I went to Pho Sapa for the first time recently for a quick dinner after running some errands nearby. We ordered crispy spring rolls and fresh shrimp rolls for appetizers. My Daughter and I just had a meal at Pho Sapa,We had Pho.So we got our bowl of Pho.It came pretty quick.About 10 minutes later my daughter saw the waiter grab noodles with his Bare hands several times to fill up 2 big bowls and then deliver it to the table across from us. No stars, but it's making me pick one to move forward. I've been getting Pho here for years and each time I go there is a decline in the flavor of the food. The last time I went, a few days ago I ordered a small chicken pho. The chicken was rubbery, the broth had no flavor. I paid over $17.00 and couldn't even finish it, it was so gross. A small was like the size of the bowl of ramen you get for $1.50 at the grocery store. Which is better than this. I was so dissatisfied and disappointed. I love this place. It can be really hard to find decent Pho in Prince William county but I feel like this is the best place a available. When I come here I always get a bowl of Pho either beef or seafood and it always hits the spot for me. I also love the shrimp summer roll with the peanut dipping sauce as a starter and just these two items are filling. The service can be at times lacking but they try to keep up as it can get very busy in the restaurant. There is plenty of seating though and the restaurant is bright and inviting. I admit, I've never had pho before. My hiking friend and I were starving after our hike. We stopped at pho Sapa. I suggested pho because my friend, being from Philippines, would know if it was good. We walked in and seated ourselves. Immediately a man came over to take our order. My friend ordered for the both of us. Mine being, veggie pho. For appetizer we agreed on fresh spring rolls and let me tell you I was hooked at first bite. It was rice noodles and greens with shrimp,(check my pic), astetically pleasing. The peanut sauce was thick and tasted liked greased down peanut butter. I was on fire about it! OMG. That peanut sauce with the wrap was insane delicious. My veggie pho was great with two fried tofu and a lot of bokchoy.. one broccoli and bean sprouts. It was really good. I squeezed the lime on it. I took out a lot of bokchoy. It was just a lot in there. Rice noodles and broth, delicious! I enjoyed my meal. It was filling without being full. Know what I mean? They have a good menu that includes some excellent fried rice, appetizers- love the wings and crispy eggrolls and calamari. Service is always quick, food is always cooked to order and super hot and fresh and it's affordable! Got a small bowl of pho and was pleasantly surprised by the portion size! Same with the spring rolls. Service was great, and they were kind enough to allow our group to split individual checks. Just tried this place...it's delicious. Veggie pho was good, they package nicely and good flavor. Don't get confused at checkout, veggies are included with it! Definitely more of a take out place. Inside wasn't terrible but there wasn't much ambiance. The only "thing" was the SHRIMP. Got the fried shrimp..it was delicious tasting but $9 was a little steep for 5 small shrimps... This isn't good as customers do not know what is going behind the front of restaurant. I've included a snapshot from Manassas Patch from Manassas City's Health Inspection. Here was what the findings: There were several cold holding units that did not have a ambient air thermometer. An employee was observed working with food without a proper hair restraint on. The shelving in the walk in cooler was rusted, not smooth and not easily cleanable/cardboard boxes as food containers. The reach in freezer shelving was visible dirty/debris. There were wet paper towels that were covering foods. There was the shelves that hold pots and pants next to the prep sink is not smooth and easily cleanable. read more

The pho is pretty good, they have good consistency with the broth too. The crispy rolls and soft rolls are delicious. What I paid for and what I received are drastically different. I ordered off their menu photos off of yelp by calling them. I ordered the #10 Stir Fry Meat over Rice Vermicelli. I chose the shrimp. The menu said $10.95 and I ordered the Egg Rolls for $3.95. What I paid for was $14.95 and $5.95. The vermicelli bowl was just rice noodles and 2 tablespoons of chopped veggies and I small container of fish sauce topped with 5 small grilled shrimp. Now if this had more veggies and shrimp it might not have been so bland. The egg rolls were dense and almost hard and with the amount of oil it appeared as if they were already cooked and tossed into the fryer to "freshen" them up. This is supposed to be street food and it's way too bland and expensive to recommend. I will stick with Pho234 instead. Their quality is awesome all the time read more

Stopped in here for dinner the other evening to sample their Garden rolls and Pho Ga. Please note, that on the exterior of the building, the "Cheng's" sign is still up. They have a temporary sign hanging over the front entrance proclaiming their name. I was the only customer in the place when I arrived around 6:30 pm. I grabbed a seat and was promptly greeted with a menu. I looked it over, even though I already knew I was going to order the Garden rolls (with Shrimp) and a large order of Pho Ga. The rolls came out first. The first thing I noticed about the rolls is how tightly they were rolled. I really like this as it keeps the innards of the roll together for the longest possible period of time without spilling out everywhere. The rolls were fresh and tasty with plenty of greens. The Peanut sauce was rather average, but as is usual for me, I added a good bit of Sriracha sauce to it and stirred it in to spice up the peanut sauce. Then the Pho Ga came out. The plate of veggies/aromatics was in fine fettle: fresh and crisp: bean sprouts, Basil, Jalapeños, and lime wedges. The Pho itself was a very light/clear broth. The broth was steaming away, the noodles were not clumped, and the chicken was presented as shredded, not slices. The chicken was very tender. I'm not sure about the broth - overall it was nice, but it had a slight salty tang to it. I'm not sure what is causing this - perhaps the use of MSG? Afterward I was guzzling water which usually means either to much salt or MSG. I can only speculate. I was also wishing they had put a little more chicken in my bowl. If you plan to pay by credit card, please note that they have a minimum - I think it was $10.00. Service was good. I'd come here again if I was in the neighborhood. read more

Came in with the mom today for lunch. I got the large pho tai bo vien aka steak and meatballs. I also got spring rolls for an appetizer and an iced coffee. Spring rolls were OK. It was not greasy, very soft in texture in the inside, mainly due to the ingredient they used, taro. The rolls came out nice and hot which is always a plus in my book. I give it 6 out of 10. The pho, I always look for the aroma, the clarity of the soup and how fresh their ingredients are. When the pho came out, it didn't have that strong pho aroma. The soup is clear and tasted sweeter than other places. The condiments such as the bean sprouts and basils were fresh looking. They are very stingy on the meats. I counted 6 small sliced meatballs, which means it's one meatball and a half. I also counted 4 sliced steak... What a rip off. They however load you up on more banh pho which is the noodles. It's cheap for them to fill you up on the noodles than the meats. You can say damn piggy... But for $8 a bowl I better get an adequate amount of meat. Overall it's OK, I have had better. read more

Not the best pho, but not the worst either. While the pho here was decent, it did not really do too much for me. The noodles were a tad bit undercooked, while the broth was a clear color that needed a little help with some fish sauce. A regular bowl goes for $7 while a large goes for $8. Service is friendly here, but the pricing is a bit odd to me. An order of two spring rolls is $4 while an order of their wings are $5 for 5 small wings. Although the wings were good, the price wasn't justified. A few things that I can praise at this restaurant is that they have a menu that shows you the different cuts of meats; you can pick and choose and make your own bowl (see pictures). Another thing is that they make the best taro boba tea smoothie that I have ever tasted. Hands down. I feel as though they added a bit of something more to the smoothie such as condensed milk that added a delicious sweetness to it. The inside of Pho Sapa is nicer than typical delivery/take out places. It is very clean, the tables are nice, and there is even a T.V. I was told that their pho wasn't great so I decided to try their egg rolls, "banh mi" sandwich special [pic uploaded] as well as their mi xao don [fried egg noodles] with seafood [pic uploaded]. It cost $3.5 for 2 egg rolls which is a little pricier than other Viet places but I don't have anything to complain about them flavor wise. Their banh mi special included a sandwich of your choice, a drink, and shrimp chips for $5. I was alarmed when the sandwich came out on what looked like a regular burger bun instead of a baguette! Biting into it though, the bread was actually really crispy and wasn't too bad. The grilled pork in my sandwich was really chewy though and that ruined the whole dish. I think that this would have been a good Americanized interpretation of the sandwich had the meat been better. Their mi xao don was decent and I wonder if they would actually deliver this dish because it was pretty large. For $14, they give you plenty of seafood and it is definitely a good size to share. I just didn't like the fish patties in the dish because they have a weird chewy texture. I would recommend asking them to leave this out of the dish. Service was quick and the people there are really nice which is hard to find with Viet places! Overall, the food was pretty Americanized so I wouldn't recommend this place if you're looking for authenticity. However, their food was decent enough and I think Americanizing their food was a smart move, especially for the area. They should do pretty well since they also deliver.
