A+++ minus the fact, now I want to try Thai Thai 1 (bad joke?) My wife and I came here to escape for a day (Melbourne) and this restaurant was across the street from the hotel. I ordered way to much (why not) ordered the Godzilla, and some other dish, as well as crab rangoon, and my wife ordered a shrimp tempura roll. The Godzilla.. will be what I'm back for, this roll was the best roll I've had in a long time, and every time I alternated between eating of these and the other one, I was waiting to get back to this one! The crab rangoon.. I do have to go into this, I usually don't touch the sauce much (red sauce, not sure the name) but.. this was perfectly paired with their crab rangoon. The crab rangoon was crab, not fake crab (krab) and I was missing them by the time I was done with my two. As far as the ambiance, it was completely packed on a weekday, and it has reason to be, but, the waitress had enough time to come back again and again, and was very friendly (everyone there was). Pricing? Well.. I just remember looking at it and saying.. hm.. I'll be back, tomorrow? Then my wife said, no.. we have to try other places (but I would have come back the next day). Food is always fresh and portions are large. Staff is super friendly. If we aren't traveling, we're there every Saturday evening. Our favorite is the Sushi Mori Boat for Two. It's huge so, I take 8-10 pieces of sushi nigiri home for my next day's lunch. We bring friends in from time to time and they've all enjoyed their meals every time. The art on the walls is so fun at this location, it's very vibrant and welcoming. All the staff is quick. They're very friendly and their food options are to die for. I've driven by this many many times, and finally stopped in. I was on the early side, so no waiting, seated quickly and given a nice Kirin Light quickly as well. This place has a huge, almost too huge, menu and deciding becomes challenging. Maybe a bit too much. Decided to do something simple, a Thai dish of mixed vegetables with shrimp added and a side of egg fried rice. The main dish was very good, especially the shrimp. They were not stingy, and the shrimp were good sized. The side of egg fried rice a tad disappointing, had a little burnt taste too it at times, maybe fried a bit too much. But all in all the meal was enjoyable. I'd like to try the sushi next time if I can figure out the menu. They need a little FAQ to explain sushi, sashimi, negril (sp?). After hearing so many people say this place was really good, we decided to check it out and we're highly disappointed. Thai food being one of our favorites, we have been looking for some being new to the area. We ordered: the chicken pad Thai which was mediocre. Tofu spring rolls which weren't too bad Tom kha soup which had a weird flavor to it Panang curry beef which was really weird and tasted like tough chewy beef in gravy We also ordered a dragon roll which was the only thing that was pretty good Service was pretty good and the only thing keeping this review from being less. Great customer service, order accuracy, COVID safety protocols, deliciousness, quality, and reliability. My family has loved Thai Thai II for years, and we order almost once each week. We've also chosen a giant sushi boat to celebrate New Year's. Consistent good experiences. The lunch specials are an especially good value, at around $10 each. The sushi-pad thai combo special effectively provides two meals for about $15. The dragon rolls, sweet and sour tofu, and tom yum soup are other favorites of ours. The green curry is delicious too, and little ones love the sweet steak teriyaki kids' meal. This restaurant is a crowd pleaser, and an easy introduction to Thai (and Japanese!) food for anyone afraid of excessive spiciness or strange ingredients. Came for dinner Friday night around 745PM and was lucky enough to be seated quickly. Craving Sushi again we ordered almost immediately after being seated. We ordered the Sea of Love, Tornado Roll, and the Sushi Bomb. Again I was very impressed of the sizes of their sushi rolls. I'm mean the Sushi Bomb was a monster and so delicious too. Sushi Bomb and the Sea of Love are for sure now my good to rolls. I really liked how the Sushi Bomb roll was flash fried so the roll was crispy on the outside but the fish was still raw on the inside. Favorite type of roll. I also got to try the Mango Yellow Curry which I was one of the best curries I had ever had. Had a 3 level spicy to it with a good amount of kick but wasn't too much to over power the flavor. We've been going to Thai Thai II for years and years plus supported them by ordering takeout during Covid restrictions. Today the first time returning to eat in the restaurant I ordered two rolls one of which was the Crispy Salmon in Signature Roll with 8 pieces . I ate two pieces my husband ate 1 and we both commented on the strong fishy odor so we did not eat the rest of the roll and we then told the waitress. Her comment was " I'll tell the chef". When our bill came we were charged the $13.95 for the salmon roll but we were not charged for the $2 ice tea. Are they for real ? Your loyal customers and residents who live here are treated like this? You acknowledge the fishy smelling roll and still charge your customer? Poor customer relations! Placed our order with our waiter and got our soup & salad and that's when it started. We ended up waiting for over 50minutes and still our main course did not come. A family of 4 came after us and they received their food and finished and left and we still DID NOT get our food. We requested to speak to the manager and were told that the manager would come in later. This is a restaurant business and you should not make paying customers wait for over 50 minutes. We are visiting from out of town and this exceeded our expectations. The reviews were good, but the prices were so low, we were afraid it would not be good. We were wrong. It is some of the freshest sushi we have ever had. And we eat/ live where sushi is really good and affordable. We had some of their Thai dishes as well and the were all good. Meh, this place was okay, at best. I was a bit disappointed with my food and my colleagues were also underwhelmed. I ordered the green curry with tofu and askd to make sure the tofu was fried. I made sure to point out I only wanted if fried as I don't like the texture of silken tofu. I was assured it was fried. Food comes out, it's not fried and it's silken - exactly what I said I didn't want. Server wouldn't take it back or bring me additional fried tofu as he said the kitchen wouldn't be happy. Ummm... What? I proceeded to eat around the piles of mushy tofu and ate just the veggies, but there weren't a lot in the dish. I wasn't planning on eating the rice, but didn't have much of a choice since the rest of my entree was inedible. My coworker had the Volcano duck and it was just okay. No spice, as advertised, just a gooey sickly sweet sauce. I didn't mind his dish, I'd order it, but he didnt care for it. The other two said their dishes were both 'fine' but they wouldn't order again. They had sweet and sour fish and ginger chicken. The manager is the one who cleared out table at the end and asked if I wanted a to go box for the tofu. I said no and explained why I didn't eat it and she just said "okay" and walked away. The customer service and food quality here are one in the same - lacking. I would not return if in the area, unfortunately. read more

Local gem! I have been here a handful of times over the years and Thai Thai's lunch "bento box" specials keep me coming back. Their prices are affordable, portions are generous, and fish always tastes fresh. They have expanded over the years and now offer outdoor seating, which also allows you to bring your dog with you. So I was craving sushi and I wanted a good spot to go too. I actually "yelp'd" this place and it had great reviews so I said why not? I need to try it myself. So I ordered the triple bento lunch special and omg I enjoyed it ! I couldn't even finish it all. The spicy tuna was good as well as the crab sushi roll.
