I've been going to Mood Up Wellness for about 2+ years and my experiences have mostly been great because it's all about finding the right therapist that truly fits your needs. Since I work out quite a bit, my muscles are often sore, whether it's my legs, IT Band, back, neck or biceps and/or triceps. Even though I could tell so many therapists where I needed massaging, I found the much needed care from Cindy. She is thorough in her approach. My IT band had been the reason for possibly sciatica and other back issues. After a few sessions with Cindy, I see her regularly every two weeks and it's paid off. She spends a good 7-10 minutes (I think?) on my IT band for each leg. She's great about sensing when to put more or less pressure on tight muscles or knots depending on whether I tense up or show reaction.. I've had many sports massages from other hotel and "brand name" businesses in the bay area at half or double the price. Mood Up Wellness is reasonably priced especially for package deals. Do not come here expecting a relaxing experience because even before you even get to your massage, the front desk receptionist will check and make sure you have cash to tip. If you have an appointment in the evening, they will even go as far as to remind you multiple times to make sure you have a cash tip for the massage therapists. I am all for providing tips, but it is very off-putting when no services have even provided yet. Brought down my mood even before the massage even started. I read many reviews about the couples massage deal for two, and decided to give them a chance but it seems like all they care about is securing their money. I should have read some of the other negative reviews before going here. I got a 75 minute massage which was not the greatest. I requested a medium pressure and the lady masseuse was going really deep to the point where it hurt. She also was rushing and the massage was not enjoyable and did not feel the greatest. I am also very sore now too. After the massage, when leaving I gave the lady a tip and she pointed at a sign that suggested the amount you should tip according to how long your massage was. When I said I wasn't going to tip more she kept insisting that I had to. When I said no again she stormed off and just walked away from me. Very unprofessional. We did not receive the sea salt soak or the sea salt bag--two major parts of what we paid for. From the start, there was zero hospitality. No one introduced themselves, asked for our names, or explained what to expect during the service. The door to our room was left partially open during the massage, which was extremely uncomfortable and showed a total disregard for privacy. I requested medium pressure, but my massage was so rough that I was sore the next day. At the end, they aggressively pushed for a tip--so much so that they asked if I "understood how tipping works." When I didn't tip more, the massage therapist walked out and slammed the door, which was unprofessional and disrespectful. For $234, this experience was nowhere near worth the price. No courtesy, no communication, services not performed as advertised, and pressure for tipping that bordered on harassment. Save your money and your time. We were so disappointed with our massage experience. Had a couples massage on 06/29 at 2:45pm. First, take the time to read the most recent reviews - folks have the same experience with being bullied and pressured for additional tips. We tipped 25% on the original price of the service and they called me over, pointed to a sign and kept saying "need more - 90 minute massage". They repeated themselves about 9 times while I also reiterated that the sign says "SUGGESTED". They would not take no for an answer. This is so unacceptable and degrading for customers. The massage itself was confusing - the music would start playing and turn off immediately after 3 seconds; this went on for a full 90 minutes, so it was extremely hard to settle into feeling relaxed when the only sound you hear for 90 minutes is the sound of them talking back and forth and music abruptly cutting off. Next is the actual massage - asked for medium pressure and instead walked out feeling bruised - the head massage consisted of her literally knocking on my head with her knuckes - yes- knocking on my skull like she was knocking on a door. And then when i said no I'm fine. She asks me how the service was. I said fine and she hinted that if I did not have feedback for Linda then I should give more. To me, it was definitely worth it, given the price as other places are definitely more expensive and don't offer as much service. I decided to walk in to check this place out on a Tuesday after work without any expectations and was surprised in a good way. They had a $75 special for 60 minutes hot stone massage. If I could five zero stars I would. I found them on Groupon and decided to call and ask if they would price match the deal instead of me purchasing the Groupon. Most establishments prefer this since Groupon takes a cut of the profit if purchased through them. At least, that's what a couple businesses have told me. The deal was for a 90 minutes combo couple massage for $177.39. When I called, the lady said I had the choice of a full body or a foot and body combo and I could choose once I arrived. So I booked my mom and I for 6:30 pm today. Well, when I arrived, the lady at the desk told me otherwise. She said the deal I was referring to was for a 45 min body + 45 min foot massage and that the deal that I wanted was $200. So I mentioned their deal on their website where it was a full body for $189 and she said ok we can do that deal. This definitely came off as them wanting more money to me but I brushed it off. We were supposed to get deep tissue massages and flipped halfway through. Both our ladies focused more on our back and had such light and gentle hands. It was definitely not a deep tissue massage with how light they were. They left the room at 7:30 to get warm towels which confused me since there was a warm towel machine in the room. They flipped us over a little after 7:35 I'm guessing since it took them a couple minutes to come back with the towels and wipe the oil from our backs, arms, and legs. Once flipped on our backs, the worked on our heads and the other side of our legs and arms. The whole thing ended at about 7:50, ten minutes shy of 90 minutes. I figured, whatever, it's only 10 minutes. We walked out and turned a couple corners trying to find the exit and were greeted by them at the front. We gave them our tips and that's when the whole dilemma started. They showed us a sign that was hidden behind a glass pitcher and some cups stating that the RECOMMENDED gratitude was something like $20-35 for our 90 min massage. And that's per person. I politely said sorry, that's all the cash I brought. And she insisted they had a machine and I could pay card. I reminded her that the front desk had said their registers closed at 7 and she INSISTED I PAY MORE. I was flabbergasted. Who demands someone to pay tip?! I already paid for services. Tip is an extra added bonus for a job well done. It's a generous gesture. I flipped the lid! I told her she was lucky I even gave her anything and it was free money and she should be grateful. I opted for the deep tissue massage and my masseuse did a great job working out all the knots from my shoulders. I really liked how the rooms were actual individual and private rooms with doors. I did take a look at prices and noticed that deep tissue typically has a $15 up charge. Overall, really enjoyed my massage even though I didn't catch the name of my masseuse. I am a bit disappointed that my hips didn't get worked on at all although it may be a controversial body part due to some people being more conservative than others. The Groupon was a 75min foot and body massage for 159$ which included essential oil of your choice and a sea salt soak for your feet. The ambiance was relaxing, very clean and low calming music. The area they do the massages has dim lighting and the chairs are very comfortable. While they massage your feet they give you eye pillows and blankets to get nice and cozy. During the body massage they cover you with a sheet. My favorite was definitely the foot massage since it was more comfortable on the chairs and you could just lay back and relax. The rooms are clean and the ladies did a great job with our massages. They do suggest tips 10-25$. Overall the experience was just what we needed and we will be happy to go back. read more

Linda is phenomenal!!! I do either the 60 min or 90 min massage and I always leave a new person. She is great at the deep tissue massages and targeting the painful spots. Not going to lie, it's not very relaxing at times... But I leave feeling fixed every time and it lasts for days. Found this massage place on Groupon. We were a little skeptical because it's in Fremont but we had such a great experience that it became our go-to spot for couples massage. We got the couple's massage for $150 for 75mins. 25 mins foot massage (incl legs) and 50min full body massage with hot stones. When you come in you'll choose what smell you want (eucalyptus or lavender). I always choose lavender. They also ask you any areas that you want to them to focus extra on. Mine is my upper back and shoulders. I've been to other massage places and this place is the only place that gets it right every time. We love Lily and Lulu because they know what they're doing and when they focus on our problem areas, they actually pay attention to it.   They have individual rooms, and they have a couples room. Their couples room have two big chairs for the foot massage. And they have two massage tables for the full body massage. They have promos on somedays but we haven't tried those out. Well I've definitely had better massages. My boyfriend and I came for a couples massage and they asked us to tip before our massage, we got there at 6:45pm (they close at 9:00pm) and said we had to tip before the massage because the register would be closed by the time we were done... weird but I did it without asking questions. I got a Groupon for a 75 minute couples massage for $160 and tipped our masseuses before the massage. The 70% of the time our masseuses we're talking very loudly to each other, it was not relaxing as it could've been. I tried to just close my eyes and relax but my boyfriend and I couldn't help but exchange nervous laughs and glances when they tried to engage in conversation with us when our eyes were closed or just speak loudly amongst themselves. They only massaged our backs and feet and then said we we're done. We were so confused at the end because we know we did not get the full 75 minutes. The ladies kept leaving to get things and we're unprepared. They have a sign that said if you're not satisfied speak to the front desk but no one was there by the time we were finished so we just left unsatisfied. My boyfriend had to use the restroom but the ladies handed us water and practically pushed us out and he felt uncomfortable having to go back inside to find the bathroom. I completely understand being ready for the end of the day after working since we came in a little later but I wish we could've had a better experience since I've gotten much better full body massages for a better price.
