This is one of our regular spots! The daily happy hour has some great deals on delicious food options and beverages. We like the omakase dinner- $50 per person which is filling and beautifully presented. Also, the Alaskan roll is a fan favorite! Service is fast and friendly and a nice environment in the restaurant for date night to a group dinner!

    Lots of takeout!

Stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting the Melbourne area for a couple days. Boy were really happy we stumbled upon it. The food here is delicious and the ambience is really nice. We end up getting takeout one night as well from here because we were raving about it to the family. I highly recommend the garlic edamame. I could have eaten 2 bowls! Also the salmon belly was the best I've ever had. It was like butter!!

I have to stay upfront that this review is based on an Uber Eats delivery and not eating in the restaurant itself, but even with that, this was really an excellent meal. Not only was it delivered quickly, but it was delivered in the most lovely temperature-controlled takeout bag, nicer than anything I've ever seen for this purpose. Normally, I wouldn't even consider having sushi delivered, but I needed something light, and this seemed like it met all the criteria, and it did. Seaweed salad arrived cold, fresh, and with just the right amount of sesame. The shrimp shuimai were steamed perfectly and not at all tough. The sushi itself was delicious and wonderfully fresh. I was very impressed from beginning to end and can't wait to actually go to visit this place in person.

Where Sushi meets fine dining! Haru is so charming! Located across the street from the ocean, it's a beautiful spot with so many unique and fresh fish options for Japanese food lovers. Our party shared a lot of dishes, being my first time there I wanted to sample as much as I could. The service was fabulous. Our server was attentive, very knowledgeable and everything was served without much of a wait. The dining area is beautiful. Elegantly decorated and very posh. All of our fried appetizers were fantastic! Perfectly battered and fried with generous helpings of seafood and meat. The sushi was very fresh and had a gorgeous presentation and the roll was huge! Again, very generous with portion sizes. The Wagyu appetizer was phenomenal. Brought to the table with a small grill so you can prepare it how you like. So much fun too! The Lobster bisque was out of this world. My steak dish, as beautiful as it was, did lack a little bit of flavor and was overcooked. Being this is not a steakhouse and a place that focuses mostly on seafood and sushi, it was easy to overlook because everything else was so perfect. Thank you Haru, for a wonderful experience

    Hog fish special. Very nice!

A rockin scene early on a Wednesday night. Did not expect the band. Very loud atmosphere.....not conducive to conversation, hearing the specials, etc. Service was prompt and table settings were nice. The food was hit or miss. The cowboy sushi roll got a thumbs up as did the hibachi plates. The shrimp tempura was a bomb but to their credit after our dissatisfaction was noted, it was taken off the bill. Overall a decent experience but due to the noisy atmosphere it is not great for a larger party of older people.

Top notch. Went for an early dinner and sat at the sushi bar for loners. Loved watching and interacting with the sushi chefs. The food was yummy , and so many options !!! Tuna and avacado app with cucumber and spicy sauce was the thing that stole my heart. Many different sushi roll options , really enjoyed it. Will be back , after all they had pad thai on the menu ....for our non sushi loving family members! The one challenge was the varying portion sizes... the tuna and the tempura ice cream were huge , yet the lobster bomb was small.

I wanna eat here every day. Food is outstanding. Wish I would've tried it sooner. Variety of dishes from hibachi to sushi. Nice selection of food & cocktails for happy hour. Service, no complaints. Plenty of bar seating & spacious dining area. Clean restroom.

Lobster tempura roll (top) and crunchy tuna roll (bottom)

Everything was extremely tasty and our group thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. I would recommend this place to anyone coming into town. We got multiple orders of sushi, hibachi, edamame, and calamari. The lychee martini was also a very good and refreshing. I got the crunchy tuna roll and the lobster tempura roll. Our server was also great and did a great job with our large group. There was also someone playing the piano which really enhanced the ambiance.

This restaurant is amazing! We were visiting the area and the hotel suggested them for sushi. I'm so glad they did. Beautiful restaurant with great ambiance and indoor and outdoor seating. There was a piano player when we were there, too. Paul, our waiter, was excellent and friendly. He suggested the la Bomba roll, which was delicious. We also had the gyoza, which were tasty and had a y dipping sauce. The spicy tuna appetizer was also really delicious. The sauces made it over the top. We suggest you try this out if you are in the mood for sushi.

    Crunchy grouper

The restaurant atmosphere was excellent. They had a live music playing and it was wonderful. Service was also excellent and very organized. I ordered sushi. Being Japanese, Im very picky on sushi rice , how they seasoned and texture. Rice seemed little dry and not seasoned enough and Nori (seaweed) was hard to chew. My husband ordered crunchy grouper and it was very good. Also ordered Ikura but tasted a little sweet and never had them sweet do I didnt care for it too much. But it is my favorite so I was little disappointed. But over all it is a very nice to place to eat. I will still go back

This cute bar/grille has an ocean view no matter where you are sitting. There's even some tables on the beach itself if you wanna take off your shoes and sit a spell. Our waitress was helpful and lively. And the food was surprisingly amazing! We only had nachos and drinks because we didn't want to ruin dinner later. But I watched as people Ordered these sky high smash burgers. They looked so damn good! Decent beach bar, but a little too kid-friendly for my taste…read more I came here hoping for dinner on the water, good music, the sound of the ocean, and maybe some friendly conversation with the locals. Instead, one of the main seating areas was partially taken over by strollers, toys, and other kid gear. I understand that restaurants can't control every family that visits, but the overall atmosphere felt more like a playground than a relaxing waterfront dining spot. To the staff's credit, my server was kind enough to move some of the strollers and toys so I could get a seat. Unfortunately, it had just rained and the chairs were still soaked. While I appreciated her making room for me, it would have been nice if someone had also taken a moment to wipe down the seat before it was offered to me. Instead, I had the unpleasant experience of sitting in a sopping wet chair and spent my evening here with a soggy backside, which definitely put a damper on the experience... Pun intended. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, which was good, although I was a little surprised to receive it in a plastic cup. Maybe that's standard here, but it wasn't what I expected. For dinner, I tried the mahi tacos after seeing them mentioned in several reviews. The fish itself was good, but the tacos were absolutely covered in sauce, to the point that it drowned out the taste of everything else. Also, thatsynot what they looked like on the reviews I saw. If I knew they would have so much sauce (or any sauce actually) I would ordered it on the side. I ended up removing most of the sauce-drenched toppings just to taste the fish. I also requested a side salad and was told the only option available for a side salad was a Caesar... despite several salads being listed on the menu. I guess it was too hard to toss some salad greens into a bowl with a side if vinaigrette The parking situation is also very confusing. All the spaces indicate that parking is for guests and there is signage along the fence threatening to tow anyone who parks along the fence. I had to call the restaurant to confirm where guests could park (along the fence, as long as it is not overnight or just to go to the beach) and fortunately my car was still there when I returned from dinner. Overall, the food was decent and the waterfront location is nice. If you're looking for a casual, family-friendly beach bar, this may be a fit. However, if you're hoping for a quieter place to unwind after work or enjoy a peaceful dinner by the water, you definitely want to look elsewhere.

The décor is beautiful, and the combination of indoor seating and large garage doors opening to a spacious outdoor patio creates a fun date-night vibe with excellent beach views. Be aware that the indoor dining area was so loud. We opted to dine al fresco. The drink menu is creative, but cocktails are on the pricey side at around $15+. I tried the seasonal margarita and was surprised by how small the glass was for the cost. To be fair, it was served without ice (just how I prefer it), which likely factored into the size. Even the water glasses seemed unusually small. Service was excellent across the board. The entire staff worked together seamlessly, but the true standout was Peter, the host. When seating guests, he offered a choice between tables, a thoughtful touch I watched him extend to everyone. Throughout the evening, he seemed to be everywhere at once, helping deliver drinks and desserts, checking restrooms and supplies, assisting staff, and ensuring guests were taken care of. The ultimate example of his attentiveness came when I accidentally left my purse behind while walking on the beach. Peter actually started heading toward the beach to make sure I got it back. His attitude, work ethic, and willingness to help in every area made a lasting impression. Food prices are also on the higher side. I wanted to sample a few items, so I ordered two appetizers: the mussels, which were plentiful, and the shrimp and crab cake. I'm very particular about crab cakes, and this one was excellent and highly recommended. The portions were filling, though next time I'll probably order an entrée since the pricing works out similarly. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his double stack smashburger, and we couldn't pass up dessert. The chocolate cake was enormous, incredibly moist, and absolutely delicious. Overall, Boardwalk Bar & Grill offers fantastic views, a great atmosphere, excellent service, and quality food. Just be prepared for premium pricing. If you're looking for a fun beachside date night with outstanding hospitality, it's definitely worth a visit.
