I got a pad Thai combo with no tofu and ordered some crab and cream cheese wontons. The pad Thai was delicious and so was there peanut sauce, but the wontons could use a bit more filling. overall very tasty and they deliver which is awesome. Thai Rama is nestled in a cozy little corner in Glendale where you would least expect. They have solid Thai food that will appease the general palates and they deliver for free within a 3 mile radius. Some of the dishes I have enjoyed so far are fried squid, spicy noodles, pineapple fried rice, and ridiculously good tom yum. This was the VERY first time I ordered from Thai Rama & knowing it was late & close to closing time, I just wanted some brown rice & polite-fully asked if there was any chance I could order anything else. Knowing it was late, I was told that the kitchen was closed already. I was TOTALLY FINE w/that since I was STILL ABLE to get my brown rice! The lady that answered the phone was AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE (Bonnie) & I assured her that I would make sure to come back earlier in the day to order my entree BEFORE they close. Ordered Rama Salad for delivery. How long does it take to prepare a salad? It took about an hour and 5 mins. I live half a block away. i was very disappointed when I opened the package. There was no peanut dressing!!! Instead they put their house dressing which wasn't that bad but that was not what's on the menu. The greens were also floating in water! Been eating here for about 15 years through several owners and it's always been very good. Until tonight. Must be new owners again and this time quality has gone waaaaay down. Wonton soup was always a favorite and this time it was full of brown wilted cabbage, what looked like ground chicken and nasty old tasting wontons. Pad Thai was mush. A plate of red mush. Weird. I eat here atleast two times per months since it is very close to my house. a small family business with really good foods. almost everything is less than $10 ALL THE FOODS taste really really good. they have amazing soups too. This is the only Thai spot in Glendale I can call delicious, homey, and authentic. I haven't had better Thai in the Glendale/Burbank area. It's my go-to spot when I don't feel like making a drive out to my regular spot in Hollywood. The owner (or maybe the owner) is really nice and is always smiling and thankful. Prices are affordable but quality is low grade. Pineapple fried rice sucks. Spicy noodles are ok. Garlic shrimp was mediocre. Dont get me wrong food taste good just nothing special. Anyone love Tom Kha Soup? ...that amazing Thai soup using coconut milk? You want to have the best Tom Kha soup - this is the place. I am a creature of habit. I like ordering the same food when I go to restaurants. I usually get Tom Kha with Tofu or shrimp, Prik King with shrimp or Pad Kee Mao with shrimp when I am ordering Thai. The last 10 times I've only ordered Tom Kha delivered to my house. 2x we ate at the restaurant. One day I will try their noodles but for now I am on a diet :) The Staff is always very friendly; even the delivery people. Food is always served hot and delicious. I can not rate to many of their foods because I haven't tried them yet but I can tell you there Tom Kha soup and spicy eggplant dish are the best you will find in Los Angeles. Let me tell you why: The mushrooms they use in the soup are delicious. Small pointy chewy and whole. Second they use lots of white cabbage in the soup. Finally the lemongrass flavor is infused in the soup without having to have a ton of things that are not edible that you have to spit out. The coconut broth is also thick and divine. I usually order it medium spicy. Again Best Tom Kha soup in Southern California. There eggplant dish is great also. Not too oily with lots of tasty basil. read more

I don't think I would ever actually want to eat inside of the restaurant - it's bright with bad decor and kind of awkward. However, for delivery it's okay - perhaps because I don't expect a lot. I always love Thai food. Thai rama is the first Thai place I found and dine in since I move in here in Glendale. And I keep coming back here for more. The place is small and rustic but the food is amazing. The hospitality and service is outstanding. The servers are the family that owns this place, well most of the time I eat here they're the only people I see serving. But I can't complain because they really take care of their customers. They have a shared private parking lot with other stores and most of the time you can find parking easily. It's free. My favorite is ginger fish. They cook the fish so tender and tasty. They sautéed so many vegetables on top of it and the ginger taste still overpowers. (Serves it purpose).I paired it with pineapple fried rice which is a good combo. The other best food I tried here is the pad Thai.The noodles so soft and fresh. They are very generous with the meat.(pork or seafood). I finish my meal with mango with sticky rice. Ah sweet temptation. Not too sweet just right to my taste. Fresh coconut syrup makes it more delicious. (It comes with it). The best part of this Resto is they make a kick ass food delivery. They deliver it to you so fast and properly sealed and packed. Amazing. From the smiley face of the container of the food down to wrapping of the bag, they make it really clean and perfect. No spillage at all even poking a hole of the box to put air inside the food, they make it really neat and presentable. Food is delivered to you in a fashionable way. LoL. They have a lot of choices of food but I can only eat so much. But I will definitely try it soon. I will never get tired of ordering food from them. I liked it, I'll definitely eat here again/ I had the hot & sour soup (forgot the name) but the one without the coconut milk & it was YUMMY. Then I had pad thai and wow I was blown away. I usually order vegetarian pad thai when I go out cause the chicken is usually funky but my friend assured me that this place uses chicken breast that looks like chicken breast so I got it with chicken & it was really good. I actually ate the chicken & finished the entire plate (and then nearly exploded). It was just sooo good I didn't want to leave any behind. So yea I def will go back. The only downfall is that it really is a hole in the wall & the inside is the size of a bedroom just about. So yea don't take your date here BUT definitely worth getting delivery! This is a cozy little neighborhood restaurant. An old couple runs the place during the day. They are very cute and surly. The food is cheap but the portions are small. I usually get spicy green beans with chicken. It is dependable and tasty. If you plan on dining in the restaurant--come early on a weekday. ok, so i gave it two stars cause it wasnt in my heart to give it one. i didnt hate it, i just didnt like it at all. i got chow mein, and kung pao chicken. my buddy got chowmein with chicken and also pad thai chicken. the kung pao is so bad, it doesnt even look like kung pao. the food just looks to horribly unappetizing. i dont understand why it looked so sad, the chicken was like in bits and these random vegtables sitting in a puddle of some kinda broth or whatever, i dunno, maybe its just the kung pao thats like that, but it sucked. chow mein had no flavor, weird texture, too thick for chow mein, it just looked sad yet again. i didnt eat the pad thai, but it looked better than anything else. the chicken satay was also pretty dry. i dunno, i think i just must have ordered the wrong stuff or something cause i was so unimpressed with the taste and presentation of this food. i dont get the high ratings at all, any person who got what i got would be as upset with this place. i dont even want to try anything else from here just to see if it was what i ordered cause im just kinda grossed out. anyway, you know what it is, and you knwo what it aint. read more

We stumbled in here on a late weekday night after having had some drinks at Neat Bar down the street and were delightfully pleased. The service was great. Once again this place delivers. The orange chicken is better than anything I have ever tried before. It's perfect taste and crispiness can't be beat. Their Red Curry with beef is amazing as well. This time I didn't order the Tom Kha Soup as my first review order was just too much food for 2 people. The Spicy Fried Rice is also very good and I would suggest getting this as a side.
