    24. Tom Yum Soup

It's been awhile since I've been here. Maybe couple months? Especially on a cold day, I crave Tom Yum soup. If you order it with medium spicy level with some heat, it's perfect. Overall food was good. Love the fact that they are very consistent. We love their sticky sweet rice with mango so much that we ordered two! Our waitress was very friendly and she helps to pick a right level of spicy. The place can look a little fancy but it's cozy at the same time. You can walk in dressed up or in casual, you won't feel out of place.

Such a warm and friendly establishment! The owner Suzy and her family were so kind and attentive. We started with the spring veggie rolls and the peanut sauce was so yummy. All 4 of our meals had great flavor but the Yom Sum soup and Pad See Ew were the favorites. Veggies were cooked perfect, still crunchy and not soggy. Finished off our meal with the Banana egg rolls. If you like coconut you will love these! All in all had a wonderful dinner and will be back soon! Great for a cold Indiana evening. Planning to check out Suzy Tuesdays, half off wine and fries, yum! Also excited to check out their new location opening in Carmel. Going to have a full bar and the decorations look incredible! Forgot to mention we enjoyed a bottle of Willamette Valley Whole Cluster. Being from Oregon we were so excited to see this on the menu.

I finally got the chance to try Thai Villa after having it on my list of places to try for awhile now. Overall, I'd give it a 3.8/5 star rating. The restaurant itself was pretty clean and looked very nice and well-kept. The service was decent. There were no issues or problems. Food: We had a basic ginger salad that came with our lunch meal. For our appetizer, we got the Thai Dumplings. To be honest, I was very underwhelmed by them. They tasted as if they may had been frozen before or something...I'm not sure. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai for my entree. It was good. A solid 4 out of 5 star pad thai. Would I return? Yes, if I were in the area and wanted Thai food. However, I can't honestly say that I would go out of my way to get more.

Tried this place for the first time during lunch and loved the choices and price for lunch. Only $12.99 for soup or salad, spring roll, and an entree. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and clean. Service was good but wished they would refill our waters more frequently, and we had to ask them to take our orders since we were waiting for a bit. The food was good but not the best Thai I've had. I ordered medium spice, but my fried rice had no spice at all. All my friends also ordered medium spice level, and their entrees also did not have any spice. Love the free parking lot right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is small, so I would recommend probably call ahead during weekend nights to see if there's a wait.

We were happy with all the dishes we ordered. The pumpkin curry, on special, was the stand out. The curry flavor was very good. The kao soy was on the sweeter side, but the curry flavor was good. It was great they had tofu along with the meat options to choose from. It gets very busy for dinner service, but the servers have a sense of urgency. There are a few tables inside and an outdoor table too.

First off I have to shout out how amazing the owners (husband and wife) were. They were so hospitable and kind showed us that they were truly glad we chose to eat at their establishment. The owners husband was so nice to talk to and very attentive on the water refills, which I needed because I'm a fish and always drink a lot of water. We came in at a slow time on the weekend and it carried over into dinner and the place was packed. A tribute to an amazing restaurant. Don't even get me started on the food, OMGOODNESSSSS!!! The drunken noodles were exceptional and the spice level was right where I wanted it to be. Everything temperature wise was very hot and fresh. There wasn't one thing I wouldn't get again. The environment in there was modern, clean, and very inviting. I absolutely will be back to give them my business. Eager to try another dish from their beautiful menu.

My wife and I visited Thai Villa Cuisine for lunch after church today. She ordered Chicken Pad Thai and I selected the Panang Curry with Shrimp. Hot Ginger Tea and Chicken Satay as an appetizer. I absolutely loved the curry. Tasty with vegetables that were fresh and crisp. -- Definitely five stars for this dish. The Chicken Satay was good, but a little dry. Excellent peanut sauce. Hot ginger tea that was full with flavor. During our meal, Thai Villa Cuisine was busy with customers and everyone seemed to be having a great time. The server team did a great job keeping everything flowing smoothly while engaging effectively with seated customers and "door dashers". I was impressed with how well the servers engaged with a family of six that included children. The restaurant was a warm happy place on a cold Sunday afternoon. Beautiful dinnerware, excellent chandeliers/ lighting and even a cozy fireplace. I felt like family.

The country music playing which was a little off-theme but it wasn't too loud and you can easily have a conversation across a table. Service was very attentive and food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. Food: For appetizers we got the vegetable pakora and vegetable samosas which were solid. There were 8 pakora per order so super easy to share and 3 samosas which are massive so you can easily split these in half if needed. For those wondering, "momos" are essentially the Tibetan/mongolian version of chinese dumplings which subsequently spread southwest to Nepal. We got the traditional Nepali, Chilli Yak, Chilli Chicken, and Chicken C versions which essentially covered the steamed, fried, and soup style preparations of dumplings. All of them were honestly delicious and different enough from one another we didn't feel like we duplicated flavors. The favorite was the Chilli chicken on if you have to pick just one to try. The traditional nepali thali is a dinner set that comes out on a bronze plate, I got mine with lamb curry which was very tender and not too gamey tasting at all. The basmati rice was fluffy and it comes with daal soup, cauliflower, a fermented pickle relish, and one of those syrup soaked balls (gulab jamun). It is quite filling so come hungry if you order this. The chow mein here is unique. It is NOT like Cantonese chow mein which uses a soy + oyster sauce base but instead the Nepalese version adds ketchup and chili sauce so it actually tastes like a hybrid between the chinese dish and spaghetti. It is actually quite tasty and worth a try if you're a fan of either dish. The naan here comes out a little bit oily but otherwise is fluffy and tasty, did not regret ordering it. Overall this place justifies it's 5 star rating. The flavors are punchy and delicious, the portions are massive, and the prices very reasonable especially the inflation nowadays. Would strongly encourage any to go out of their way to give this place a try.

Sometimes everything is delicious, sometimes there's one or two items that you can tell are off. That makes it hard after you've picked all your proteins and they're mixed in your bowl but then you notice the salmon tastes off or the pork is pure rubber. It was more easily noticed this last time when one of the people I was dining with ordered sushi instead of the bowls the rest of us got... he asked us to taste to see if he was crazy but you could definitely tell one of the rolls had a bad seafood taste. I was also carrying a tray with two bowls on it for myself and a person on crutches and a worker lady came up to tell me only one bowl per tray. I said I would move the other bowl to another tray at the end but was trying to be efficient since it was a busy weekend lunch and I didn't want to wait to go through the line twice. I'm a rule follower, but it's not like the trays aren't big enough for two bowls or that I was doing anything that couldn't be fixed at the end. Myself and my friend on crutches felt embarrassed that she kept trying to move the second bowl off the tray while we were still trying to move through the line. The restaurant is spacious but tables were sticky and bathrooms were awful. Worst part was there was water in the hallway that another person with us almost slipped on. Waitress was ok but not helpful. I asked where we could sit that person on crutches could put crutches where they wouldn't be in anyone's way and stretch out leg. Although it was daily busy, there's plenty of tables. She seated us at a corner away from others but then proceeded to seat the next table right next to us, beside our crutches. Which made no sense with as many empty tables as there were and the fact they had big guys and kids... making it very hard for our friend to get out, and after his crutches had been knocked down twice. Hostess at the front was the only one who smiled at us the whole time. The bad sushi roll wasn't removed from the check. And this place isn't cheap by any means. Really loved this place at first but feel like it's slipping.
