Chicken satay

The service is okay but nice pleasant staff The food is awesome ! Such great flavors We decided we could have skipped the appetizers - they were okay but our meals were the best part of our dining experience by far !

Drunken noodles in the background. Massaman curry and jasmine rice in the front.

Simply the BEST! I have been to many Thai restaurants all over the East coast, Phoenix area and in SF. Aroy Dee is a level above the rest. There is something different and delicious about how they spice, prepare and present their delicious Thai fare. You must experience this treasure for yourself. The Tom Kar soup and Tender Squid were exquisite. The Massaman Curry is absolutely delicious! The flavors and spices in the Drunken Noodles complimented each other beautifully! It is family run and the cooking is done with love!

Funny how long it took us to check out Aroy Dee. Glad we finally did. I think that it's too early to early to render a final opinion but so far so good. Sushi app was excellent, wife had a curry dish which was delish, and I had duck which would have been better if it wasn't over cooked. You shouldn't have to ask for your duck to be cooked medium rare (because that's how it is supposed to be served). My guess is that's early on it was served correctly and the yentas and rednecks kept sending it back, complaining that "My duck isn't cooked all the way!" figuring it was easier to serve it over well done for the epicurean inept. Uggh! Glens Falls strikes again. We'll try again and update review since Mikado is circling the drain lately...

We came here for dinner because it seems like everyplace that's in the town of Lake George just isn't good unless it's pizza. We ordered some tom yum soup and crab rangoon for appetizers. The tom yum soup was good with a good spice and the crab rangoon was crunchy and creamy. For dinner, we got chicken teriyaki which was piping hot, but the chicken was good and not dried out, and it had a flavorful sauce. We also ordered the pad see-eew with beef and that also tasted good and the meat wasn't dried out. We wanted to order the pavlova for dessert, but they ran out, and it seemed like they ran out of a lot of menu items from over hearing the waitress. The service was slow, but that can be like most places in these small towns that have hiring issues. Overall, not a bad spot with plenty of parking.

Small, homey ambience.. great service.. reasonable prices.. fantastic food! Sashimi is fresh & with great flavor. Best chicken satay I've ever had (& I've had a lot!). Peanut sauce has just the right amount of chili spice. The duck had wonderful crispy skin & the veggies and sauce brought the heat. This is not our first time going there & it most definitely not our last!! Looking forward to lots more date nights to explore this menu

I want to give this 5 stars so bad... the food and the aesthetic really is as amazing as you're seeing in these reviews and pictures. But the wait overall was LONG. I believe the dinner took us 1.5-2 hours? Sun was up when we walked in, sun was gone when we left hahaha. BUT if you have the time- definitely add this to your go to list! We felt transported to someone's living room. Such a wow factor to have driven up and find this restaurant inside a house! All the little details, from the sunflowers outside to the Thai trinkets and decorations, made this a really unique and special dining experience for my family and I. I held back on ordering more sushi because I had a ton before this visit but THE NIGIRI WAS CHEAP!! Had I known, I would have eaten way more sushi than I did because not only was it extremely reasonable, but they were generous with the fish added! Another favorite was the Masaman curry. Love, love how it was presented! The curry is also not too salty nor thick. Overall, love this place but be prepared to spend some time here!

Drunken Noodle with Scallops

Great Thai food and good prices. All the ingredients we very fresh. The flavors were vibrant without being heavy-handed. Beer and wine available. Critiques: - only four scallops on the Drunken Noodles with Scallops, quite a contrast to the amount of chicken on our Chicken with Cashews. If you are going to charge a premium for seafood when there is a choice of proteins then you can't reduce the portions AND charge more. - While the restaurant was clean, the decor was a bit dated and dingy.

We drove 30 minutes to get to this restaurant because all the restaurants in the town we were staying in were terrible. It was worth every single minute! We made a reservation ahead of time and glad we did because the restaurant was busy. Staff was great and attentive. The food was so tasty. The Thai food items were definitely better than the sushi. The shrimp tempura roll was a little bland. All of our other items were absolutely delicious. The ambiance was nice and cozy. The serving pots for our entrees were unique. Will definitely go again!

You'll definitely see and hear everyone. It's all open and pretty squeezed together. It's not bad, you just need to be prepared. This isn't a fine dining restaurant. It's a really nice to go place that will also put the food on plates so you can stay and eat it inside. The sushi is generous and delicious. We like to sit at the bar and watch the guy make it right there. The drunken noodles and Spicy chicken pad Thai are good. I feel that the Rama garden is underwhelming. The chicken seems precooked and blah with a peanut sauce poured over it. Watch out if you order any dish as "spicy" they'll just dump crushed red pepper on your order after it's cooked. The staff are amazing. They're always happy, accommodating, and very attentive. It's really clear that they care. We go here a couple times per month. I've never been disappointed. There's a parking lot and some gorgeous decor inside. The restrooms are sparkling clean. The service is top-notch and the staff is happy to answer any questions about allergies. And the food... yummy. My party of 6 enjoyed pork, duck, and beef. We passed each others plates in a circle and sampled everything. I was a big fan of the salmon at Van's and almost went with that at Saigon but was convinced to try something different so I went with the pork. I'm not usually a pork fan but I've had Vietnamese pork before and enjoyed it. The pork here was perfection. I enjoyed my usual small bowl of Shrimp and Pork Wonton Soup ($8.00) with tender dumplings, egg noodles, scallions, cilantro, and crispy shallots in a flavorful broth. Best ever. Upon my recommendation, we both ordered the Shaking Beef, or Bò Lúc Lắc, ($25.) which is a delicious Vietnamese dish of marbled cubes of beef tossed in all the good stuff: soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, a little sugar, butter, garlic, and black pepper. Everything is shaken around in the wok to get a nice all-around sear, hence the name...Shaking Beef! We enjoyed it with Brown Rice instead of Jasmine. Kudos: The cubed filet mignon was cooked perfectly; it was tender and pink in middle. Outstanding! Two reactions: --I did not like the lime dipping sauce because it was very salty (grains of Sea Salt intact)served in a small dish that was on the plate, so next time I will order another type of sauce. However, the beef was flavorful without it. --There were too many sliced red onions and not enough spring onions. Our two orders to go (Pho with Filet and Chicken Wings) were ready when we finished lunch. Grandsons were delighted! Service was efficient and courteous as usual.

We started with a delightful 'avacado bomb', which was delicious, and the highlight of the meal, but everything else came out in reverse order- I received in order, my secondary sushi order (an extra roll) then my main dinner (sushi regular). I asked if the soup and salad that was supposed to come with my dinner would be coming, and was assured they would be. On the next trip to my table, the salad came, followed a minute later by my appetizer, the bao buns (mediocre at best). I asked again and finally got the overly salty miso soup. My wife ordered bulgolgi bibimbap dolsot- it did not come out in a stone bowl- instead she had a pile of very wet beef, onion, pepper stir fry, with a side of white rice. Not bibimbap. The flavors were ok, but what I'd expect from a takeout Chinese place. Overall, fairly disappointing for the price point.
