Ordered Chicken, Got Stiff Cracked Skin, not a single piece of chicken. Not worth the price.

This place is a waste of money. Spent $23 for ginger chicken combo with steam rice and I did not taste a single chicken. Everything is deep fried skin with no actual chicken. The service is nice but the food is cunning.

Thai Villa looks like a takeout joint located inside one of those mega plaza that has super sized every stores... But once you walk in and you will be amazed by the nicely decorated interior with all these authentic Thai deco. Lunch Specials for $8.25 mostly a rice dish but good value as it comes with soup, spring rolls and a drink!... Singapore Laksa ($9.99) as usual caught my eyes. Not surprisingly it is not as good as the ones I had in Singapore. But adding extra sambal sauces does makes it a lot more tastier! Lunch Specials - Beef Curry with Rice does have the heat. The beef was first fried then cooked in the sauce so still tender. The spiciness of this dish made my friend face turned all red and sweating. Eating this definitely good for him because it has so much vegetables inside! The menu here is extensive, maybe just too extensive! As usual is hard to prepare a good version of that many dishes. Talk to the friendly staffs, they will definitely give you some helpful suggestion! 10% Grand Opening discount Free Wifi.. maybe I can hang around here a little longer...

Their green curry with fried fish is to die for, it is so delicious every one at our table kept stealing a bite!

We heard that York Region was going back to stage 2 on Monday, my husband and I wanted to support our local restaurants - a friend that stayed over with us were craving Thai food and we took her to Thai Villa. I'm so happy we came here, after my favorite Thai place closed down in Vaughan - it was such a struggle to find something just as great. We called in for reservations for three - got seated very quickly and the service was just impeccable. My friend Vivien got the Penang curry with beef, my hubby got his laksa soup with chicken and shrimp and I got the green curry with fish. The lady was soooo nice when I couldn't make a decision on the curry and some thai places do not have the fried fish - she recommended the green or nyona curry then we asked about more spices added. We are so used to eating spicier food that she brought us plenty of chilli oil - she was absolutely amazing. All of the food were absolutely delish. My hubby finished all of his soup and noodles, Viv and I were struggling to finish our food and took the rest home. She was so excited to have her leftovers for supper when she went home. She also ordered spring rolls which she demolished completely. The bill for everything came up to a whopping 70ish with tip. THAT IS AMAZING, we got so much food - of course the rice and roti cost extra but the bill was half of what I paid for at my fav restaurant in Vaughan and there was LEFTOVERS! We will definitely be ordering take out from here every time we crave thai food. It is absolutely my fav Thai place in the area! Service was amazing, they were super clean and wore mask - great job guys. Can't wait to come here again! Happy eating fellow yelpers and stay safeeeeeee!

Pad see ew and laksa noodle soup. Both very flavourful!

The restaurant and clean and staff were friendly. We ordered the following for 8 people to share: Penang Char Kway Teow - Malaysian Fresh fried noodle with beef and green onion, this was very flavorful and strong Wok flavour which I really like - 8/10 Singaporean Laksa noodle - coconut flavour spice soup base with noodles, veggies and tofu. Can't go wrong, very flavorful and not spicy - 8.5/10 2 orders of stay skewers - we ordered the beef and chicken, and the beef with lamb. These were delicious but each order only came with 6 skewers and these were 20$ each order. So although it tasted very good the high cost makes it feel not as worth. 7/10 2 orders of sweet Roti Canai - slightly sweet and very soft roti, this was one of my favorites, very tasty! 9/10 Mee Goring - We ordered this with chicken and this was good but a lot more saucier than what I expected from a mee goring dish. 6.5/10 Nasi Goring - Presentation was very nice and love how it came with an over easy egg. Tasty fried rice and easy to share. 7/10 It happened to be their 25th anniversary so we got make a draw from their prize pool and we got 10% off our entire bill which was super nice! In total with tax and tips we spent $188.44 for a party of 8 (this is after our 10% off discount) Overall I loved the family style Malaysian restaurant. Portion sizes were good and they had a large variety of food that's suitable for many people's tastes! I recommend coming with family or friends

We were quickly seated and the service was really attentive and appreciated. At around 6-630pm the restaurant began to quickly fill with couples and families. We had the chicken and shrimp Pad Thai and the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goring. We really enjoyed the fried chicken, coconut rice of the Nasi Lemak Ayam Goring, and the amount of spice in the sambal onion and anchovies. The noodles in the Pad Thai had a firm texture which we liked, but for me the sauce was a bit sweet. If coming to the restaurant from 6pm on a weekend, the parking lot is very busy and you could be circling for a parking spot and having to move around vehicles that are double parked for take-out orders.

Choice of little spice, medium spice and burn your tongue spicy. Luckily I chose medium spicy which was just about right. The fish balls, tofu, chicken, bean sprouts were swimming in delicious hot spicy curry broth. When combined with the noodles I could have sworn I heard angels singing. Super delicious at a surprisingly reasonable price. Life is good.

Looks like a table by the front entrance is reserved for owner admin purposes. Front area filled with good luck paraphilia to ward off evil spirits. My friend knew all the staff and proceeded right away to speak Malay. Let my friend do the ordering, I recognized a few of the dishes such as beef curry, chicken curry (both with roti), boneless chicken rice plate, chicken skewers, grilled sambal stingray, penang hokkien mee and a few other dishes (look at photos) I didn't recognise. There was one interesting dish Rojak, a mixed salad of chopped fruit & vegetables smothered in a pungent fermented shrimp sauce, sweet, tangy, spicy, a whole smorgasbord of flavors dancing on my tongue. Three words I've never used to describe Roti, theirs was crunchy, fluffy and moist, wonderfully dipped either in the beef or chicken curry. Chicken skewers were grilled well, meat remained moist with a nice grilled aftertaste, not necessary to dip into the accompanied curry sauce as the overall flavor stood on its own. The Sambal sting ray was a little disappointing, didn't match the memory of the one I had at the Singaporean hawker food court I had a few years ago. Overall flavor was lacking. Penang Hokkien Mee is the real deal, large plump shrimp w/ firm egg noodles in a somewhat spicy flavorful broth. We came on a Friday night, the restaurant was about 50% full, what a great cultural food experience which needs further support.

Char Kwei Teow was nice, the wok hei was very apparent here as well as the Kang Kung Belacan (water spinach). The hainanese chicken while tasty was very bony (menu said it had bones). There was pickled carrot & daikon, which were good but puzzling. The chicken was decent, coming with green onion sauce on top (so it was Hainan style, not Malaysian). There was no dark soy sauce but the chili was about right. The soup tasted right but was very dilute. Bok choy on the side was decent. It came with soy sauce & oil. Ayam goreng rice had freshly fried chicken with the right turmeric-based flavour but it did not penetrate & was undersalted. The dish was also on the dry side, with no sauce. Curry puff had the right flavour but it was weak. The filling was quite pale - there was not enough rempah (spice mix). Shrimp spring roll was fresh & had springy shrimp but was slightly mushy & had a large carrot piece to bulk it up. The dipping sauce was dilute & weird The pho was $10 (without meat, but you get quite a lot for $1). The soup was alright. There was no lime or herbs, but it was cheap.
