The food is OK only. I would not go out of my way to eat here, but if I was craving Thai and didn't want to drive, this restaurant would suffice. I would be cautious and check your to-go orders, as my experience today was ordering Pad Ke Mao (often known as Drunken Noodles), which is based on rice noodles, but when I got home and opened up the dish I saw they substituted a lot of rice for the noodles and there was very little of the protein or vegetables. This was a lunch order, so the person in the kitchen brought me the to-go bag, and thus made a conscious decision not to tell me of their substitution. You don't get repeat business nor good reviews w/ that sort of short term short-cut taking. read more

Came here randomly while passing through back to NY. My friend and I were the only ones in the restaurant. It did take a little while to come out, but it was good. Maybe they actually cook things to order... Food was spicy and delicious. Tom Yum was very good - some of the better I have had. My friend is vegan and they made sure not to use fish sauce for her - and they actually kept their word and didnt (she can taste the difference). Nice enough spot off the main drag in Norwalk, on the smaller side, but they utilize the space well. The service was great, and the staff was very friendly/accomidating. It was a Thursday evening, so the crowd was lite, I could imagine it feeling cramped if it was really busy. I had leaving a bad review.. but.. I don't understand the deal here. I'll break it down: 1. There were at least 3 people working, but I waited to be seated for 5+ mins, and there were 2 other parties seated eating. No waitstaff at all to be seen in those 5 mins, and I could tell they were looking around too. 2. Once ordered, I wanted to try 2 different entrees, and they didn't see to want me to order 2. I thought I communicated what I wanted, but I only ended up getting 1. 3. The food wasn't that good. It was below average, under seasoned. 4. After I finished, a few more people came in, again, no wait staff showing up for 5+ mins, the other tables were trying to flag down the one that was there. I tried as well. There was a second waitress, but she just hid in the back for some odd reason. Maybe she was cooking too? Maybe she didn't speak english? 5. One family seemed to have lots of issues, as they had someone who was allergic to soy. They had clearly communicated, but the owner didn't understand. Excellent food and an excellent location (very close to where I live). They have a lunch menu before 3pm and the prices are very reasonable at lunch time. The red curry is an amazing dish! The green curry is also excellent and very spicey. Portion sizes are large for the price and you will have some to take home with you even for lunch portions. The staff is nice and the wait time on a Saturday afternoon was not long at all. They also have an online ordering option to order through a website or through the Paypal app on your phone. I am only giving this 4 stars and not 5 because the parking lot is very small and the dine in area is also very small. It would be nice if this place was a bit bigger. The most favorite Thai food I have ever had around here. I have tried many other Thai restaurants in a number of different towns in CT from Hartford to Greenwich. This is the best authentic one. When you come here, you will definitely need to there Thai-style chicken wings and pan-fried pork or basil chicken dumplings. Just make sure you do not forget to tell them you want the wings Thai style. Also, the papaya salad which Thai food fans know well. They have the best authentic one here. And if you are Thai, tell them to make it Lao style. Their Pad Thai is also the best in town. You will love it with shrimp and glass noodle, I swear. Come check them out. You might like there cashew and they are also well known for their basil dishes, duck dishes and drunken noodle. Yeah, so I am still on my Pad Thai kick. We went at lunch. This a nice small cozy place which is fine. Staff was fine. The lunch portion of Pad Thai is enough for two. They don't give you the option to add spice, but they did give us some sort if hot sauce in the side. As served was fine, had a good a flavor. The hot sauce was not great at all. We arrived a little after 7 and there were only 2 or so tables of people, which I found odd. By the time we left, the place was full. Keeping it simple, here's what we ordered: Summer Shrimp Rolls - I wasn't impressed with these, they had zero flavor Lime Chili Shrimp - Great flavor and nice presentation Tom Kar soup - This was probably the star of the meal, amazing! So good we ordered a quart to go. Yellow Curry - Tasted just like a yellow curry should Pra Raam with Chicken - Tasty peanut sauce Mee Duck Noodle Soup - Good flavored broth, crispy duck Overall it was an enjoyable meal. The portions were a great size and we had leftovers to bring home. Ordered a noodle soup and the noodles were way way overcooked and was stuck together in one big clump and wouldn't separate. It felt like I was eating a huge noodle meatball. I mentioned this to them and they didn't really care. I asked for a different type of noodle and they charged me for it. Many other places you can get a better noodle soup for cheaper than $18. So disappointing and they were just giggling in the background. read more

In town from Chicago, I went to Thai Spice for dinner last night. This is some good Thai food. I would be hard pressed to find better cuisine in the windy city. All of the dishes we had were very flavorful, packed with fresh spices. The kitchen was a bit slow as several large groups arrived at once but other than that everything was great. We thoroughly enjoy authentic Thai cuisine. They got it right here. We had the Thai salad (which in most places they provide you a small plate) which was huge (iceberg, tomatoes, red onions, cilantro and hard boiled egg with a delicious peanut dressing at just the right consistency). The kids had chicken pad thais which also were seasoned just right and a bit drunken (vs dried, if you know the difference). I ordered the mango fish curry which was just amazing. Filet which was cooked in a mango, curry and coconut sauce. ALL the flavors mixed beautifully. My husband had woon sen soup which he wasn't impressed with (flavors were there but not sufficiently). I used to order delivery from here almost daily when I was pregnant. They even catered to my pregnant whims and added and removed various ingredients from my order to make it exactly how I wanted. I checked this place right after it opened up here in Norwalk. Being a huge fan of Papaya Thai, I was hoping this place could become a second choice for good Thai food. I was NOT disappointed. The atmosphere is a bit sparce, but the wait staff is very helpful and the prices are reasonable. The night my wife & I went, I had Pad Thai (my favorite -- see my other reviews) and she had Chow Fun. The Pad Thai was incredible... in some ways better than what I was used to. My wife really like the Chow Fun, but added it's "hard to mess that up." Well whatever the cooks are doing, they should keep it up. I will be returning! read more

It's kinda hard to figure out the star rating. The food is amazing but the service..when calling for take out or delivery. When trying to make an order..most of the time the person on the other end can't understand you. Half the time my order is messed up. I ordered today and the delivery guy called me and I had to go out to his car (while he was on his phone texting) and get my food. What laziness! Then I gave him my money and he wasn't prepared with enough change. I'm sorry but i've worked in food service my boss would not tolerate this kind of service.
