Selena is Amazing and I was requesting her every-time. The first time I tipped $20 and the second and 3rd $10. My 4th visit, the massage felt mediocre , when I tipped she showed me a sign where it says standard (happy) tip was $25 for 1 hr. This is my go to place for a great massage at a reasonable price. My favorite masseuse is Selena, she does deep tissue massage without the usual elbow stabbing, long strokes with lots of pressure. She listens to what I like and focus on areas that need more attention. The staff were really sweet and the room was clean-- the massage therapist who was working on me was a little bit clumsy however (ex. left fresh hot rocks on the bottoms of my feet and tried to do other things, only to scramble back down because I cried out in pain, harshly bent back my nail while trying to wipe my feet down with a hot towel, repeatedly taking calls) Again, she was super sweet, so I'm not going to hold it against her. read more

Good experience til we got scammed when leaving. Booked the day of, many massage openings for appointments when I called. Was running few minters late and they were very accommodating. Limited parking outside. $60 for Swedish massage and they were able to put both My husband and in the same room! Jennifer didn't ask or check on how firm she was but my husband liked Jessica and was very professional and worked on his sore spots very well. My husband paid cash WITH TIP when we first got there. When we were leaving, they were asking for MORE TIP. Said they never got the TIP when we first there. I had some free time on my hands. And some really sore muscles. The Fremont day spa fit me in last minute. I had a 90 minute amazing massage! Amy was my masseuse. The room was small but very comfortable. I could not believe once that massage was started how great it felt. She started with the blanket covering me. And then pull the blanket back to get deeper into my back. I told her I was having sciatic pain. And she spent more time on my glutes. The lighting was low. Nice soft music playing. And she kept verbally checking in with me asking me if it was OK. I am really happy I found the spot for a massage. It is definitely a strong massage. I am sure if you ask her to be softer she would happy to be. There is a parking lot right behind the building. They asked that you pay upfront. I don't have a prom with that because why would ? My lower back hurt and the pain is gone. So why three stars? Two reasons. 1) When I left a tip, the woman at the front desk asked why I didn't leave a bigger tip. For the record, tipping is NOT MANDATORY and if and how much is ALWAYS the CUSTOMER'S choice! Like most of us, I do not have endless money lying around. In fact, I have not had a massage for a year as I can't afford them regularly. So they should just be happy I left a tip AT ALL! 2) The woman at the front desk was difficult to understand both on the phone and in person. The location is near my apartment and the rooms are clean. I don't need a fancy spa but I do need to feel valued as a customer. DON'T BUY THE GROUPONS! Pricing in the physical store front is equal to or less than the Groupon pricing and the front desk confirmed with me that their online pricing is higher intentionally. I've reported them to Groupon for using the Groupon platform falsely and the business is under investigation now as a result for that. When I came in, they tried to charge me upfront (which is fine in itself) but when it became clear the Groupon pricing was inflated, I felt very uncomfortable and left. I have been coming to this place for several years. They DO NOT have good customer service. Jennifer is the worst! When I asked her to take it easier she would respond by telling me "pain is good". She was rough and didn't even put oil on my feet and ankles area which felt more rough and painful. They have a broken record for ruining the taste in your mouth even after a good massage that I tip generously for, always asking for more. WHO THE HELL IS THE OWNER ? Do something about your rude staff speaking to customers like they're their kids and completely unprofessional. I must say Sofia is great and probably the BEST masseuse who knows how to gracefully use her strength when doing a deep tissue massage and it feels like she has the best healing heart and touch who is also receptive and respectful of your feedback. Anytime I feel I cannot wait for Sofia and allow another masseuse, I'm immensely dissatisfied and disappointed! Jennifer is the WORST WORST WORST! She told me because I didn't tip her enough, she would charge me more for hot stones in the future when in fact all my previous massages with Sofia were including the hot stones and a very perfect and thorough massage. Most importantly : i've been here twice and they were two of the best massages I've ever gotten, having tried a fair few massage places around Fremont. Nothing else about this place is that great. The facilities are lackluster. The staff aren't that polite. The place is too hot and not super clean. I was very unhappy when last time I went, I had tipped 22% and the person who took care of me literally demanded I come back, cross out what was written on my receipt and tip the amount she wanted. I know you have to hold places like this to an extra low bar of professional conduct, but I didn't like that at all. My husband and I had a Groupon, and was very excited to use it. The day of our appointment, we walked in, Marissa had greeted us & I told her we had an appointment. I also requested in advance for her to do my facial, as I saw good reviews about her on yelp. She had explained that the full service was two hours, and to choose what we wanted from the package. We had chosen 60 min body massage, 30 min foot massage & 30 min facial. Originally, we actually wanted one of the services to be body scrub, but we changed our minds. We didn't wait too long, as we had an appointment, but also we were the only customers around. It was a Friday at 2pm, and people were probably still at work. In the waiting room, it's a nice setting, small, but I really feel that there should be like an aroma diffuser. That would actually help get people more relaxed, and get in the mood for a relaxing session. In my opinion, that is. With the couples room, I feel like it was a little crammed up. Wish it was a bit bigger. It was dim lighting, and very peaceful music. We waited about 15 minutes in the room & got a little worried that was part of our time, but at the end, our 2 hours was fulfilled. When the masseuses came in, they didn't bother to introduce themselves. They just said, "hello" and started to massage my husband & I. My masseuse asked me if I wanted medium or hard. I actually said "a little softer than medium." LOL It turned out to be a good level for me. Also, in the beginning, they didn't take the towels off right away, maybe it was a warm-up massage. No big deal. I wished that they went a little slower, but maybe I should have said something about that. Still a good massage though. My husband had the hard level massage, and he loved it. He told me that his masseuse was actually stepping on him at one point. LOL When it comes to massages, my favorite is the foot massage, because you stand/walk on your feet every day, so a good massage is always appreciated. I enjoyed it. So did my husband. At the end, when the masseuses was about to leave, I asked them for their names. I had Tina, my husband had Amy. (When we made our appointment,I had two requests: Marissa for facial, and Amy as one of the masseuses.) So, that we got. Facial: Even though it was my very first time getting a facial, I really think it was really amazing!! Very refreshing after the session. Marissa was very fast, but knew what she was doing. Definitely would want her next time, if we were to come back. The person that was working on my husband's facial didn't introduce her self, and I forgot to ask for her name. So, I think that is what they need to work on. Introducing themselves, and if possible, if they can ask if there's any sections of the body they need to work on during the massages. My husband and I went to get a massage here and we're pleased with the massage. The only thing that we noticed was that they didn't put music until we were done with the massage lol. Also the room was a little cold but the lady gave me a blanket which was nice. Another thing was that before leaving one of the ladies told my husband he had to tip a certain amount of money . I came here with a Grupon for a microdermoabrasion and facial. Marissa took care of me and was amazing! She was really nice and great a the facial. She would explain everything I asked her and I really enjoyed and relaxed during the whole appointment that was about 1 hour. My skin was as smooth as a baby's butt! Took lots of dead cells off it was so gross! I highly recommend her. She was 5 stars! The place is not fancy but she got the job done. Skin looks great. Next-went back for a hot stone massage. OMG where do I start??? We got a couples massage. It was pretty bad. We had a male and female masseuse that were laughing and talking in Chinese the whole time! Totally killing the relaxing vibe and the dude kept making weird noises?? WTH? Then to make it worse they didnt know how to use the hot stones-at this point we should have left they would burn their hands and say too hot too hot! Total fiasco!! It was so nuts this dude literaly burned his hands. I felt bad for them but I would NEVER get a massage there again. Luckily my husband and I laughed it off in the end and even gave them a tip because they did burn their hands and all most my back if I hadn't said hell no too hot!! I had a spontaneous thought to get a massage for the first time ever. I saw this place on Yelp, gave them a call to ask for a walk-in and they were available. From the phone call, to the walk in and the service was 10+. I believe it was Sophia that took care of me. I told her it was my first time and she made me feel very comfortable and she was very professional. Since I am active I have a lot of knots so it hurt for a bit in some areas (but this is totally normal because of the knots). When conducting my research for massage, I compare Groupon and Yelp since I prefer to stay within a budge for one hour massages. Mariza was very responsive and helpful when explaining what services they offer and a convenient appointment time. I came for full body with Ye Ye and facial with Mariza. I had a relaxing time with Mariza but I can see why some people would consider it rough. If something is wrong, please let Mariza know and she will do her best to fix the situation. Given that she's also the receptionist, her English is more fluent than other employees so feel free to communicate your needs with her. Now for the massage. Ye Ye didn't introduce herself or ask about areas of focus. Perhaps it was because I'm a young client so they assumed I had no physical issues. If you'd like them to avoid or focus on certain areas, speak up. In fact, if you have a language barrier let Mariza know ahead of time so she can help you out. Ye Ye as Mariza described is someone who uses medium force. If you're petite or want someone stronger, let them know when you make appointments so they could accommodate you. If you're awake, you might get caught off guard when they toss hot towels at you. If this makes you uncomfortable, let them know that you want some form of warning. Would I consider this place a hit or miss? Yes. Most of the previous clients seem sound like they came during the weekend or evening had unexpected wait periods or pressure to tip. Luckily I came on a Monday afternoon and they hit the spot with all my knots. Not gonna lie, I think most Groupon offers are locations with language barriers and hit or miss service. You get what you pay for! Me and my sister went here with a Couples Groupon and got a massage/facial. The massage and facial were just average. The masseuse and person doing the facial were the same, and I'm almost certain they didn't go through professional training , but like I said "you get what you paid for". Extra star because it does seem clean. It was still relaxing because it's a massage but I felt super violated at the end. We both woke up from the facial and were kinda groggy, but after 5 minutes the lady barges in (not even a knock) and says "Okay! Finished!" (Okay we get it you want us to leave), So we're slowly getting up and starting to get dressed and the lady barges in AGAIN! But this time I am naked, and I mean my bum and lady parts were out, and she tells us we need to leave. ‍ She didn't even close the door when she saw me without close on, she was just very focused on kicking us out of the room. What happened to common decency?! Anyway because of that interaction I will not be returning. I have been to Fremont Day Spa before a couple of times & had good experiences. But I understand the management changed. I found this out when they advertised a 90 minute massage for $70, but they wanted $90. When I confronted them about their ad said the price was $70 their answer was that they had a new manager who hadn't changed the website. I told them I didn't think that was an excuse. But told them I'd take a 60 minute massage instead because that was supposed to be $50. They charged me $60. Little did I know that this problem would be nothing compared to what happened in the next hour. I wasn't introduced to my masseuse, just told to lie down on the bed. When the person came in she just started working on me without even asking me what I wanted. I had requested a Swedish massage when I arrived so I thought that was what I was going to get. She proceeded to give me what I would call a deep tissue massage. And when I reminded her that I wanted a relaxing Swedish massage, she actually said NO, you need circulation, I know what to do. For the next half hour I argued with her & I must have told her to STOP at least a half dozen times as I tried to get up to talk to her but she would just push me back down on the table. I kept telling her that I didn't want a deep tissue massage, I want a relaxing massage, but she just insisted that she knew better. I kept telling her that I wanted my neck & back massaged but she was spending a lot of time on my legs & arms. I told her, look, it doesn't matter if you think you know better, I am supposed to be in charge because it is my body! Over & over again I asked her if she even knew what a Swedish massage was & she'd just say, later, later, you need this. I guess by this time I was actually raising my voice because I heard someone next to us tell me to shut up, I was interrupting their massage. I apologized & felt very defeated. By this time she had the sheet completely off me. I'm usually not weird about a professional such as a Dr. or masseuse touching me or seeing my body, but I knew that this was completely inappropriate, unethical & unacceptable. As I say I felt so defeated & I just gave up & started crying. I couldn't relax face down stark naked trying to clutch at the sheet & pull it over me unsuccessfully. She heard me crying & she said don't cry, I will make you feel better, you see, you will sleep tonight. The last thing I remember saying is that no I won't because I can't even relax. All I could think of is that I needed to leave. But every time I told her to stop or tried to get up she just pushed me back down on the table. I'm thinking, I didn't know if I should try to force myself up & run out of the room naked. Could I grab my clothes & purse first? Would I get hurt if I tried to get up off the table & she would push me down again. This is what my massage experience was. She left me after an hour. I don't even know who the masseuse was! I never saw her face. I blew my nose, got dressed & still crying went to the front & asked for the manager. Manager? What manager? There's no manager today. So then I asked, ok who is in charge? Charge? Charge? We charged you $60, see, & she showed me the receipt. No who is your boss? Sorry we don't speak English. I'm thinking, Like hell you don't! So I said ok if that's what you want to do I'll tell you I'm going to report you to someone, if I have to press charges against you or call the Better Business Bureau, or get an attorney, & if you don't understand that much English then it's your own fault. I arrived home crying & my husband was furious. He went there & demanded my money back. But it wasn't about the money for me by then. I am still trying to find somewhere to report them to. A friend says she thinks I was assaulted. I think they are at least deceitful & unethical & I don't want anyone else going through what I did. So please don't risk your sanity going to this place. We went here for a Couples Groupon (don't do it). When we got there at our appointment time, we were informed that they were overbooked. No introductions. I have no idea what the names of the people were. We waited around for about 15-20 minutes before they got us a room. The massage lady was really nice and did most of the work. It was only one massage lady, so we didn't get our massages together. My partner got a facial, while I got a massage. The facial seemed lacking. They put a mask on and left the room for about 30 minutes. We asked for a gentle massage (it wasn't). The facial we received didn't really feel like it did anything to my face. My face feels better when I use the exfoliating brush at home. When it was time to leave, the facial lady who barely spent about 10 minutes with us demanded tip. I had to split the tip between the 2 ladies. I felt bad because the massage lady spent the most time with us and should have received most if not all of the tip. Oh well, lesson learned. read more
