Im addicted to this place. I could try something new each time and love it as much as I do all the other dishes. My all time favorite is thai red curry with shrimp and the tom yum soup with shrimp... just the right amount of tasty spicy... if you even think you like thai food you need to go here... don't bother with papaya thai in south norwalk. I've eaten in and taken out from here many time. 4 stars for take out. 3 stars when you eat here. The change in stars is definitely because of the service. Service is very slow and rarely are you checked on by your server. However the food here is outstanding! The Tom Yum soup (you can substitute the shrimp for chicken) and Tom Kar soup are addictive. Basil chicken is delicious. It's spicy so beware if you aren't a fan of spice. The more mild entrees include the drunken noodles and pad Thai. Get the Thai tea! I often stop here just to get that. Everything now tastes very over-spiced and over-done. Food has a very heavy feeling to it, with too much sugar, cornstarch, or whatever. Starting to go the route of bad Chinese food. I order from Thai Spice quite often as the people in my office also share my affinity for Thai Food. I have had the Chicken and Beef Satay, the Beef Pad Thai, and the Mee Grob. My coworkers have also enjoyed numerous other tasty dishes from this restaurant. I will say that their Tom Yum soup is one of the best that I have had. As far as delivery goes, we have never had an issue with them delivering to us, at any time during the day. I have not eaten in at Thai Spice, but I am aware that is a cozy location, and have nothing to report on this matter. read more

Decent lunch place in Norwalk. Service is friendly and prompt and my favorite of the meal was the Tom Yum soup which was refreshingly sour and had plenty of big shrimp in it. I also had the Shrimp Drunken Noodles which was also tasty with tons of shrimp but it was actually a bit overkill with how much shrimp was in it. I would have preferred a bit more noodles in the dish. The only downside was that it was a bit pricey for lunch, but it is a decent option if you are in the area. read more

Went in for a quick late night snack. Dumplings (pan fried) and mango sweet sticky rice. A few of the dumplings were a little chewy on the edge but still delicious. The mango with sweet sticky rice was PERFECT! I will stop by again just for the dessert. read more

I've tried this place twice so far (dine-in and takeout) and both times I was impressed. The Thai Massaman Curry (coconut, potatoes, onions, peanuts and massaman paste) was excellent (sauce was very peanut-y), as was the Nasi Goreng (with vegetables & tofu - not greasy at all, very flavorful). First time here, written up in CT magazine as one of the top restaurants in CT. Read the reviews and tried summer rolls, green curry, basil eggplant and chicken w/basil. Recommend sharing dishes and order one less main (3 people 2 mains). Green curry very spicy, delicious but very rich. Spring roll wrap was gluey ( I have had better). Chicken basil excellent and the eggplant good. Definitely no atmosphere. Would come back for a mid week quick dinner. read more

Thai Spice is the best Thai cuisine restaurant in Norwalk. It's really excellent, quality food. The staff and owners are friendly people. The food is consistently prepared with attention to detail. I've eaten here a couple times, and get delivery often as well. I love that the spicy dishes are actually spicy, and the food is not greasy. The currys are delicious and fragrant. Sometimes it's a bit slow in there, so I hope more people go to keep this place running, and keep them here. read more

The best Thai I have had in a while - maybe ever! Hubby and I stopped here for dinner while passing through CT. This is convenient right off the Merrit Parkway. I had the drunken noodles which were honestly better than I've had other places. Really, really delicious flavor. My husband had the green curry tofu and is still raving about it days later. The first time I ordered food from here I was underwhelmed. I have since gotten take out at least six times and had my mind changed. Pad Thai has a perfect balance of tamarind sauce, peanut, and lime. Curry is perfectly spiced at mild level (most places either burn you alive or put zero kick). This is an update to a review I posted serval months ago. Immediately after the incident of my order being mixed up, the manager called me and offered me a free meal. He apologized for the confusion. I never took them up on the free meal but I have gone back for take out and a couple dine in meals. The customer service was a lot better and the food was good. Always my go to thai place. Massaman Curry is great and to make it stretch I order a side of steamed veggies and add it in to make it healthier so I use less rice. this place is a terrible disappointment. first off, dont ever, ever order anything for delivery. you WILL wait an exorbitant amount of time and your food will be cold. so i can forgive crappy delivery, whatever. i just got carryout, ordered in the restaurant, and got home with microwaved pad thai. now i know i'm an average white guy, but to assume i won't know the difference between fresh and microwaved rice noodles is a bit of an insult. even had it not been microwaved, it still woud have been tasteless with mealy chicken. gross, gross, gross. also, who puts corn in a spring roll? that's just nasty. i gave 2 stars because the curry puffs were good despite screwing that up as well, giving me potato instead of chicken. in summation, thai spice is not good if you like thai food. or any food for that matter. don't go, there HAS to be somewhere better. read more

I went here recently with my girlfriend on a Saturday night after reading some good reviews on Yelp. We had gone to Papaya Thai a few times before so we wanted to try something new. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. The place is very small, but we had reservations so we were fine with our table. All the tables are close together so you can hear most tables conversations. Not a big deal, but normally there's some music to limit the awkwardness. We ordered spring rolls to start, the Pad Thai, and Pra Raam. 45 minutes later, they brought the spring rolls. They were delicious...very light and perfectly cooked. Another 15-20 minutes later they brought the food out. The Pad Thai was excellent. The Pra raam was good as well...nice spice and good flavor, but a bit heavy. While the food was great, and price was reasonable, I'll never go back due to the service. It took over an hour to get our meal, and the server seemed completely indifferent...never checking how things were or if we needed anything. I'll order takeout, but will never eat there again...go to Papaya Thai for a better experience and great food. read more

This is my go-to place for a quick bite. I usually call ahead and pick up my food. I especially like the Papaya salad, the shrimp salad and the summer shrimp rolls. My winter order is the Tom Yom Noodle soup (usually get shrimp or chicken) or the basil shrimp with brown rice. At home, I add more shitake mushrooms, broccoli and carrots to the Tom Yom soup. The staff is always pleasant. I have also taken friends and colleagues there. A big plus is that there is no MSG in their food. I've gone to other Thai restaurants and can taste the MSG. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I think that at times I've noticed some inconsistency with the dishes from lunch to dinner. read more
