I came here for a casual dinner with a friend that I have not seen in awhile. When you enter its hard to not notice the awesome atmosphere this restaurant has to offer, from the wall décor to the furniture. It is not a very big restaurant but has plenty of character to it. When I had visited, inside was surprisingly empty as we were the only ones dining, but there was plenty of people in and out with to-go orders. Which is fine, but in my opinion with how good the food tasted I would have expected more patrons to be dining in for a dinner service. For a starter I ordered the chicken wings and a Thai iced tea. The wings came out very quickly and saying they were fried to perfection is an understatement. I wish I knew their secret, but the wings had an amazing fried crisp to them, and the meat was juicy and fall off the bone. Also I can appreciate the size of the wings. To put in comparison, imagine a wing from Buffalo Wild Wings, and double it. These were some healthy chickens they get their wings from. As for my tea, it was smooth and silky with the perfect amount of cream and sweetness. I am pretty basic when it comes to visiting Thai restaurants....I always order Pad Thai. It's a classic and I feel is a fair way to judge a restaurant on their food. This was nothing short of amazing from the portion size to the taste. The noodles came out al dente and flavored with each bite. The chicken was also seasoned and prepared very well and the chopped peanuts are also a nice touch. And did I mention the portion size?? So just WOW! So mad that we've lived around here for almost 4 years and we are just now getting to eating here! We started with honeydew bubble tea which was delicious and super refreshing on such a beautiful early evening. We order the pad pal which was perfectly priced and we got it with no meat accidentally as my husband did it that way because he said he couldn't quite understand the absolutely sweet and helpful woman. It was a wonderful mistake because we got to really enjoy the tastiness of the brown garlic sauce on the vegetables and sopping all over the rice was divine. We cannot wait to go back and have another little date night there in the quaint but festive and lovely decorated space. The entrance area is beautiful with pretty pink flowers that I think are cherry blossoms from floor to ceiling in one corner. We can't wait to return and the prices are perfect! read more

We came to Busaya Thai to try out my girlfriend's parents favorite thai restaurant in the area. We started with the papaya salad, which had a really strong fish sauce flavor to it and could have been balanced better with other ingredients. The dumplings were pretty good, nice and crispy with a good amount of filling on the inside. I ordered the Busaya seafood, which came with a seafood mix in a sauce that seemed to be coconut creamed based. It was difficult to distinguish a particular flavor to the dish, and I have had better versions of this dish closer to DC where they added peppercorns and the sauce was a little more flavorful! all in all the service was super quick and they took really good care of us! To everyone that posted more than 1 star for this place, Y'all must be crazy or on their payroll. This has to be the worse food, Thai or anything else, I've ever had. Spring Rolls, Thai Dumplings, and Drunken Noodles it was all bad and cost me $32.45 including the $5 tip. I swear everything had to be 2 years old and straight out of the freezer. The Spring Rolls where hard, greasy, and the insides were hollow. That's right hollow, there was nothing in them no meat no veggies, nothing, just a hard greasy shell. The dumplings were mushy, and I realize they were steamed but either they where frozen for 2 years or they where cooked for 2 hours. Absolute disgusting. The Drunken Noodles where a glob of greasy, sticky, mush. Again absolutely disgusting. The only good thing about this experience is I now know to never go here again. Y'all can have it. read more

I've had dinner at Busaba Thai a couple of times recently. The space used to be occupied by a Thai restaurant named "Burapa Cafe" - which has been closed for some time. The soup and salad were rather average as Thai offerings go - but the Drunken Noodles were outstanding! The second time - a friend and I met for dinner and dined in. I ordered the Larb Gai as an appetizer, and then for dinner - the Ka-Prow with chicken. I ordered both to be very spicy. The Larb Gai was rather ordinary, and was not at the spice (heat) level I hoped for. However, the Ka-Prow was tasty and very spicy! Every dish is authentic and tastes fresh. I drive past many Thai places to come here.

They make you select a tip while picking up, and it's difficult to zero it out (awkward experience). It is expensive for the amount of food you get. I spent $14 for a pretty small amount of drunken noodle (pictured). The taste was good, but the spice level was much higher than expected. Very diffivultnto enjoy eating it.Definitely ask them to tone it down if you get a naturally spicy dish. I'm not sure if I'll be back. We got Tom Yum soup and the winter shrimp for our appetizers. My boyfriend liked the soup, but the winter shrimp, on the other hand, was OK -- not a fan to be honest. I ordered shrimp pad thai for my entree and my bf got the beef drunken noodle. My pad thai was really good, they put a lot of shrimp and the flavor wasn't too overwhelming. My boyfriend also liked his drunken noodle, it was really spicy though...we told them to make it less spicy and it was still pretty spicy but it was bearable. Service was 5/5. Sorry but my experience was not that great with them on my first visit. Ordered the drunken noodles with some added veggies and chicken. Asked them to make it a little spicy. They mention a 30 minute wait. No problem there. Picked up the order on time. Got it back to the house (5 minutes away). The food looked mushy and over cooked. No flavor at all. Busaba is by far the best Thai spot in the area. I have been here more than a dozen times and have never been disappointed. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating, the food is always delicious, large in size and appropriately spicy (it's authentic Thai food, so if it says spicy, expect spicy!). I have had many dishes here and truly you can't go wrong. Just to list off a few of my favorite dishes here- The Pad Woon Sen is savory and delicious every time (my all time fav). For spicy lovers, the basil fried rice is a yummy knock out dish. The staples- Pad Thai and Drunken noodle are also very tasty and satisfying. And you can't go wrong with their Pad See Ew. The sauce we dip it in wasn't that great, it was lack of taste. Kinda wish they have different sauce cause tofu kinda tasteless and the sauce doesn't help. For entrée, we got crispy salmon with chili basil and drunken noodle. Salmon was nicely done and serve with rice and veggie. To me it wasn't taste like thai food.
