    Mix Combo Singapore Rice Noodle

The food was pretty good, we'd definitely go back. My daughter and boyfriend really liked the orange chicken. We had asked for shrimp rice noodles but the combo was okay, except the beef. It was not tasty and it was tough. Service was not great but not bad.

Friendly family owned business. We ordered a variety of items off the menu and everything was hot, fresh and flavorful!

Outside. The restaurant is inside the mall.

It was one of my…read morefavorite restaurants growing up, so when I recently visited home in DFW, I had to go back. And wow, the taste is the exact same. The decor is the exact same. The people are the exact same. It was truly a feeling of nostalgia that's hard to describe. My favorite dish has always been, and still is, the bamboo shoots with pork. It is so fragrant, umami, and simply delicious. The west lake soup is also a classic done so well - pro tip to add white pepper to give it a little kick. The steamed pork belly was okay - sauce is flavorful (a touch salty) along with the preserved greens but the pork wasn't as tender as I had remembered it. The fish filets are fried to perfection, full of salt/pepper flavor, and pairs well with the jalapeños. If you don't like fish, you can get the same flavor with the pork version of this dish, which I also really like. The service can be a little slow because it's just 1 chef and 1 waitress who own the restaurant - same people that have run the show since I first came here probably almost 30 years ago! Incredible to see them still working so hard and serving delicious food. They'll never know how much their restaurant and food means to me!

Great flavor and the pork didn't have that weird pork taste some Asian places have. The crispy smoked duck pancake was awesome and worth the steeper price. I wasn't a fan of the sauce alone, but in the pancake was excellent. The eggroll was a decent eggroll and the duck sauce that came with it was the best sauce I've had with an eggroll. The lady working was sweet and was working her butt off with the 5 tables she had. Felt great to support a local business. The restaurant itself is out dated but the tables and utensils were clean. The atmosphere added to the experience and the background music was just perfection.

Inside was ground ball of unrecognizable meat with weak broth. Nothing else. Beef/broccoli was ok. Broccoli was fresh. Sauce had a different flavor probably due to the Vietnamese touch. The 'orange' chicken was the best thing even tho it too had a bit "different" flavor that definitely wasn't orange flavor with no sauce. Real Chicken breast meat and fried just right. But overall once and Done! Lots of locals were there so maybe the vietnamese dishes are better? Menu had US alphabet spelled words that we couldn't say next to Asian titles. Some kind of big, non working equipment was sitting right insude the entrance with tubes hanging out. Ugh. Staff was very indifferent. So the search for a good Chinese restaurant goes on.

But as soon as 9 hit, the place really started to fill up, they close at 11 pm. It looks to be family run. The menu reminded me of First Chinese BBQ, with a big selection of Chinese-Vietnamese dishes. This is a family style restaurant, you get a big pot of rice, and the entrees are meant to be shared. The food was delicious comfort food.

Unfortunately, after our visit this past Sunday, we won't be returning. On our very first plate, my sister found an aluminum wire mixed into her fried rice. Not a hair, not a bone but an actual wire. As you can imagine, everyone at the table immediately lost their appetite. We flagged down the waitress, and she quickly took the plate away before anyone else nearby could see it. Thankfully, I managed to take a photo. She brought the manager over, and his explanation made the situation even worse. He claimed that the wire must have come from the "brush they use to clean," and insisted it was okay. That reasoning made absolutely no sense. If the wire came from a cleaning brush, why wasn't the wok rinsed properly? And if it somehow ended up inside the fried rice, what exactly is going on in the kitchen? How many people have eaten these wires without noticing over the years? Food safety is not something to be brushed off with excuses. This was our last visit here. If you care about cleanliness and proper kitchen standards, I would proceed with caution.
