We love Thai but on this occasion, we were not looking to eat here, we were going to try a seafood place close by, but wait was 1 hour there so we decided to walk over to look at the menu. The place was busy but was moving fast, we got seated within 5 mins. Got the mango curry with chick and shrimp, chicken katsu, shrimp katsu, beef noodle soup, and the snow crab fried rice. Beef noodle soup was just okay, but man the snow crab fried rice and the mango curry was amazing. Mango curry is probably the best curry I had for a long time. WHERE'S THE FISH SAUCE? "Thai Thai" certainly is a catchy name for the popular group of local restaurants, but serving Thai cuisine the restaurants do not...at least not at this location. So what's the big deal about fish sauce? Fish sauce is, along with coconut milk and some select spices also blatantly missing from Thai Thia's dishes, one of the foundational ingredients of true Thai cooking...one simply cannot leave it out and still say they are cooking Thai food...they are not. Why bring this up? Beginning to partake in and looking forward to enjoying my meal yesterday, after just a few bites I noticed something didn't taste right. The waitress ultimately explained they no longer cook with nor even have any fish sauce in the kitchen. The restaurant has apparently allowed itself to be forced by some of it's local patrons' complaints to remove this offensively "stinky" ingredient from their dishes. I get it...truly. This was purely a business decision by the owners to cater to the flavors locals are accustomed to in other American restaurants and their own kitchens. Better not to offend your patrons with what they perceive as a disagreeable flavor or scent. However, I believe this was a grave miscalculation and most certainly a disservice to the greater community. Maybe there is some value though to introducing and easing folks into a new experience that maybe will grow on them and inspire them to delve deeper into real Thai food elsewhere. In the meantime, while enough people love the restaurant, Thai Thai is robbing its patrons of a truly wonderful and one-of-a-kind cuisine, one in another galaxy from American or European cooking. To be blunt, Thai Thai's food is far too bland and misses key ingredients to respectfully be called Thai food. Traditional Thai cuisine is composed of an assortment of unique ingredients, some exotic, some very simple and common, all masterfully and elegantly crafted into a delicate explosion of flavor and spice. It gifts the diner a delightful sensory experience, the likes of which no other cuisine on the planet can offer. Truly authentic and traditional Thai cooking can of course be found primarily in the homes of local Thais or Thailand itself, but there are some excellent options around the area and Florida in general...not to mention all over the U. S. I've spent nearly 30 years dining in Thai restaurants in every city I've visited in the U. S. as well as in some foreign countries (I've made it a point to do so, and still do), and in the homes and kitchens of Thai friends...almost all of them restaurant owners. I also grow Thai ingredients and have been an avid amateur Thai chef for some years now. So, while Thai Thai's food itself is decent and enough people like it, let's be honest and call this an American "Thai style" or " Thai inspired" restaurant. If you believe you are eating Thai here, you are missing out in a big way. If you are in fact just a little adventurous and interested in experiencing authentic Thai cuisine, Brevard offers just a few establishments...not many, but they are truly worth the visit...it will change your whole perspective on one of the most amazing cuisines on the planet. If you want American food, well, then let Thai cooking be Thai cooking and go eat a steak, burger, ribs, chicken, trout or whatever...you'll find plenty of options nearby. And Thai Thai, I congratulate you on having successfully created a local favorite and nearly iconic name; that does take hard work, commitment, and sacrifice. But, please consider the roots of your offerings and your name...bring back the fish sauce and add other real Thai ingredients. In the meantime, "Two Stars," because while your food, service, and ambiance are actually quite OK, you sold out to the masses, turned your back on your traditional cooking, and still call yourself a Thai restaurant. Plus an unofficial star for super friendly folks up front who took our takeout order. Staying at a nearby hotel on the beach and a couple with take out boxes in the elevator recommended Thai Thai. They ate-in the night before and ordered again the following night, so we gave it a try. Pretty decent sushi and rolls plus Thai dishes. We had a few rolls and sushi plus a fish soup and a Miso - look for the free Miso Yelp check-in special. We ordered a wine and a beer while we waited for our food. The host was nice enough to bring them to us. Definitely try this place as an alternative to the fried seafood type fare in the area. read more

Not sure why I haven't reviewed my favorite restaurant Beachside, but here we go. My wife and I eat here at least once a week and are never disappointed. Great sushi, curry, duck, etc. Their tom kha goong is the best I've ever had. Lunch pricing is very reasonable. The servers also make us feel like family. Yes, we go there all the time so they know us, but they are really pleasant to all the clientele. The only thing I don't like is, when the new owners (who are awesome) took over, they changed the fish from snapper to tilapia. I miss their crispy snapper! As I walked in the hostess was very nice. The first waitress that took brought our beverages was very nice. The second waitress was very rude. I ordered the miso soup, and I did not like it all. I told her and she said" well that's what comes with the meal". She shrugged and rolled her eyes as if she prepared it. She could've asked if I wanted to get the salad instead, but she didn't. Ordered thai ice tea, lunch special pad thai and volcano chicken (fried chunks in sweet sauce) which comes with egg drop soup and spring rolls. Everything, and I mean absolutely everything, from the soup to the drinks to the sides to the actual meal, it was all delicious. The portions were big for lunch. The pad thai noodles were not gummy at all, cooked just right. The sauce coated every noodle and was amazing. I would recommend the chicken pad thai. 4 out of 5 stars because the service wasn't the best, but it doesn't deter me from eating at Thai Thai II again and would definitely recommend eating the aforementioned entrees (chicken pad thai and volcano chicken) for lunch. Friends and I visited for a quick dinner. Atmosphere isn't perfect in that you're sitting in a strip mall but the food is delicious. Crab Rangoon to start. Overstuffed and crispy makes them super flavorful. I had the sea roll with spicy tuna. Three different sauces and a crunchy sprinkle on top is just outstanding. We also had tofu pad Thai. After about 10 minutes a waiter came over and asked me if I was waiting to place an order. Really? I ordered summer rolls. Disappointing. They should be lettuce rolls because they were 90% lettuce I found 1 basil leaf and a couple rice noodles. The shrimp was sparse as well. The role were very bland. Next came the mango curry ordered after yelp suggestions. The broth was good with just the right amount of spice. Note - review is for Sushi only. The first thing that struck me about Thai Thai II was that there was a wait. This was a first for us in Florida, especially at this fairly out-of-the-way location in Indialantic. As we waited I perused the menu -- it was seriously - miles and miles long. Their takeout menu is basically a 11x17 piece of paper, folded in half, and covered front and back in tiny-8-point font with lists of their offerings. Every inch of this paper is covered with text, except for a tiny half-inch margin on the sides. Some samples of their offers: -Thai Lunch Specials - 13 items - $6.95-8.95 -Japanese Lunch Specials - 14 items - $8.95 - $15.95 -Thai Appetizers - 13 items, including a lobster salad for $8.95 Makimono Sushi Roll - 41 items, including a Kimchee roll with conch, cucumber, asparagus, spinach, scallion and roe with kimchee sauce ($7.95) Fish - 6 items - $16.95 Duck - 4 items - 16.95 Noodles - 8-19 items, depending on the options selected for various dishes. - $8.95 - 16.95 As it turned out, we probably didn't get to sample as much of the menu as one might have wanted. We have alas, limited capacities in our bellies, and with only 5 dining, we decided to settle on sushi. The boy and I decided to leave the ordering up to Uncle John, who had been there many times before. There was so much food. Perhaps 50+ pieces of sashimi, over 100 pieces of nigiri sushi; 10 different rolls; 2 dishes of poke. The staff kept asking whether we were really serious about all that sushi, and prior to coming out with the food kept returning to ask us if we wanted to pare down. Not a chance. We started with some fantastic Sunomono appetizers of Crab, Conch, and Octopus, topping cucumber salad. The Conch was my favuourite, and was so utterly tender and delicate - almost velvety. Sprinkled with toasted white sesame seeds and scallions, I felt I could go on eating it forever. And then the sushi boats arrived - 3 enormous boats in ascending size -- the first one exclusively sashimi, layered over ice; the next housing a boat within a boat, with sashimi as well as nigiri + rolls; the last completely dedicated to nigiri, rolls, and a martini glass of salmon poke. I'm not sure how we did it, but I think I was able to put as much away as I did by separating the rice from the nigiri slices, and eating sashimi exclusively for a while. All the fish was exceptionally fresh - every slice fantastic, especially an amazing shiro-maguro toro that was exceptionally buttery. At the end, all that remained amongst the devastation and the carnage was something like a couple of the rolls scattered forlornly throughout the boats. We took those home. Wallet damage was an amazing $252, including tip. Yes, we had stayed away from drinking too much -- all we ordered was about a bottle of sapporo each. The entire experience was amazing. I highly recommend arriving with a group of friends, and replicating the experience. There's really nothing quite like attempting drown in piles of sushi. read more

I love Thai food especially panang curry so came to try it out when I saw they had it on the menu. I'm sorry but it was terrible, like none I've ever had before. Straight out of a can with the protein added to it and heated up...no joke. I have eaten panang at a lot of places since I kind of seek it out. Have never before seen it prepared so basic, with no ginger in the broth, and no vegetables added at all. The decor was cute though, the waitress was polite, and they had a good sized crowd. I was rolling my eyes on some of the negative reviews of the food before I tried it myself but now I get it. However, I know one and two stars sting so I'll give y'all 3 as an overall experience just hope you guys up your game on the food. Wow What a pleasant surprise on a rainy Tuesday evening as we normally have our orders delivered from Thai Thai II. The restaurant is pleasant bright and very clean. The service from our attentive server Oly was excellent as she brought things to the table that you didn't have to ask for as did several of her other servers. As I had never eaten there before I went to my tried and true method. When in Thai order the Pad Thai to determine how well they prepared this tradition dish. They did not disappoint , as my seafood Pad Thai was beautifully prepared and the seafood was cooked to perfection. The shrimp scallops and squid were succulent and well seasoned My wife's red chicken curry was excellent also, perfectly spiced to order. I have been a customer for 5ys and have brought many of my GE and Harris customers to your restaurant. In recent memory alone I spent over $3000 with you. Yet I am constantly insulted by how your staff tries to cut corners and gets cheap. Today, I ordered a $54 meal to go and asked for the veggies-for-rice sub. There were no extra vegetables. I would have taken the rice had I known you were going to cheat me. I asked for chilli powder - for 4 dishes, your guy up front gave ONE packet. I asked for chopsticks. He ignored me. I bothered him again, he dug up 2; for 4 orders. Some days you order Thai Spicy and you could feed it to a baby. Some days you order mild and it burns your mouth. You never know how much chicken you'll get. It's like rolling the dice every time. Its pathetic that you are the only Thai restaurant on the island, I hope someone starts a new one (and hires your chefs because they're the real hero's, their food is awesome). You have lost me, my Sales team, my Product team and my customers. Hope you made some margin on those sub'd veggies that you screwed me on. You have a chance to fix this. We've had them for takeout twice in the last week (hello, Thanksgiving burnout) - once for sushi, once for Thai. The Thai was fine, tasty and we'd order again, but not mind blowing. Unfortunately, while the food is generally good, the accuracy is not. I ordered twice on line to pick up. I ordered Green Curry with Shrimp, Extra Extra Spicy. The first order did not have Shrimp but Chicken and was not spicy beyond mild. I called the restaurant when I got the meal home and they told me they would credit me 4.00 for my next order. So, I ordered again a week later....same order, explained the deal from the last order and they had no record of it and refused to take the 4.00 off my order. So I checked it out again to see if my order was accurate....The order had shrimp, but again was mild and not even hot and definitely not Extra Extra Hot as I requested. InAccuracy with food orders for me is a showstopper. It tells me about the care the restaurant gives to their claims of good customer service. I gave Thai Thai a couple opportunities because the food is generally good . However with Thai food, the key for me is the level of spicy hot and accuracy. They failed me in this way twice.
