Food was tasty and fresh. Kinda thought the serving portion was a little scarce for the price. Mind you, I wasn't expecting a ton of food, but was expecting something more than I received...

It might be nice if all reviews were 100% objective, but that impractical when you're comparing a burger dive in a one horse town with a Pappas Bros or Perini steakhouse. So, this is a relative rating among Asian fast food establishments. It's also a "hopeful" rating because I hope these folks do well. We stopped in for an evening meal at about 6:30pm on a Wednesday. They weren't busy, and we were able to order immediately. The menu was on a board and ordering was at the register. Everything was clear, but the helpful guy behind the corner was ready to answer any questions. My only disappointment was that most of the their fountain drinks were not working and they had no tea available. I didn't know that until I ordered a drink. My wife ordered water, which was free. Our orders were brought to the table quickly. That justifies my "fast food" tag. Being fast doesn't mean it's not great. It just means it's quick and hot. Nothing fancy, but well prepared and served in an appealing fashion. I had kung pao chicken and my wife had sweet and sour chicken. She said hers tasted great, and especially liked that all of her chicken was white meat. Mine was very tasty also. I've had this dish at many places and some are "sparse" with maybe some green onions, peanuts, sauce and chicken. I was pleasantly surprised to find squash, with red and green bell peppers. Everything is prepared in the open kitchen so it's easy to see all of it is fresh. The fried rice had plenty of egg, tiny dices of carrot and peas. The rich itself was all separate grains with no clumping. It was more than adequate and had very good flavor. All in all five stars.

This restaurant is a really interesting concept of Asian x Nigerian fusion. I am not usually a fan of fusion restaurants as I don't think many do it well but this spot got it right. Everything I tasted was very flavorful. I especially enjoyed the Yaji Fried Rice that I ordered and the Mongolian Suya Beef that my friend ordered. Being that this is a new establishment, it wasn't too busy when we went and we received star treatment from all of the staff that attended to us. The decor and layout are light and unfussy lending to a chill & laid-back environment. There was fun music playing in the background that still allowed for ample conversation. I could see this restaurant being a nice place to come and study while enjoying a great meal during the week as well as an enjoyable spot for friends to meet up over the weekend.

Didn't take them long to raise their prices on DoorDash by 25%, double their delivery fee (.99 to 1.99) and cut out their deals.

What I appreciated most was that he listened and acknowledged my concerns without trying to explain them away. As a customer, I felt heard and valued. Adam invited me back for the next Ramen Night, and this time I brought friends. We were seated in a booth and ordered the featured ramen, which happened to be a gumbo ramen. It wasn't quite my taste--there was a lot going on flavor-wise--but the service experience was completely different. The restaurant felt much less hectic, and the hospitality really stood out. Eric walked us through the menu, made excellent drink recommendations, and made sure our waters never went empty. We also had the ube dessert, which was unexpectedly delicious. Everyone at the table was scraping the plate clean. A special shoutout to Stephanie at the host stand, who also made sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. Another noticeable improvement: the kitchen packed our leftovers for us instead of having guests juggle large bowls of broth at the table. Overall, this was the elevated dining experience and level of care I expect from a restaurant of this caliber. I'm looking forward to seeing who the guest chef is and what ramen creation they'll feature next month!

I had two seasonal signatures that were perfect summer refreshers. My first was a pineapple rum cocktail called Lewis Street Daiquiri. The second was a very creative spin on a Negroni made with tequila instead of gin. Lewis Street Daiquiri uses a pineapple rum combined with Yuzu Kosho cordial. A yuzu kosho cordial is a sweet, syrup flavored with yuzu citrus and a spicy Japanese chili paste. It's a creative way bartenders add sweetness, acidity, and a spicy kick to recipes. It definitely had all of that along with a bit of a sour feel to it with some light froth from some vigorous shaking. It's really tasty. The second cocktail is JuJu's Negroni. I've never seen a tequila Negroni variation. They use a Blanco tequila, JuJu's coffee, Pamplemousse (grapefruit), and coconut. JuJu is a local East Dallas coffee shop around the corner from MHB. I love the local touch to use a neighbor's ingredient. I cant remember why is has a red tint given the ingredients, but it must be the combination of the coffee and grapefruit liqueur. I think i remember them saying they clarified some combination of the ingredients, but i cant remember. Regardless, it was delicious ams you should definitely try it. You don't need an excuse to go to MHB because it's one of the best restaurants in Dallas and is Michelin recommended. I would go@back for both of these cocktails like we do for the world famous garlic noodles. Go try these beauties and visit our hood because it's one of the best joints we have to offer in Dallas.
