So, the photos on Yelp and some of the reviews had me convinced that this may have been a legit Thai restaurant, well it was mediocre at best! I realize this was Canada and my expectations were low to start but overall the food was just mediocre. First, let's start with the Pineapple fried rice, it looked great on the plate and it was and had all the things mixed but the flavor was a 3 out of 10, it was almost as if they didn't salt the food at all which I thought was bizarre but I was hungry so I ate half of it. Now to the general tao chicken, typically this is a very reliable dish here in the states but at this restaurant it felt like someone purchased popcorn chicken from a grocery store and put some fresh veggies on top and added some strange sauce which was a mixture of sweet and sour sauce and fish sauce? The flavor of the chicken was also 3 out of 10 and it was very difficult to chew because the pieces were quite hard. Maybe this was just a bad day for for the server because she didn't even bother bringing me any sauces for my rice, she never returned after dropping off my food and I had to get up and get my own to-go box while she helped other customers. First time trying out this place, and I was pleasantly surprised. I love Thai food, and generally stick to my favourite places, this will be added to the rotation. Pleasant enough inside and comfortable. Not to decorative. Decent, but not stanoutish. Server was prompt and helpful. Food was excellent. We decided to try a bunch of items and they were all delicious. We stared out with ht Taster Platter which included shrimp chips, salad rolls, crab rangoon, spring rolls, chicken satay skewers, and mango salad. Really great value for 22 bucks, and the food was flavourful and bright. Loved the satay skewers and the mango salad as standouts. I would order this again. We split the pineapple fried rice and the cantonese chow mein. Both were tasty. I generally do not order chow mein myself, but this was really lovely and great for non spice lovers. The four stars is only for the food. Came in the early afternoon and there were no other customers so it was very quiet. There is nothing to indicate whether to wait to be seated or choose our table so we waited, for a few minutes before a server told us to seat ourselves. We ordered salad rolls and green curry, both of which were delicious, but there seemed to be a longer wait than we expected, given that there was no one else in the restaurant. The server was pleasant but very inattentive. We had to call across the empty restaurant to get a dirty water glass exchanged and then to request take out containers. Perhaps there was a reason but if we choose to eat here again, it will be takeout. read more

I cannot believe that I was charged $30 for this meal. Eight dollars for these tiny little things with pork in them. The beef isn't crispy in a taste like tomato sauce. Not even spicy. What a joke, I will never order from you guys again. And you charge me more for the coconut rice. $30 never again.. Not an onion or a vegetable insight. As the name says, they serve Thai food. Delicious, authentic, fresh Thai food. I can honestly say I have never had a meal there that was a disappointment. To begin with, the decor and ambience is calming and understated. Often to get really good Thai food, you have to sacrifice atmosphere. Not here. Black leather seating, stylish lighting and simple, open air understated design contribute to this oasis type feeling. Even the washrooms at Thai Together are comfortable! The other night was no exception. We started out with some piping hot onion cakes that were fresh and gave off a tantalizing smell. A perfect start to a wonderful meal. I had the traditional Pad Thai with mild spice. I am not a huge fan of spicy food so I find this is just the right amount of zip - you can taste the spice, but it isn't painful to eat and your tastebuds aren't overpowered. You get a large serving size that you can either eat as a meal or share with your companion. The Pad Thai had lots of fresh vegetables and just the right amount of tofu - I had mine with chicken and I don't like being overwhelmed with too much of the 'fake' protein. The tamarind sauce wasn't too heavy which allowed the noodles to carry the dish My husband's dish was the Thai Together Cashew Nut Shrimp with coconut rice. He was in his glory while eating and I have to say, after snagging a couple bites, I don't blame him. Sweet crisp peppers pineapple, onions and baby corn cooked in a tangy sauce. A sauce that was described as "Sweet and Sassy" - he is so poetic! The coconut rice was sweet and just sticky enough to soak up the sauce. As if this wasn't enough, we decided to try the mango and sticky rice. I don't usually try this dish at Thai restaurants in Canada because I have eaten in Bangkok so I know how it is supposed to taste. Although it is easier to replicate Pad Thai, I have found restaurants struggle with the mango and sticky rice. I was not disappointed. The rice was absolutely delicious! It was so incredibly sweet and succulent, I could feel my blood sugar levels rising. The mango was presented perfectly. Because we don't get the soft, fresh mango you find in Thailand, they sliced it into a fan shape and added a few drops of some type of mango dressing. If they had used a lot of the dressing, it would have overpowered, but as it was, it was just enough to offset the rice. Definitely a must-have. Bonus Tip: The Curry Grouper is to-die-for-good! Thai Together has been a great place for my Bride and I to dine at. I have noticed over the 2 years of attending this restaurant the prices have risen substantially. It does not reflect any better service or extra menu items, not even extra portion sizes. I understand there is a cost of doing business, but I tend to think they are banking on more new people coming because it is great food. I hope it works out for them but it has managed to tone our frequent visits back a few notches. The upside is, you will be well taken care of and the food is quite enjoyable. The food is really good. Plentiful vegetables and large portions in our order. One plate is enough for 2 meals. Staff were very friendly. Red chicken curry had medium heat. Bulgogi beef stir fry had soy and some sweetness and low heat. Complementary rice with each order. Spring rolls were the usual small size and came with a sweet and mild spice sauce. They have just moved. DO NOT GO TO THE OLD LOCATION. The new location not far from their old spot, but has better parking and access. The food is as good or better than before. We just had their platter for 4 and their dinner for 4. All the food was delicious and everyone at the table loved it. Portion sizes, especially the chicken pad thai and coconut rice were ample. So excited that Thai together is open again and ready for business! I had a pick up order for dinner with all my favorites including spicy pad thai, coconut rice, Ginger Beef and yellow curry with chicken. All awesome and still serving up consistently delicious Thai food. The service is very friendly and my order was ready for pickup in under 20 minutes. They have a great online menu as well as some weekly specials. I was more than happy to support one of my favourite Thai restaurants during this difficult time. I love Thai food and am faithful to a few common Thai dishes, no matter where I go. My basics are typically Tom Kha Gai (a coconut tomato soup with kafir lime leaves) and satay (typically chicken and beef), which are easy to find but not always easy to get right. I've been lucky enough to try Thai Together via Skipthedishes (delivery) and also for lunch. I was thoroughly impressed with the flavor and the quality of the food. Value is very good and portions are quite large. The Tom Kha Gai (small portion) had lovely rich flavorful broth, but was not very spicy. I was disappointed that they did not offer it with shrimp instead of chicken. Portion size was okay, a little bit tiny, but with a coconut broth, you don't need too much. Satay was delicious and the peanut sauce did not disappoint - chicken was moist and flavorful and cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself is in a busy little area, very popular around lunch time, but the restaurant was very clean, polished and lovely. Service was attentive and efficient. Would definitely revisit again. Sherwood Park doesn't have a lot of options, especially in non-chain restaurants and especially in great quality food - so Thai Together is definitely to be appreciated. read more

Service was alright tonight, but I enjoyed going to a Thai restaurant that doesn't have carpeted floors for a change and the food was awesome! I do wish their peanut sauce was more of a traditional Thai peanut sauce (it almost tasted powdered), but it was so good otherwise!! We ordered take out today in celebration of my birthday. We ordered 4 dishes, one of which was fried rice and one order of spring rolls. For the $75 we were quoted, we were expecting something incredible but were sadly disappointed. Actually, disappointed was an understatement! While most of the food was tasty, it was not worth $18 a dish! The Shrimp Fried Rice with Basil was mostly rice and the Singapore Noodle dish had little to recommend it. The curry dishes are lovely however, the portion sizes for supper are more suited to lunch. The price of the food probably explained why at supper hour only a couple of tables were filled. The food really fills my curry kick, though I think that either the portion sizes could be more generous or it could be a little cheaper - one of the two adjustments would make me a more frequent visitor. I have been eating at Thai Together for years going back to their old location. The food is authentic and delicious. It is consistently prepared and there is a huge selection of items to choose from. I would say the larger the group of people you dine with the better the experience as you are able to try a variety of items. The curry dishes are amazing and comforting. The Pad Thai is delicious and the green beans to die for. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Owner was so wonderful to us. My friend I hadn't seen each other in forever and they let us stay and extra hour past closing and cleaned up around us before telling us they were closed. My husband and I went for lunch today. It was our second time visiting Thai Together. We both ordered off of the lunch menu. I had Red Curry Chicken and he had Red Curry Beef. Each order was $12.50. Very reasonable. Mine came with jasmine rice and he upgraded to coconut rice for $1.25. Both orders came with a veggie spring roll. I just loved my dish. The rich flavours of Thai Curry came through with the perfect amount of spice. I chose the middle spice level of red as I didn't think I could handle the green! There was a nice mixture of veggies in the stir fry. The dish comes plated as a pyramid of sticky rice with the separate bowl of the curry to allow a person to mix as desired. It was a beautifully saucy dish that I will most definitely go back for. The spring roll was hot, fresh and crispy. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the lack of fountain pop. A can of pop is $2.25. I just had water, but if fountain pop was available I would have had that. Overall, a great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food.
