no curry flavor. The raw bell peppers in both didn't impress either. The place is small and not well decorated, which would be fine if it was authentic or good food. Failed to impress. Worth going the extra mile into Glendale for better Thai. read more
